chapter 2
Well it is a little bit odd going from 30 to 18 again. You see the oracle before me said that once they found me and brought me back I was to be 12 years younger then the avatar, so in the travel to come here 12 years was taken from my body making me 18 again. She said that it was better this way seeing as how it would be very awkward for a 6 year old me to peruse an 18 year old Aang. She told me that when I was to be born here aang was lost in the ice and the spirits didnt know where to take me before I ended up being born in the other world. She has been helping me train my body and mind to handle the visions I have better, as well as give me pointers on how to bend. I can bend all the elements, much like the avatar. However I am not very good at all with earth and fire, she says that because aang has not mastered those two quite yet. She also tells me that I need to make aang fall in love with me. It's really hard for me to accept that seeing as how i know he loves katara and i know that he has 3 beautiful children with her. She tells me that this universe changed his fate to be that because i was lost and the spirits didnt know if they could find me. However I never had romantic feelings for aang when watching the show as a kid, I was the same age as him then. I want to just be apart of there friend group and help them that way instead of butting my way into there relationship.
"Y/n you know you cant do that, the avatar MUST love you for the would the retain the balance that was lost so long ago" she tells me for the hundredth time. I'm sitting on a flat rock that I made in the center of the pond at the bottom of the waterfall. The rock is just under the water, my legs are crossed with my hands on my knees and my eyes closed as I meditate to the sound of the nature around me.
"You have said that many times, however I can not help how I feel" I say to her without opening my eyes.
"You need to reevaluate how you feel, you have picked up everything that I have helped you with very well, now is the time to make use of it for he is finally coming for you. You need to make him love you" he says as her voice gets softer signaling that she is leaving. I sit for a little bit before I feel the earth and water around me shake and rumble. I can hear the grunts and roars of an animal as it approaches the water I'm in. I smile without opening my eyes.
"Appa" I say before I open them. Sure enough appa is slightly in the water leaning close to me growling. I pull out the apple that I had sitting on my lap waiting for his arrival.
"There is no need for that darling, are you hungry, I had this wating for you" I hold out the apple as appa hesitantly takes it from my hand letting me touch his nose allowing me to hear his thoughts.
"Aww your really thirsty, well it's a good thing that the waterfall behind me is fresh water, you should go back and drink from it as you cool off, I can tell you're hot darling" he softly grunts in acnolagment as he walks to the back and starts to drink from the waterfall as he lets it cascade down on his back. I can see the sachle is still on his back with supplies in it. With a few flicks of my wrists and some motions with my arms I use air bending to unclip the sachle from his back and lay it on the ground near my cabin before it gets wet from the waterfall. I turn around and continue to meditate, the others wont be here for a while.
