George fought the urge to shake his wife back to her senses.

He had pulled the covers down from over her head without resistance from her at all, she continued to blink normally, but her eyes focused on nothing in particular, they did not move right and left, and while she wasn't crying just like he had concluded already, the concerned husband wished form the bottom of his heart if she was.

'Crying is ten times better than this nothingness on her face,'

He reached out a trembling hand his wife's way now and saw it trembling harder as it tried to caress her hair, but Cynthia didn't even register all that.
