It only took the chick making a feeble peep over at his father, the harpy pressing his head gently up against the child, for Ukko to know he could shift back to his human if he wanted to. With a whirl of feathers, the grey eagle melted away, the man in his place. He had lost a considerable amount of weight, his rips and shoulder blades protruding slightly even though it had only been a weak. Unlike snakes, the birds ate at least daily though, except when they were nesting, and it had taken a toll quickly. Much of his gaunt appearance was from dehydration, anyway.
Shuule gaped at his appearance, wishing she had brought up food and water for her mate and feeling entirely lacking. She squeaked to Set to go get what they needed, who in turn slung himself down to the lower floor and made Aries' go to the water hole instead to fetch the fresh water.
She closed the space between her and Ukko, hugging him tightly and apologizing for the state he was in.
