About to Get Married (Again)

"Are you sure I don't actually have to go?" Cynthia asked George with a concerned tone, they were on their way back from the cemetery, and the sky was too dark for sunglasses now.

Her eyes were puffy and red.

"I will take care of everything, you just focus on spending time with our baby and sleep well, tomorrow in the morning we will go to the courthouse and get officially married," George's heart skipped a beat, he was the one saying the words but he could hardly believe them.

Cynthia sighed, there was no way around the subject, she couldn't postpone her concerns anymore.

"George, this marriage has an expiration date, I would really appreciate it if you refrain from saying things like 'our baby', revenge is mine, and mine alone,"

George's happiness was short-lived, just like that. He knew he had a long way in front of him, and that way was in no way an easy one.

'First of all, she had to heal,' he told himself.
