3rd POV | Gastrea Zone of District 11 |
"Magical Splash!" A shout destroyed the eerie silence of the forest in the afternoon
A spell circle with heart shapes around the outside plus wings and inside the circle is a small heart shape in a larger heart shape with four wings in the corners of the outline of the heart showed up and headed into the unfortunate Gastrea in it's path
Boooooom-!
The ground shook as a huge dust cloud formed
Whish-! Whish-!
The Gastrea was thrown up above the dust cloud as a black shadow jumped towards the falling Gastrea
A red light flashed from the sunlight as it sliced through the Gastrea in a quick motion. Green blood splattered everywhere in the air and became something like a blood rain
The Black shadow came down and walked towards the dispersed dust cloud...The black figure was hit by the sunlight as the black shadow's identity was revealed...
"Kehehm!"
The Black shadow was Toka, She and Sajuna was paired together to clean the forest up faster
Toka waved her hand in front of her face to block any dust coming at her
Sajuna, who transformed into a magical girl with her spell, Magical Dolce Patissiere, which turns any ribbon she touches into a wand to transform to her magical girl form. She also carries a huge bag of Gastrea limbs
"We cleaned up all the Gastrea I could see, let's message them to meet up with them" Sajuna said as she interacted with the holographic screen in front of her
『Sajuna: Guys, we have finished cleaning up our area, how about you?
Kanesada: We're just right about done, Ren is killing the remaining ones』

At Ren's side...
Baanng-! Crack-! Pshck-!
A tree was broken as a result of Ren slashing a Gastrea pinned on a tree, The tree fell from a smooth cut
"Whew! We're finally finished!" Ren said as he cut a piece of Gastrea limbs and put it on his pocket space
"We should head back to our meeting place, Sajuna messaged us on the Chat group that their side is cleaned up" Kanesada said as he pointed his thumb at the direction of their meeting place
『Ren: We're finished here too, heading to the front of the Defense line
Toka: Alright, we are near there already, we're just just gonna wait for you two to arrive』
Ren and Kanesada moved immediately, they were as fast as the wind, Kanesada dashed through the forest, avoiding trees, jumping over roots, jumping on branches, and leaping across a river while Ren just took his sweet time flying over the sea of vegetation
After a few minutes, Kanesada finally reached the end of the forest where they started...There he saw Ren just waiting for him together with Sajuna and Toka
Especially, when Kanesada saw that Ren had already arrived, he became slightly envious of his ability to fly
"Haaa...I really envy how you and Sajuna can fly" Kanesada sighed as he put his hands in his hips
"I know it's annoying right? Sajuna can fly because...She is a magical girl, how childlike" Toka was also quite annoyed that Sajuna could reach a destination faster than her...always with a smug smile on her little face
A vein appeared at the forehead of Sajuna, even though she gained some resistance to Toka's teasing and jokes, her Achilles heel is still there, which was anything about her being a child
"What did you say you edgy woman? Who has black hair and red eyes again? that's like you're born to be edgy!" Sajuna barked back with anger seething on her voice
"I was born with it, like how you were born to be short and look like a child" Toka replied back
'Ooooh! Goddamn! She just fucking burnt Sajuna to ashes!' Ren's eyes widened at the roast that Toka gave back to Sajuna
"What did you say you hag?!" Sajuna screeched back with anger visible on every inch of her face, her face was red with anger that also headed towards her ears
Kanesada leaned and whispered, "Should we stop them?".
To which Ren replied with a smirk, "Nah, it's getting interesting, let's stop them a little later"
"Haaa...." Kanesada just sighed in helplessness while looking at his fellow Chat group members
'He's helpless too, he's a sadist or maybe a schadenfreude' Kanesada just shook is head while he crossed one hand, and propped his other hand to touch his temple

A few minutes went by with bickering, cursing, and almost fighting.... Thankfully, Kanesada broke them up...
They wanted to head back to the Seitenshi's Branch HQ to redeem their reward, until...
Graaaaaghhh-!! Roaaaaar-!!
They heard an earpiercing screech, followed by a roar made by some creature
The Chat group member's eyes suddenly steeled in alert and seriousness
"Let's investigate" With a heavy tone and solemn atmosphere, the group decided to investigate the source of the sound
"Me and Sajuna will fly and scout from the skies, you two search on the ground, we'll alert each other by messaging on the Chat group understood?!" Ren asked as his wings unfolded from his back and Sajuna peeling her large ribbon from her clothes...
"Magical Dolce Patissiere!" Sajuna chanted as a bright light erupted from that ribbon as it revealed a magical girl stick with a red heart gem at the top, surrounded by a gold in a heart pattern, with the body colored pink
Sajuna waved her wand to her front and then waved it above her, an illusion seemed to have happened as it looked like there was a pink background with stars that suddenly flipped to a candy land paradise with rainbows and giant colored lolipops—
Sajuna's original outfit suddenly changed into a frilly dress with blue ribbons at the chest area, and white panties
"Magical Slayer Sajuna is ready for action!" Sajuna shouted with the wand above her as she casted the spell to fly
She then went to fly away on her designated direction to search in
"Where is it?" Sajuna anxiously said to herself in a whisper
Whoosh-!
