Chapter 7: Uncontrollable Wrath and the Power of the Tarots

After what I saw the future of Marine, I could only look at her eyes, she could feel my glare was filled with shock and fear at the same time.

She was in confusion at my stare, but my cold eyes were biting her back like a snake. She started to shake and she immediately tried to guard her head, but she was too late, I grabbed her hair faster and started pulling her outside in rage.

She dropped the book on the floor leaving it behind as I pull her outside by force, Himiko was too surprised at what I did then she followed me instead in a hurry.

When we got outside m, I continued walking with her hair in my grip, she was trying to fight back but I was a lot stronger than her, so struggling was all she could do.

We finally got to where I was going to, it was a playground because it was already almost midnight no one was here playing, so I took this as a chance to make things clear.

With all of my strength, I threw her onto the sandbox, and she fell there face first, she tried to get up immediately but I immediately kicked her on the waist.

My kick was powerful that she rolled to on the sandbox, she almost threw up and she hugged her stomach to ease up her pain.

She was shaking on the ground from fear, for the first time this was the only time I struck her which shocked her.

As she was laying weakly on the sandbox, I went closet and lowered at her with pure rage. "You're the reason, you're the reason why she'll suffer!" My shout was loud and powerful that it made even Himiko tremble in fear.

I grabbed the collar of shirt and pulled her closer to my face, I gazed at her eyes in which she felt frozen from looking back at mine. I gritted my teeth and I kneed her on her stomach.

As she was still sustaining the pain of the knee that I gave her, I punched her in the face. She fell to the ground and she threw up.

"It's because of you, everyone I care about would suffer!" I stepped on her head, and the puke that she threw up on the ground in the sandbox went around her face.

Her puke and the sand covered her head, she was trying to fight back which angered me seeing her trying to escape. "So you're escaping so you could plan your revenge huh?! I'LL KILL YOU!"

I clenched my fist to ready for a punch, as soon as I was about to punch her I heard someone shout. "What the heck are you doing?!" Someone covered my face with a hoodie and locked me in my neck with his arm.

The two of us fell into the sandbox, but his strength surpassed mine so I couldn't do anything but surrender to his submission. "Argus! you've gone too far, man!"

The guy who locked me was Gareth, I looked at his face and saw his eyes worriedly looking at me. He was filled with fear of what I was doing and anger too. "This isn't like you!" He shouted in anger.

I couldn't understand why he was helping Marine instead of his friend, I looked at Marine and saw Arisu cleaning Marine's face and wound, Himiko was looking at me in fear and she lended her jacket to Marine.

My mind was confused at what they were doing, it's because of her that the city we live in will be engulfed in flames, it's because of her that Arisu, Gareth, and probably me would die, it's because of her that Himiko would endlessly cry in the dark.

I looked at Marine with pure hatred, when I saw what will happen in the future, I promised to myself that I'll do anything to avoid that situation.

I'll do everything to protect Arisu and Gareth from her.

"Give that freak to me now and I'll kill her!" I shouted in anger.

My three friends were shaken at my declaration, Himiko and Gareth's bodies were frozen in fear while Arisu was looking down at the ground with both of her first clenched up.

Due to Gareth being surprised his arms were unable to move so I escaped, I stood up and looked at Marine- still in anger.

She was trembling on the ground in fear of what I was about to do, yet she wasn't crying at all. Despite the injury she suffered; the punch that I gave her on her face and the to kick that I gave her weren't enough to make her cry.

From the beginning, I started bullying her because of my envy and inferiority, the first time I bullied her she didn't cry once, not a spout of abuse that came out of my mouth was able to make her at least shed a single tear.

So when I first saw that she didn't cry, I made a goal that I would break her apart slowly because feat her, but now that I even kicked and punched her she still didn't cry.

If my goal last time was to make her cry to ensure I can remain on top in our school, right now I want to make her cry because she's the main reason why this city will fall to ruin.

Yet despite the amount of damage I gave her, not a single tear fell out of her eye, it made think that...

It made me think that... "You really are a monster-"

"Will you shut up?!" Everyone was silenced, even though I was shocked too.

In front of me was Arisu, she was the one who shouted to me to shut up. Her face was filled with anger and she was walking toward me with no intent to hide her disappointment.

When she got closer she looked me in the eyes like she was looking at an ugly creature. "It's time to change now Argus, now that we're entering high school, especially you- being one of the people handpicked by the Kings, we need to grow up now!"

I was speechless, my mind was empty because I couldn't think of an argument to fight back, saying to her that Marine will destroy the city soon and her, Gareth, and possibly me would die would make them think I'm the crazy one.

Bullying Marine due to my inferiority complex doesn't excuse of my pettiness, but it also doesn't excuse the fact that Marine would soon enough commit mass murder.

"Grow up..?" My eyes were almost blood-red from rage, I gritted my teeth, my mind was confused and angry.

My fist was shaking and my mind was on the verge of insanity, without noticing it I started laughing like a lunatic, it brought shock to everyone seeing me laugh menacingly. "Grow up..? I don't have time for pointless thoughts..."

"Why are you so stubborn?! We've bullied her for who knows how long now, yet you still want to conti-"

"Yes, I do...." I intervened, with a menacing smile. "Not bully her, but this time I'll kill that witch!"

"Kill her..? What are you talking about? Have you gone insane Argus? Why are you talking about killing right now? Can you see that you're not yourself right now Argus? There's no way that the Argus I know would kill somebody, so it doesn't make sense at all that you would do this?!"

