Chapter-85: Extracting Gyokko's Blood and then Finishing the Fight Easily..

3rd POV | In the Forest Outside the Village |
The kick landed and with great force, broke the demon's chest. Gyokko was once more sent flying. Gyokko uttered a groan from his eye-mouths as his body landed on a tree. The tree shook and rustled while the leaves fell from it's branches.
The jar that Gyokko was connected to shattered, cutting off Gyokko's Blood Art that gives him the ability to jump between his vases.
"You dare break my precious masterpiece?!" Gyokko hissed in anger as he saw his vase shatter with his inverted eyes.
"Masterpiece? That was mediocre at best, I have seen better vases created than that." Ren quipped back, mocking the shattered porcelain vase. All that Ren said was true though, Gyokko's vase might be high-quality, but it still is mediocre compared to the real masterpieces.
"WHAT.DID.YOU.SAY??!!" Gyokko fumed as veins popped throughout his upper body. The one thing that Gyokko hates the most—
—Was criticism about his "artworks" or "masterpieces", an obvious personality trait of a narcissist. He hates his artworks being called ugly, and also about himself, he hates being called ugly or monster.
"I said that your works are mediocre at best when compared to the vases I have seen." Ren grew a grin while mocking the known weakpoint of Gyokko.
"Graaah! Damn You! My works are a masterpiece!!" Gyokko shouted as he revealed his true form. He grew to a towering 6'4 with his baby arms being retracted into his body and gaining two burly and muscular arms with a mix of a reptilian's, a snake. It had seemed like he molted his old skin from the neck down.
Speaking of Gyokko's snake-like mix, his lower body turn into a snake tail several feet long. His face contorted into a seething fury, frowning and scrunching his face. He summoned a vase in his left hand and pointed the opening of the vase towards Ren.
A torrent of water poured out like defying the law of physics as it floated towards Ren. The physics defying water circled around Ren and then merged together around Ren's head. Gyokko wanted to drown Ren outright and even try to stop him from using his breathing techniques.
The water formed a vase shape, Ren just raised his eyebrows and talked as the water didn't affect him.
"Really?" Ren said, making Gyokko more furious as he summoned four more arms from his body. He also summoned 5 more vases and pointed them at Ren. In two of the vases, grotesque fish demons started flowing out.
The fish demons surfed on the gravity defying water. They opened their mouths and started shooting poisonous needles flying at Ren. The needles shot out like bullets as Ren held out his hand and created a Light magic barrier.
Ching! Ching! Ching! Ching!
The barrage of needles bounced off like they hit an immovable shield. Gyokko minded his failure really badly, his skin itched and he felt like he wanted to rip Ren to shreds more and more—
—And that anger reached a breaking point— That he had wanted to use every single Blood Art that he has at the same time and overwhelm Ren with relentless attacks to shred him into pieces immediately.
The other vases started to spit out clay fishes out, as well as two vases suddenly grew out giant octopus tentacles. The tentacles writhed and raged and attacked the area around it.
"YOU...WILL PAY FOR YOUR INSULTS BY BECOMING MY NEXT MASTERPIECE!!" Gyokko shouted, the gliding clay fish, the needle shooting fish, and the tentacle abomination from Gyokko's jar all simultaneously launched an attack.
They all angled around Ren, encircling him in a pincer attack at all possible way..
"You wouldn't possibly forget that I ripped you out of your space tunnel do you?" And indeed, Gyokko had forgot about that in his own rage. He had forgot the essential part that maybe Ren can teleport too!
Ren used and warped night beside the demon. With a smooth motion, he pulled out a syringe and jabbed it at the demon's unnatural eyes.
"Graaaaagh!" Gyokko screeched in pain as blood gushed out of his eyes. Ren pulled the plunger of the syringe and the blood of an Upper Rank 5 demon was sucked out. He then pulled the syringe out and quickly threw the syringe into his space storage.
"Thank you, now you have to die." Ren replied and summoned his Nichirin sword into his hand through the same way he put the syringe into the space storage, by opening a small hole and letting his sword slip into his hand.
Ren pushed the tsuba with his thumb and the dark violet katana was unsheathed. Gyokko tried to point the octopus vase towards Ren, but he effortlessly cut through all of them in one swift motion.
He took a deep breath and planted his feet to the ground, a velvet flame-like pattern spreading on the side of his forehead. His eyes hardened and fire danced around him..
A burst of force appeared in Ren's heel as he propelled forward. Gyokko, seemingly anticipating and calculating his attack, recalled the needle shooting fishes to his side. Ren just disappeared in his position and reappeared in another closer position.
Foot marks appeared on the earthen ground as Ren blitzed in such a speed that he was leaving afterimages one after another, making him seem like he was in different positions all at once.
A flame trail followed Ren and eventually covered Gyokko's view, like he had created a fiery curtain. At this point, Gyokko had let his needle fishes start shooting randomly and continuously at the field of flames.
"DAMN YOU!!" Gyokko shouted maniacally as Ren reappeared in front of him with a low stance. Ren's blade slashed towards the demon's neck, and as if knowing his intent, Gyokko decided to use his scaly arms to block the strike.
—Ching! Shiih!
But he had severely underestimated the sharpness of the blade and the force behind the slash. The blade sliced both of his arms and eventually reached his neck—
—And with a final gasp of denial and surprise, the blade cut through his neck, ending his demonic life...
