He Was Doomed!

Staring at the ceiling the boy was wide awake. If there was still some left over sleep in his eyes when he woke up, it disappeared the moment he heard his cruel mother speaking.

"Hmmm, if you are that sleepy, then you should just rest!"

Those words were no less than a firebomb that was suddenly thrown on him.

Even the nanny was not able to react. She was staring at his mother wide eyed as if she had seen a big monster.

She only came back to her senses and left the room when his mother tilted her head and stared at her.

"Then, we will come later. You shall sleep as much as you want." In the end she even stroked his hair! He was so shocked that he froze for a long time even when they had already left.

His hands reached the part of his hair where she had touched in daze.

"What happened to me? Have I really come back in the past? But more than that, what happened to the evil mother? Why had she let me sleep?

Could it be that it was her trick to punish me later telling that it was a test and I failed it."

He sat up on his bed with a stark thought that looked much more feasible.

Her mother must be trying to test him. How could he be such a fool after living with her for two decades.

He jumped from the bed, and ran to his bathroom. Since the nanny was gone he had to wash himself but suddenly he felt like he had become too small.

He was having trouble reaching the sink and picking up brush.

"Damn. I used to be 6 feet tall. Now I have to struggle again?" he stared at the sky with fierce eyes as if he would see god there.

"I never wanted a second chance in the first place. But even if you want to give me, didn't I tell you that I did not want the same mother if I got a second chance?

Now I have to bear with all the torment again!" he sniffled as he kicked the sink since he was not able to reach there anyway.

But then he stopped and stared at himself in the mirror. What was he doing? Having become a child again had affected his emotions. He was never a cry baby even in his first life, so what is he doing now?

No! His emotions were all over because he had still not accepted that he came back to life. That was also 15-16years ago, when he was still a child.

Wait!

If he was still a child then his brother must have been alive too.

His eyes widened and he ran out of the room. Opening the door with a bang, he ran towards the pearl palace.

The knights that were guarding the door were shocked to see him running. Luci never behaved like a child even when he was a baby. His mother had made sure that he always behaved like a prince rather than a human.

They have never seen him showing any kind of emotions. The little boy never smiled or cried. He had neve thrown a tantrum.

Always looking at them with cold eyes like an adult. He had behaved much more maturely than them.

But looking at him running, they were relieved but when they remembered that her majesty was still in the garden and talking to nanny, fear filled their eyes.

They ran behind Luci to warn him in advance. If the lady found her son running, then not only she would stare at him with a stern gaze but punish them too.

In reality, the lady never punished Luci. she knew even if she would punish him, he would not care about it.

So, whenever she needed to teach him a lesson she would punish his servants whom he deeply cared about. This way, he stops rebelling and does whatever she asks for.

Overwhelmed by the fact that those who all died in the course of his life to save him were all alive made Luci forget the terror of his mother for a minute as he despeartedly wanted to see his step brother, crown prince Lennox.

He had loved him dearly but unfortunately in the war of politics of who would be the next emperor, he had lost his life.

Later he came to know that his mother had already known about the trap and what was going to come but she closed her eyes and never warned Lennox.

If only she had, then he would not have lost his life. And the nerve of the woman, when he went to confront her, she did it even to hide it.

"If I would have saved him, then you would have died at his place. I am not a saint to sacrifice my son for someone else's kid. My responsibility is only limited to you." she said those words so righteously that his blood had boiled.

He was never able to forgive her for this incident and hated her all his life. But in spite of knowing so, she never cared.

She was so heartless.

"Bump"

He was running while lost in his thoughts that he did not notice the presence of two women talking there.

Bumping into them, he lost his balance and fell on his but on the cold floor.

He rubbed his forehead and stood up to apologize when his eyes widened looking at his mother staring back at her with cold eyes.

"He was doomed just after taking another birth!"