"No!" Sajuna screamed as she saw a spike suddenly emerging from the forest that was headed towards her
"Aaghh! Kyaaeeehh!" Sajuna barely had time to react and can only move her body to the side, barely avoiding the spike...but it still hit her side and causing her to scream in pain as she started to fall from the sky
Baammm-!
The impact of her fall caused the dust to fly
"Gaahaakh! Guuhhaa!" Sajuna groaned in pain as she spat out blood
Graaaauuuggghh-!! Bam-! Bam-! Bam-!
A roar sounded again, and this time the earth was shaking with heavy stomps from an unknown Gastrea. The Gastrea finally emerged from the forest revealing itself to be a bear of 2 to 3 meters tall with bulging muscles and countless eyes on it's head, and spikes emerging from it's back
'Shit! it's a level 3 Gastrea! Why is it here?!' Sajuna shouted in despair inside her heart, feeling powerless to resist such a beast
'Is this it? Am I gonna die here?' Time seemed to slow like a tortoise crawling and a snail moving
Memories of her sister, her mother, her father, and all the people she has met and became friends with.. All the good times she has had and all the bad times too... Her most fond memory that she had remembered was of her mom smiling and comforting her when she was hurt...
A smile...her most beloved smile full of warmth and protection like she was a shield protecting her from all the maliciousness of the world...
That smile....
A shadow was casted over her eyes, covering them...with a mouth dripping with blood...she smiled
"I...will p-protect the smiles of my loved o-ones" Sajuna said weakly as she saw the bear putting it's paw with claws able to tear through metal above it's head, intending to swing and finish it's prey
"Because...I AM... MAGICAL SLAYER SAJUNA!!" Sajuna shouted fiercely as she pointed her blood dirtied wand at the Bear Gastrea
Graugh-?
The bear roared in confusion at what it's dying prey was doing, a pointless and futile resistance to it's attacks..
Ra-! Ra-! Ra-!
It growled like laughter as it's eyes shone a dangerous light, it smiled with its mouth filled with sharp, blade-like teeth and fangs
"Heh! Go to hell you beast! DIEEE!!" Sajuna said weakly with a manic expression on her face and her hand holding the injured part of her petite body, trying to prevent blood loss
"MAGICAL SPLASH FLAAAAARRREEE!!!!" Sajuna howled and chanted at the same time with a psychotic voice
A heart with a spell circle emerged again like the normal Magical Splash...But this time, it wasn't restraining it's energy and was also compressed to the max....
Boooooommmm-!!!
A loud explosion with pink light piercing the clouds above it appeared as it devastated everything in it's blast radius...Thankfully, Sajuna's Magical Splash Flare wasn't as powerful as the original one, if it was, it would have probably razed the whole forest to the ground
The other members noticed this explosion as concern came to their minds.
"Oh no! Sajuna!" Ren shouted in anxiousness as he flapped his wings as strong as he could reaching impossible speeds, he even reached Mach 2, two times the speed of sound
Booom-! Booom-!
Every time Ren flapped his wings, a sonic booms was heard for kilometers
Baaam-!
Ren had arrived at the scene and saw Sajuna lying on the ground, bloodied and beaten on the ground with blood pooling around her
"SAAAJUUUNNAAA!!!!" Ren cried out in anger and despair as he flew down and took her into his arms
"NO! NO! NO! NO!!" Ren tried to do everything to stop her bleeding, even rending space to stop it from dropping even a single blood, creating an invisible scab on it
HAAAAARGHKK-!!
He heard the roar of a beast emanating from the dust cloud and pit....
"Was it you? WAS IT YOU?!!" Ren's eyes constricted and his whole body shaking
He saw the appearance of the beast, it was bloodied and rugged with huge pieces of flesh that was torn off of it and the spikes were cracked and split
Ren's eyes rolled to the back of his head until....
It came down blood red with black sclera, his body undergo mutation as his hands became black claws that was in the form of a gauntlet and his body forming a shadow-like armor, his clothes getting ripped to shreds, his body became taller and bigger, his face contorting with a sharp jaw and fangs, the upper part of his face was covered with a weird shadow as the only thing that was showing...was his blood red eyes
"RAAAAAAAAGHHH!"The being who was once Ren roared in an inhuman howl
Whaaassshh-!!
4 more wings emerged from his back, it was all pitch-black, devoid of any color or light, the embodiment of darkness, a broken, red halo also formed above his head... A red and black aura pressed on the surroundings area, an aura of despair and darkness
Graaaughhh-!
The Gastrea roared against the being that suddenly appeared, it was quite scared by the aura that being spread throughout their surroundings
That being stood up as it cracked the ground it stepped on, gravity balls appeared out of nowhere at his back, it opened up as eyes as it shot up black lightning with a red outline on the air creating small black holes similar to the lightning
Graaaaauuuuugghhh-!
This time, the beast felt threatened and called all the surrounding Gastrea outside of the forest
Ren formed into the true form of Fallen Seraphim, a monster of rage and wrath filled with dark desires like the devils
The end of the beast hast cometh, A true monster unleasheth, and the true lord of space hast arrived with fury like a raging firestorm....
Despair has come...
