An Odd Feeling

Zhao Chuchu's lips twitched a little upon hearing that. "Do I come across as someone who does that to you?"

Xie Heng crooked his finger at the sawdust on the tip of her shoes.

Zhao Chuchu was at a loss for words after lowering her head to look in the direction he was pointing at.

Those pricks would rather spend their time chasing that family out but couldn't even spare a little time repairing the door! It was broken with just a kick!

"I didn't do it." Zhao Chuchu went on. "I just stepped in and fought against injustice, that's all."

Xie Heng put on a light smile on his face.

"What do you think of Zhao Guitang?" Zhao Chuchu asked, attempting to change the subject. "I plan to re-attach the bones of his legs."

Xie Heng responded, "Was he kicked out of the house?"

"Yes. How did you know?"

"The Zhao clan had always been a bunch of selfish and vicious people. You should do whatever your heart tells you so. I've got your back."
