Set didn't wait for Shuule to protest, which he knew she was going to do, but her hands were too full to follow him quickly. He wasn't going far, anyway.
With a less than graceful thud, Set leapt down to the ground level, his legs nearly buckling under him as he startled Aries, who let out a bleat before stifling it and putting an arm over his own mouth. Set narrowed his eyes at him, Aries' doing the same right back.
"Weird noise," Set grumbled.
Aries lowered his head a little, brandishing his horns as a warning not to talk about it anymore.
"It's fine, there's things about me people don't like either," Set hissed.
"Are you here to kick me out finally?" Aries straightened up, shaking his head, making his ears flap.
"No," Set started. "The opposite."
Aries didn't quite trust him, sniffing the air for an ambush. He knew the bird disliked him more than Set, and he knew the chick had hatched so he wasn't tethered to the nest anymore.