"BECAUSE ALL OF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I SAW! IF ONLY YOU THREE SAW IT! IF ONLY YOU THREE WOULD UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL, THEN YOU WON'T STAND THERE WITH HER!" I held my hair and my eyes started twitching, I started pulling my hair and I crouched on the ground. "If only! If only that which would die, then everything would be okay!"

Arisu couldn't respond to what I said, she was frozen and couldn't do anything but stand there. Himiko who was with me during that time was the same, she knows what happened to me back at that house, but she was confused about what was happening at that time. Gareth was now behind me, he was looking at me with pity in his eyes, he went closer to me and placed his arm over my shoulder.

Arisu, Himiko, and I were shocked at what he did. He looked at Arisu with a massive smile on his face. "Don't worry about him Arisu, I'll bring him back to his house so that he could rest, you two can take care of Marine. Most of the time, another guy can understand another's situation. Come on Argus."

I couldn't do anything but follow him, I know that Gareth is worried about my current situation right now, and knowing him I know that he's willing to somehow listen to my explanation.

Though I can't tell him directly what I saw or else that mysterious girl would kill me, at least I can talk with him to calm my mind.

Getting angry at her and killing her without proper measurement could bring a lot of trouble for me, especially since I'm the son of the Andromeda family.

Shit! I really need to calm down, if my older sister founds out what I did to Marine then she would terminate my studentship at Kingsman College, and I don't want that.

"So? Can you tell me why you did that?" Gareth was looking at me with curiosity, he was checking my body to see if I was truly crazy like Arisu and Himiko thought I would be.

"As I said, you wouldn't get it if you haven't seen it yourself." The vision to see the future is something I only have.

For anyone who has it, it'll be something they'll constantly exploit to overpower themselves, but for me, it's both a curse and a gift- like what that girl said.

"From what you're saying, you didn't do that because you're still envious of her, but instead of another reason?"

"Yes."

"So, do you regret doing that to her?"

I stopped, I remembered everything I saw in her future, it was a hellish landscape- the city that I loved and lived in was almost unrecognizable. If a foreigner or someone not from the city were to see that then they wouldn't recognize it, but if it's someone who lived there for his entire life then he would recognize the city immediately.

"No, I don't." I answered with a deadpan face, I co continued walking to my house and he followed me- still with a curious smile.

"I see... Without the slightest hint of regret, you answered my question immediately..." His smile became smaller and turned to a more sinister one. "Don't you think when it comes to us three you're always honest about your feelings?"

"Huh?" I stopped and looked at him in the eyes seriously.

He heaved a heavy sigh, he went in front of me and continued walking so I followed behind. "Can't you see it? The knot of faith itself?"

"Since when did you get poetic dumbass? Can you just get to the point?"

"As your friend, I'm constantly worried about you Argus. As your friend, I must make sure you'll make good decisions in your life." He stopped, he looked to his left where a vending machine was located in.

He insert some change into the vending machine and clicked the button on his drink. He then grabbed the drink at the bottom of the vending machine and opened it to take a single sip.

It was a coke that he was drinking, after taking a single sip he removed the metal wrapping of the coke bottle. "Look at this."

I grabbed the metal wrapping and looked behind it. "No way is this..?"

"It's another one of those verses..." He replied as he took another sip. "Can you read it, please?"

"Flames that shone brighter than the star, heat that melts the toughest of them all. The power of the High Priestess glorifies the power of the flames within its heart. - Jupiter 1: 2"

High Priestess- number two of the Major Arcana, reading this now can't just be mere coincidence. The way the verse describes what the High Priestess sounded familiar, no, I've seen it myself.

When Marine touched that book it only makes sense that she had a tarot of her own, and by the way, this verse describes the High Priestess, it's saying its ability.

"Gareth give me all of your money."

"Huh? What are you-"

I took all of his money into his pocket immediately, I put some changes on the vending machine and randomly picked a drink, when I got the bottle I removed the metal wrapper immediately.

Gareth took a look and was surprised that there was another verse. He read. "The fate of the world, the fate of everyone's life, luck may determine their fate with the knowledge it possesses. The power of the Wheel of Fortune shall determine one's decision. - Jupiter 1: 10"

I bought another bottle and took the wrapper again, like last time there was another verse.

"With the speed that outranks everything on this world, with precision to control everything it touches, not one can beat it in a battle of speed. The power of the Chariot will outrank its own. - Jupiter 1: 7"

"The power of friendship and love, to change the fate of its loved ones and sacrifice its own blood and sweat for them, the damage it's loved one will impact itself. The power of the Lovers strengthens within the love of its loved ones."

"Blood and bones scattered around, broken spirit and soul on the face if it's victim, to treat the dead as a toy is its own hobby is one thing it powers them. The power of Death is the darkness of its heart. Jupiter - 1: 13"

"It commands the light of heaven, the power granted to it by the light of the Gods is its only way of living. The power of the Hierophant determines the hope of one's heart Jupiter - 1: 5"

"High Priestess... Wheel of Fortune... Chariot... Lovers... Death... Hierophant... Gareth can you get me another one?" There must be a reason why this appeared to me, like some kind of knowledge that I need.

"Sure." He grabbed some spare change on his pocket and put it in the vending machine, as soon as he clicked the button he felt a jolt of electricity hit his finger. "What the heck?"

The vending machine started to emit a dark smoke in top of it and the glass started cracking from the heat of the vending machine.

"Hey Argus we need to get out of here now or we'll be blamed for breaking the vending machine."

He pulled my hand and started running way to the direction of my house, the verses are safely put on my wallet so I ran with him.

As we were running, I looked behind to check on the vending machine and there she was. The mysterious girl standing there like a statue, her smile was charming yet scary.

As she look at the two of us ran away I heard her say. "Those six shall determine your future, Andromeda Argus."
