"Please, don't get the wrong idea about how things were," George suddenly felt very uncomfortable about his confession, "It was the platonic kind of love for a very long time…" he defended himself earnestly.

Cynthia nodded, "I believe you," she said absentmindedly. Had there been anything strange coming from his side back then, she wasn't the type of a girl not to notice it.

Cynthia had other things on her mind right now.

"Are you telling me that you never knew about my feelings for you back then?" She asked, wondering if she had been fooled her entire life by him.

"Trust me, I had absolutely no clue… I knew you like my looks, but you had a thing for handsome actors too... I thought that was it," She had posters in her room for many pretty boys he hated, "When did you ever try to make your feelings clear? Other than the few times you proposed to me… but those really didn't count in my mind, what were you… eight?"
