Chapter 12 Gifts

After returning from the magic forest, Olvido's life returned to an orderly one. He studied magic in the school and participated in activities in the community after class, but he became silent.

In the past, when Elena was bothered by curses in the magic class, Olvido would tease Elena while being scheming, "My little fool seems to have trouble. Do you need my help?"

And every time Elena was embarrassed by Olvido. But now, Olvido didn't talk much in class and often disappeared after class. There was no smile on Olvido's face anymore.

Elena felt sad for Olvido's change. "When I was in trouble, Olvido would always be the first one to appear by my side. Now he has something on his mind, and I want to accompany him and comfort him."

On a weekend night, the moon was bright and clear. The moon was like water, quietly sprinkling on the ground, putting a silver-gray gauze dress on the ground. Elena called Olvido with the ring on the roof of the school hall.

After a while, the breeze rustled, and the air was a little cold. Olvido opened his wings, with a unique horn on his head. His bloody eyes and huge body covered the whole night sky, and even the moon was half covered by this body.

Olvido landed on the roof, put away his wings, and said in an anxious but gentle tone,

"Elena, what happened?"

All of a sudden, Elena felt warm in her heart. This man was sad, but he would come as soon as possible when he faced her problem.

Elena replied with a smile,

"Don't worry. I'm fine. I just found that the roof of the school's hall is the best place to enjoy the moon, so I called you here."

Surprised, Olvido sat beside Elena.

"Why did you summon me with the ring? I thought something happened to you again."

"Because I seldom see you in the school recently. I don't even know where to find you." Elena curled her lips.

"Elena..." Olvido stammered.

Elena turned to look at Olvido and smiled,

"Look, Olvido. The moon is so beautiful today. You know what? My mother told me that when you feel sad, you can look up at the sky. In fact, you have never been alone. The stars and the moon are all with you."

Olvido was taken aback. He remembered that his mother once held him in her arms and sang a lullaby for him when he was a child.

Olvido looked up at the moon and said slowly,

"In fact, last time I went to find Cervi, he gave me my mother's belonging. My mother passed away when I was very young. I... I miss her very much."

Olvido looked lonely when he mentioned his mother.

Elena felt bad for Olvido. It turned out that was the reason why he had been silent these days.

Elena took out a string of candied haws from behind and handed it to Olvido,

"Well, you should eat sweet food when you are in a bad mood."

Elena blinked and smiled gently. For a moment, Olvido felt into a trance a bit and took the candied haw berries from Elena.

"I've never eaten this before."

"Have a try. I bought it for you."

Olvido began to taste it. The sweet taste satisfied Olvido.

"It's really sweet."

Elena smiled with satisfaction. After Olvido finished eating, Elena took out the magic stick and gave it to Olvido.

The two people sitting side by side, shaking the fireworks sticks. The sky instantly burst into colorful fireworks, and the happy laughter of the two people rang around.

These days, Olvido finally had a smile on his face again.

"Olvido, I liked setting off fireworks the most when I was a child. One night, I went to the seaside with my friends and set off fireworks by accident. I accidentally lit the thatched cottage next door, but you guess what? A few golden retrievers ran out of the thatched cottage and pounced on me. I was so scared that I ran away immediately. Then I fell into a mud pit, stained with mud. After I went home, I was stained with mud, and my Dad and Mom spanked me hard. "

"Hahaha, didn't expect my fiancée to be so noisy when she was a child?"

Olvido was amused by Elena.

"Olvido, let's admire the moon together. You can come to me whenever you are unhappy." Elena said to Olvido sincerely.

Looking into Elena's sincere eyes, Olvido was deeply touched.

"Mother, you sent Elena to be with me, didn't you? Together with the moon, fireworks, and the starry sky, she is the best gift you give me."
