After the end of the world that almost took place years ago, many nations and organizations had fallen and been renamed. What used to be half of Europe was now known as Windfall nation.
The appearance of the dimensional rifts had seriously screwed with humanity big time. At first, people discovered that they had awoken with newfound power. Strength, speed, increased senses, as long as it was out of the norm at that time, you were immediately considered a paranormal.
However, there wasn't a clear power ranking in the early years so even E rank hunters who were just a few times stronger than normal people thought that they had awakened to join the ranks of Gods.
And so, a vast crime wave was unleashed as those with superpowers began to do as they pleased while the relatively normal humans could only get bullied unless they had an awakened backing them up as well.
Overnight, nations fell, rebellions started and companies were destroyed. One week after the disclosure of the awakened, the president of america was assassinated.
A month later, Apple company was completely destroyed with nothing left to show for it. Banks were robbed, terrorists organizations sprung forward, the United states had to spread their wings and shake hands with Africans completely to become a brand new continent of its own.
At that time, superstars of the early ages lost their careers. Popular actresses were raped by lecherous fans and popular K-pop stars were murdered brutally by anti-fans who had awakened. It was also during that time that worlds popular soccer star Lionel Messi awakened as an High level A rank hunter.
Popular singer Chris brown died not long after and other celebrities were either reported dead, missing or awakened.
The appearance of the dimensional rifts didn't just bring about superhumans. The dimensional energy known as Mana was proven to be a double edged sword as not only did civilization collapse, humankind discovered that they weren't the only ones gaining benefits from the Mana. However, by the time it was realised, it was way too late.
The plants and animals in the world also absorbed mana and mother nature finally decided to turn against humanity as plants and animals evolved and grew ten times faster. Ordinary dogs evolved back into giant wolves, serpents into flood dragons, and your regular old house cats turned into two headed black tigers.
A war between humans and beasts ensued with the ignorant and unprepared humans on the losing side. Even those superhumans couldn't beat a regular beast in a one on one due to their inexperience as well as inability to identify ranks.
As humans decreased in population, extinct beasts came back to life due to the mana nourishment on their bones. For the first time in the year 2045, dinosaurs came back from the dead. However, if that was all that humanity had to face off against, it wouldn't have caused humans to be pushed to the brink of extinction.
A few months later, the hunters association was created with their goal to bring humanity back to how it was before. Despite the crisis, people with powers continued running amok making their goal impossible to achieve... That was until the worlds first SS rank Gate appeared on earth and out of it, came hordes of monsters as well as an SS Rank monster, the Titan Behemoth.
Years after that incident, chaos had been driven out and order had been restored. The major continents had change and the countries within had also been renamed or taken over.
The American African Union had changed to call themselves The All-star Nations.
........
"What's the problem?"
Currently, in a city a couple miles off situated north of Green Will, there was large building that towered above all other buildings like skyscraper. The glass building was magnificent and had astounding architectural structure with a penthouse at the very top.
This building was the lifeline of Yuan city of the west, and on the body was a large R shaped letter which represented the glory and power of the Redhood guild.
At the moment, there was a middle aged man sitting in an eye-catching room. His facial features were appealing to the eyes as he gazed across the room were a similar looking middle aged man sat behind a desk with his hands typing at his keyboard with an impressive speed.
However, the later who was typing as fast as he could shuddered slightly after hearing the mans voice. Hus back that was covered in a layer of cold sweat straightened up slightly as his ever respectful gaze turned to look at the person who he would consider his superior.
However, he couldn't help his eyes that would drift to the large creature that was laying beside him on a comfy looking bed with its two gigantic eyes closed.
The middle aged man gulped involuntarily as he averted his gaze quickly not wanting the large beast to sense his quick glance. If only he knew that it was impossible from the start.
"Um..... I am only a little more than halfway through all the information we have available at our Redhood Guild sir..... But I have to say that....."
The man couldn't help but gulp again as his neck was a little sweaty.
"I don't think our guild has any information on this newfound expert you speak of". The middle aged man who had his nerd like glasses on sitting in front of his laptop finally dropped the news.
The middle aged man on the other side of the room suddenly had his expression change a bit as his brows creased, however, that was enough to let the monster laying beside the former sense the change in its masters mood.
Two gigantic set of eyes opened up and swept its glare towards the secretary who suddenly stiffened under the mountain like pressure.
The secretary didn't even dare to move its lips, well its not like it could move it even if it wanted to anyway. As a regular human, the pressure being exerted upon him by an A Rank beast was not something that he could casually withstand.
Just this simple glance was more than enough to knock him out unconscious which proved that it was holding back considerably based on the fact alone that he was only sweating and fidgeting slightly. However, the beast that resembled a grisly bear suddenly felt a familiar touch as its masters hand suddenly caressed the fur near its neck.
It immediately show an expression of obedience and ecstasy as it curled its neck and lay back down to enjoy its quiet nap.
"Bai Chen!" The middle aged man said again in a calm yet firm voice causing the man who had just been received of the beasts pressure to stiffer slightly. However unlike the beast that could make him quake with just a glance, there was no pressure coming forth from this man at all.
This wasn't because of some situation where the other party had reached such a high level of strength that he couldn't sense it, but rather the opposite.
This man opposite him, was a regular person who hadn't awakened, just like him. However, he didn't dare to be discourteous in the slightest because of it.
"Our Redhood Guild is the best in the west when it comes to gathering information. Having no info about this new expert is impossible. We even have tabs on some of the hidden files of those S rank guilds. You as my secretary and also the head of the guilds data center should know of this".
The man said with a hint of pride in his tone. They may not be the strongest in the west in terms of strength and lost out to the White Tiger Guild, but that didn't mean they were far off.
