Chapter Eight: World Info

The ninja didn't even know what to think anymore. In just a few seconds, this eight-year old girl killed his companions without breaking a sweat. Aren't fallen supposed be be a race that couldn't use any form of magic? How was this little wolf girl able to defeat them?

Suddenly, his thought were cut off as Fate began to approach him. He didn't want to die without even leaving a mark like his friends. So, he took out his knives and charged as well. Fate simply looked at him like he was an idiot.

As he went in to stab her, Fate stepped out of the way, and chopped the back of his neck, knocking him out.

A grin appeared on Fate's face, "Yes! I actually did something people only do in anime and manga! Hahahahaha! This world is fucking awesome!" She looked over at the ninja's body, "But, unfortunately for you, I still don't know a lot, so I'll be relying on you for information."

An hour later, the ninja woke up. His hands and legs were bound together with thick rope Fate found in the ruins. All of his knives and small weapons had been taken away, and his gloves and boots were off.

"Oh? I'm glad you're finally up. Now we can get started."

He looked over to see Fate standing there with a clean body. It seemed she found a water source to wash off the blood. She was also holding one of his knives and some needles he had hidden away as well.

"I'm going to ask you a few questions. Make sure to answer them to the best of your abilities," she said with a grin that send shivers up the man's spine.

Thirty minutes later, Fate stood over a bloody body with the answers she needed. The world's name is Aria. Due to its size, there are actually 10 days in a week, and there was actually 521 days in a year.

It had a sun and moon just like earth. But this world's moon was actually blue in color and it's name was Azura.

Another thing different from Earth was that there were multiple intelligent life forms. The intelligent races included humans, elves, dwarves, fairies, dark elves, giants, anti-fairies, demons, dragons, vampires, amazons/berserkers(same species, different names for females and males respectively), mermaids, dryads, angels, and fallen. Humans are the most populous species, but the dragons are by far the strongest.

According to the ninja, there were also normal animals, but also monsters. Monsters are creatures that could use magic, and included stereotypical fantasy creatures like goblins, orcs, and other large beasts.

There was a total of five continents, the biggest and most diverse amount them being Rydian. Then there was Sylvia, the forest continent. Elysium, the demon continent. Crag, the mountain continent. And lastly, Amaris, the beast continent.

Fate was currently on Rydian, also known as the human continent. These ruins were deep in a forest that belonged to a kingdom called Mikhail. There wasn't any law that was for or against persecution due to one's race, but the religion was a different issue.

When Fate asked him why Fallen were so hated, apparently it was due to the main religion of Aria. It's called the True Faith of Soliar, and it revolved around the so-called true gods. These included the goddess of the world, Gaia, the god of the stars, Sorin, the goddess of the moon, Lyrica, and the greatest of them, the god of the sun, Soliar.

The religion states that humans, elves, dwarves, fairies, and angels are the only creatures worthy of walking freely in this world. All other races are to be seen as monsters and scorned. Especially demons and fallen. Fate asked why that was, but he didn't know. He only knew that because of the religion's influence, rulers all around Aria are becoming annoyed. In many ways, it was more like a very popular cult.

Fate got plenty of info out of him, but a lot of it wasn't good. If she wants to lead her kind like Fenrir asked her, then she'll have up deal with the True Faith of Soliar eventually.

Another reason for the persecution of Fallen is also because they are incapable of using magic. According to the ninja, there's magic energy in the air and in one's body called mana. In order to conjure spells, a wizard has to image the spell itself, then will their mana to make it.

There were six total attributes of magic and all mages are only born with one. They include fire, water, earth, air, light, and dark. But there were also unique types of magic that were only passed down through one's lineage. This was called bloodline magic. However, unless someone was born with mana, they can't use any magic even if they're born with an affinity for a certain attribute.

However, Fate had to wonder, "Then what the hell was that weird power?"

Fallen weren't born with mana, even if they were crossbred with other races. But despite that, Fate was able to use that energy to increase her physical aspects. She could feel how to use this, but she wasn't sure of anything. Was there another form of power in this world that people weren't aware of? Fate knew that she'd have to play around with this power to see what it could do.

Fate breathed a happy sigh and looked through a hole in the ceiling. So many new things and challenges. So many new opportunities. If Fate was still an assassin, she would be dreading going against an organization like the Soliar Faith. But that wasn't the case.

She was actually looking forward to it. She was relishing in the idea of a challenge. But why? Is it possible that the change in her race was also changing her personality? Well… even if it was, Fare didn't care in the slightest.

This was a new world, she might as well change with it. She was ready to take on anything. She wasn't about to let her life end the same way it did on Earth. Little did she know just how much her presence would effect this world.
