CHAPTER-26

Alex trudged forward under the blazing heat of the sun for another roughly 20 kilometres, bringing the total distance to just over one half of its original length.

There are still no clouds in the sky, and the enormous sun is continuing to unreservedly bake its tremendous light onto the earth.

This brought to Alex's mind a well-known nursery rhyme from bygone eras, and she adored it:

I have a wonderful hope for you.

After one has matured, one plants the sun.

A single seed will produce a multitude of suns.

One for the Antarctic continent

One for the Ocean of the Arctic

One that is hung during the winter

The great blue moon is seen hanging during the winter.

One hanging at night

Hanging at night

Uh ...

I'm really curious as to whether or not the bear cub was successful in planting the sun...

Alex, on the other hand, found himself in a run-down town soon after leaving the main highway.

The deserted town is completely silent, and the roads are lined with old, rusted cars that have been abandoned. Vine plants proliferate in an uncontrolled and relentless manner, encircling all of the outcroppings in their tendrils as though they were clothing the city. A layer of clothing in a forest green colour.

These seemingly harmless plants, on the other hand, have vines that are as thick as your wrist and, as soon as you approach them, they will encircle you like a python, quickly binding you tightly until your bones are broken, and the spikes on the vine surface will penetrate your skin. Add some dryness to the body.

The doors to a number of stores located on both sides of the street are propped open, but the interiors are a mess, and valuable items have been taken out by either other refugees or mercenaries.

If you go deeper into the buildings, you might also find some stale food and other items like that, but going there during the day is like rushing into the dragon cave where the mutant dragon lives.

Alex walked on both sides of the street, shielding herself from the scorching sun with the signboards of the shops that lined the sidewalk.

You will not be attacked by those mutant beasts that are afraid of the light as long as you stay away from the deeper parts of the building.

On the other hand, there are others just like it that are able to adjust to any environment and will deal a more fatal blow to you in silence.

Alex was moving stealthily in the darkness when he suddenly came to a stop, standing perfectly motionless like a puppet.

He is relying on his acute hearing to detect any movement that may be occurring behind him. He is aware that the three people who ran away from the bar have been following him for a considerable amount of time since they left the establishment.

They waited and did not take any action; perhaps they are still entangled with Alex's strength; could it be a mutant?

It's possible that they want to exact revenge on two of their comrades who, at this point, may have been transformed into the stool of other mutant creatures.

In point of fact, it is more likely that these three men are fancy that Alex's brain may contain valuable light kyanite, which would be enough for them to spend a considerable amount of time together.

Normal people are not invincible when confronted by a first-order Mutant; however, if they are armed and proficient with a firearm, they have a chance of survival.

However, once they had control of the local shotgun, each of them was able to make modifications to it, and it eventually became their primary source of reliance.

No matter how resilient you are, it is difficult to recover your brain after having a close-up shot bombering your head, and you will, at best, become vegetative like a "old person." This is true even if you have a high level of resilience.

Since Alex had no desire to continue spending time with them after that, he simply relocated them to this town.

It is preferable to hide in the concealable buildings of the town rather than become living targets for hostile fire in the open wilderness.

After giving it some consideration for a moment, Alex walked into an empty supermarket that was located on the street.

On a slope on the outskirts of the town, approximately five hundred metres away.

On their way to observe Alex's direction, the three officers rode on the motorcycle while dressed in black jackets and sunglasses.

"That has been put in there for nearly ten minutes, and it still hasn't emerged. Is there any chance that any baby could be found?"

After looking through the telescope and seeing Alex enter, they decided against going outside again.

The building is considered to be a relatively dangerous location during the daytime hours, and as a result, the majority of people do not stay inside for an extended period of time unless the individual they are conversing with is not a typical citizen.

"Brother, I have this nagging feeling that guy may have noticed that we are following him, and he may be setting traps and waiting for us, or shall we wait?"

"Wait a second, I don't think he has the courage to sleep in those monster nests," the other person said.

As a consequence of this, a few of them decided to remain in the advantageous position of the hillside and began to wait once more.

Having said that, this time I waited for close to ten minutes once more. Alex was hiding from the sun there. Under the heat of the sun, they were dripping with sweat like a waterfall. The amount of perspiration was comparable to a waterfall. Even if they supported the umbrella without realising it, their actions had no bearing on the outcome.

In the end, these members of the gang were unable to stand up, and as the sun continued to beat down on them, their emotions became extremely agitated.

"My gut tells me that our three guns don't have what it takes to take out a first-order mutant!"

The leader of the rowdy tribe set the parasol on the ground, pulled his foot off the accelerator, and rode the motorcycle down the slope. When they saw what was happening, the two men who had been following him quickly followed him.

They are so certain that Alex is a first-order Mutant because the other person's thin body can't see how powerful it is, but they can crush the wrist bones of other people with their fingers. This is why they believe that Alex is a Mutant.

They reasoned, therefore, that Alex ought to serve as an interim abrupt baptizer. The time required to acquire abilities is relatively short, and one's mastery of power shouldn't be considered expert level.

These hunters are on the run because they have not yet accepted their own mutation as a baptism. has unearthed valuable blue spar, which is the reason why everyone is so excited about Alex.

They never entertained the notion of exacting vengeance on their contemporaries.

On the other side, Alex, who hasn't shown up in the grocery store yet, is sitting by the wall to evenly adjust his breathing in order to keep his best energy so that he can deal with the three guys who will be coming soon.

At this point, he reached into his backpack and pulled out the "gun of peace," grabbing it with both hands in the hopes that he would be maintained by the leader for a sufficient amount of time and that he would still be able to fire normally.

Alex is now certain that he will prevail over the three fugitives, even if the battle with them proves to be difficult.

The three earthen shotguns that belong to the other party are what he is most concerned about at this time. Although Alex has also developed a good capacity for self-healing, he will expend a significant amount of both his energy and physical strength while he is recovering from his wounds.

If you deplete every ounce of your physical strength or suffer a head wound, it's possible that you will never recover.

"You will show up at some point in the end."

The face of alex lacked any sign of emotion. As he listened to the roar of an approaching motorcycle, he had a good idea that some of them were irritated because the sun had been beating down on them for so long. They weren't even interested in carrying out a covert sneak attack, so they drove straight towards their location instead.

He used the tips of his fingers to pull the trigger of his gun while he was in close proximity to the wall. The manner in which the firearm was held was extremely conventional. He would immediately raise the pistol to his shoulder and pull the trigger without pausing for a second of hesitation the moment he caught sight of an adversary.

Even though Alex has never actually tried shooting a gun, he appears to have had shooting knowledge in his head for a very long time, and this knowledge is actually usable.

Creak ~

The squeal of three motorcycle brakes was heard as they came to a stop around the supermarket.

After approaching the area cautiously, Alex was able to identify the source of the sound as someone walking on gravel while wearing leather boots.