After all, it was because of his bonded connection with an A rank beast that the Redhood guild could still manage to stand till this day even if he as one of the Vice Guild leaders was severely lacking in strength.
However, that wouldn't remain that way for long.
"I know of that sir..... But there is clearly no information about this player Neo for all we know. But we have clarified that to achieve such a thing, it is most likely an AA Rank hunter within the game".
Although a little uneasy, Mr Bai who had been in the secretary area for years was very efficient in giving out information.
"Also, we have detected judging from the time rating of his feat that its definitely not just a random AA rank powerhouse. It is most probably a Mid Level AA rank at the lowest possible estimation. However, majority of all high level hunter powerhouses who are playing the game are accounted for and those who aren't don't have the personalities or interests to play a game".
Mr Bai said confidently as he trusted his own information network. He was no longer pressured and had begun to speak with the fluidity of a qualified information's broker as he explained the facts gathered.
Mainly all A Rank and above guilds knew the benefits that Reverbs universe would bring to them, however, only the important core members were included in this little secret.
Not only would it increase the number of awakened but there would be high level talents that could possibly be selected from them. The fact that it would bring in new and fresh blood into all of their guilds was already enough reason to pay attention to such a thing, so therefore, in order to prevent one guild from snatching away all the best candidates, a consensus was reached.
So, there was a major decision taken, and that was to have the major guilds register all A rank and above powerhouses who were going to set foot into Reverbs Universe.
This was mandatory for any awakened A rank and above expert who felt like giving the game a try. However, such an abnormality like player Neo had suddenly appeared and screwed with the natural order of things.
This fact alone had left every major guild out there stunned as the appearance of such a player wasn't registered in their settings. Not just the Redhood guild, even the AA rank guild within their western province White Tiger was also in on the news.
At first, what had crossed everyone's mind was that there was a hunter that had actually defied the consensus and had played the game with registering, but after a dozen minutes of research, all the high level players were already accounted for.
This could only mean one thing and although the possibility was absurd, it was the only thing imaginable.
A newly awakened expert, one who had probably awakened just as he stepped into the game.
A heaven defying genius had been born that was at least at the level of a Double A rank. How big was such a news? For guilds like their Redhood guild, such a news was equivalent to the immensity of heaven and earth when discovered.
And not to mention the fact that the possibility of him being an S rank was also possible, this news had literally shocked them to the core. However, it was still very hard to believe as D rank hunters weren't so easy to be created.
This was Qing Fengs thought process as he squinted his eyes appearing to be in deep thought. As the vice guild leader of the Redhood guild, he knew what a possible S rank powerhouse joining their guild meant. Not only would it be a huge increase to their strength and status, it would also make them no weaker in terms of power and influence than the white tiger guild.
At the thought of this, his eyes blazed with passion as he looked at the secretary and ordered.
"Find out who this player Neo is. I don't care at what cost and what resources you use, just make sure that we, the Redhood guild are the first to find this newly awakened expert".
He said with all seriousness as he spoke again.
"With our Redhood guilds influence, I expect results before the end of the week. Those cocky white tiger bastards must not find him before we do, if they get their hands on a possible S rank powerhouse then our Redhood guild would have to live under their shadows for the rest of our lives".
The secretary could only nod his head and leave the room as fast as he could scared of staying there a moment longer.
"We must get our hands on this player and make him sign a contract with our guild no matter what. With am possible S rank powerhouse, our future potential will drastically increase. White Tiger just you wait..... Hehe!"
Meanwhile, in Skyerow city.
"Bang!" A burly looking man slammed his hand down on top of his table instantly disintegration it to ash.
"Find this player at all costs. I want this player in our white tiger guild before the end of the day, if another guild finds them before we do, all of you in the data department can kiss goodbye to your jobs.
The burly looking man barked fiercely as he glared at his subordinates with red eyes. The aura of an A rank expert exuded from his body pressuring everyone in the room.
"Yes Mr Lawson!" Just like Mr Bai I'm Redhood, these employees answered respectfully and fled at the next moment a as fast as they could. Meanwhile Richard Lawson, a vice guild leader of the White tiger guild frowned heavily as he gazed forward.
Another high level hunter has appeared, or the possibility had appeared. If it was true, then another power struggle was going to appear within windfall nations western province.
If they couldn't secure the party in question, their authority and power over the western province would be threatened.
Meanwhile, back inside the game.
The dust cleared in his line of sight to showed massive three meter tall dog like creatures. Each one of these creatures had a large head with multiple Chains wrapped around their bodies.
<< Undead Hounds (Under weakening effect of the heavenly Suppression Chains and have had their true strength and levels reduced ) >>
<< Status: Guard monsters of Necromancer king Solovon/ Level: 7 >>
"Fuck!"Ethan stared at the rising hounds with dumbstruck eyes. Seeing the description of the enemies in front of him, he didn't know whether to be scared, amazed or curse out loud once more.
The system practically said that they were under suppression, but even when their attributes and levels were suppressed, it still showed Level 7 vividly on it. This made Ethan wonder how high were their levels exactly without any such suppression.
"Should they be level 25 or level 30?" Ethan wondered as he looked at the rising hounds that were literally rotten to the core. Then he took a look at himself and one more look at the undead.
No armor, no good weapons, no fighting equipment, extreme level suppression. Was there even a need to continue?
"Nope!" Ethan shook his head as he turned around and exploded with intense speed. Did he need someone to tell him what to do? Nope! Was he stupid enough to be noble and fight to the death, certainly not.
"An not ready to die just yet!" Ethan yelled inwardly as he dashed madly towards the black castle.
