Chapter-59: Meeting the Butterfly Hashira, Shinobu..

After the incidents and ruckus that happened last night, both Ren and Lucien decided that they'll have something to eat because they were starving...
"Hey, the Ramen from that stand over there smells delicious, how about there?" Ren pointed to a Ramen stand with a significant number of people eating and slurping noodles.
"Yeah, let's try that one" Lucien agreed with Ren's proposal and they ordered two bowls of classic Ramen.
"Let's eat" Ren said as he took his chopsticks apart, Lucien following and doing the same.
—Slurp! Slurp!
The two began eating their Ramen with a proficient use of chopsticks. They began gulping the noodles smoothly and drank the soup with the same fervor as before.
—Thump! Thump!
Both of them put their bowls down at the same time, as they ingested the taste.
"It's good but not as good to what we eat" Ren said from his own thoughts and opinion.
"Eh, it's good" Lucien just said as his gaze focused behind Ren.
"What?" Ren asked as he also turned back..
Ren saw a woman with long black hair tied to a pony tail that was being held up with a butterfly-shaped hairpin with violet tips of hair going down the sides of her face. The woman had a small smile on her face.
The woman was wearing a black uniform and a haori with the imitation of a butterfly's wings. The woman was recognized as Shinobu Kocho by Ren, she's the Butterfly Hashira for the Demon Slayer Corps.
"Isn't that?.." Lucien whispered to Ren as they continue to discreetly stare at Shinobu.
"Yeah" The book that Ren gave Lucien also included the current hierarchy and state of the Demon Slayer Corps. The book included the current leader, the pillars, and the roles of everyone.
And that also included the Hashiras, including the current Butterfly Hashira, Shinobu Kocho.
Shinobu noticed their gazes, she looked at them and then smiled while a glint in her eyes appeared when she walked over to them.
"Nice to meet you gentlemen, may I sit here?" Shinobu came by them and requested permission to sit beside them.
"We'll be pleased to, please sit" Ren invited her and gave her permission to sit beside them as she did so.
"Mister, can I order one bowl of Tonkotsu Ramen? Thank you" Shinobu gave ordered a bowl of Ramen.
"Right up!" The vendor responded as he started cooking the Ramen.
"Well then, can I ask some questions to you gentlemen?" Shinobu looked at the two of them that were silently staring at her.
"Ask away" Lucien responded first as he made eye contact with Ren and communicated with head tilts and gestures.
"Then..do you know about Demons?" Shinobu started while her eyes turned into crescents with a smile.
""Haaaah...fuuuuh"" Ren and Lucien both hissed, inhaled, and sighed as they heard the question.
With head gestures, Ren transmitted a message, 'Go.And.Hypnotize.The.Vendor' Lucien understood the task and looked towards the vendor and called out to him.
"Hey, Mister, can you look into my eyes?"
"Hm?" The vendor looked back and made eye contact with Lucien as his last thoughts were filled with confusion.
Lucien cast his apprentice-level hypnosis magic against the vendor as it worked almost immediately because the vendor was only a normal human. The vendors expression became dull and his eyes had a small colorful hue shining, like the sea of stars.
"Ara—!" Shinobu tried to grab her sword by instinct, but Demon Slayers cannot carry their swords in public because they were not recognized by the government and also to not cause chaos and confusion among the general population. By maintaining a low profile and avoid drawing unnecessary attention, they can carry out their duties covertly and effectively.
"Kh!" Shinobu looked back up to see that they're not in the same location as before, they were now on a dark forest, surrounded with towering trees.
Shinobu was shook up and her eyes dilated, but she tried to look calm with a smile on her face.
"Ara, ara..it's a beautiful night isn't it?" Shinobu carefully slid a small hidden dagger in her large butterfly haori, trying to find the right moment to strike.
"it is indeed, Miss Shinobu Kocho, the Butterfly Hashira.." Ren turned around, the moonlight falling and lighting his face in a beautiful blue glow.
"Hmm.. as I thought, you two aren't humans.." Shinobu said in a casual tone, but deep down, her heart was beating fast.
"You're right...about me aren't being a human..but I'm also not a Demon.." Ren said as he walked closer to Shinobu.
"What...do you mean?" Shinobu finally broke her calm facade and her face became serious.
[(Private) Ren: What do we tell her?]
[(Private) Lucien: Tell her you're like an angel or something]
[(Private) Ren: Sounds fair, I'll make something up]
"I...am an Angel, the one sent by the Gods!" Ren said in a loud enough voice as his 12 jet-black wings opened and Ren started floating.
"A Tengu?!" Shinobu said, startled as she looked upon the wings behind Ren's back.
In Japanese folklore, The Tengu's name means, "Heavenly Sentinel" and they took the divine jobs of being messengers and and also as an avatar of a God's wrath.
"No, no, an Angel, kinda the same but I come from the West" Ren explained as he flew right in front of Shinobu.
"And I need to talk to you.."
"What is your goal? What is the order of the Gods?" Shinobu asked bluntly and straightforwardly, she still can't believe about the Gods, but was willing to compromise about something to finally end the hundred year war between humans and demons.
"Me? Well.."
"My mission is to kill...Kibutsuji Muzan, the Progenitor of Demons" Ren proclaimed.
Shinobu's pupils dilated as she heard the proclamation of Ren and also the feeling of hope welling up in her chest..
