Chapter-93:  The Calm Before Turmoil

Caw! Caww!

Dark crows with red beady eyes cawed, dozens of them gathered above the mansion of Kagaya, awaiting his announcement, for this would be the day before the end of Demons...

Steps resounded over the cobblestone pathway as all of the Hashiras gathered together. They went through the wooden mansion gate and formed up in front of the sliding rice paper courtyard door.

They all bowed simultaneously and a shadow appeared on the other side of the door. A bell jingled. The sliding door opened smoothly and revealed Kagaya sitting down wearing a ceremonial robe. 

The ceremonial robe that the blind master of the Demon Slayer Corps wore had white as its main color like the clouds, with cyan or light blue streaks patterned across the sides and the back. 

Also shining in the sunlight was the golden jewelry that he wore. They were all made out of gold and inlaid with various precious gems passed down in his family. Kagaya has a resplendent necklace hung around his neck and gleaming golden chain bracelets on his wrists. 

The young master, despite the upper parts of his face scarred and his white beady eyes motionless, looked majestic at this moment, in this very second, he showed his grandeur as the patriarch of the Ubayashiki clan, an ancient clan spanning from hundreds of years ago. 

"Ubayashiki-sama..!" The Hashiras bowed and greeted their master respectfully. A bell rang once again and they raised their heads. 

"I have gathered you all here today; for one reason only..And that is the death of Muzan and the end of the Demons' reign of terror!" Kagaya's resolute voice echoed throughout the spacious courtyard. 

Badump!

All of the Hashira's eyes widened and shock spread through their faces as they finally understood the reason for this grand meeting...Tonight, Muzan will surely be killed! They will not let any chance slip by! —

—To finally end this hundred-year-long war for survival!

The only other thought they had in their head was 'how'— How were they be able to kill Muzan? He was slippery like an eel, Muzan always managed to run every time.

Kagaya addressed their questions as he continued to speak.

"With the greatest help we received from Ren-sama, he was able to find Muzan's fortress." The majestic patriarch of the Ubayashiki clan proclaimed.

"Ren-sama found where Muzan is?!?" Shinobu exclaimed first, in shock over the information.

"Ho! Muzan's fortress huh?" Rengoku crossed his arms and huffed excitedly when he heard the news. 

"We gotta make a flashy entrance of course!" Uzui flexed his muscles, specifically his arms. 

"We can finally end this suffering! Ambitha!" Gyomei clasped his prayer beads between his palms again as pools of tears emerged from his white eyes. 

"Muzan..." Giyuu muttered under his breath, seemingly remembering something.

The others remained silent, accepting the information that was given to them, that the day had finally come..

Kagaya continued talking once again. 

"We have gathered all of our forces to siege his fortress and kill Muzan! And all of the Hashiras will be the ones to command them into battle." 

"May I ask a question?" Shinobu asked Kagaya, stepping in front to address something. 

"You can" 

"Will Ren-sama also participate in this battle?" 

In response to that question, Ren just stepped out into the courtyard in front of all the Hashiras. He glanced at them, smiled and started to reply. 

"Indeed, I am, this is my main mission and the reason I came here." He smiled widely at them. 

"By the Buddha's orders...I thank you Ren-sama." Gyomei bowed deeply. 

"No need for any of that, instead, let's all prepare for the siege." Ren dismissed him and waved his hands. 

"Ren-sama is right, let us prepare, all of the Kakushis will be aiding you." Kagaya chimed in and whispered something to his white-haired wife who stood up and walked away. 

"Yes!" The Hashiras immediately replied and heeded his orders.

(Ren's POV) 

I looked at the sun rising until it's directly above our heads, and since this is ancient Japan, it's not sweltering hot, climate in Japan is just right. 

I observed the Demon Slayers moving and running, the place was bustling with activity and fervor. We're getting prepared to assault the Infinity Castle and because I will teleport us using , this will be a surprise attack. 

The raid's also taking place in midday afternoon, where the sun ain't moving an inch as a precaution against Muzan when it's needed, better to prepare than be caught by surprise. 

"Ren-sama, I've finished it." A mature female voice sounded behind me. I turned around and saw that it was Tamayo standing there with a small vial in her palms. 

It must be the Anti-Muzan serum that she made with the blood of the Twelve Kizuki demons. I handed the blood to her yesterday and I accomplished her mission.

As you can see, it is overpowered, especially against living beings which most likely has blood within them, meaning, I can melt them from the inside out. 

"Is it  that?" I asked Tamayo as she held her hand with the vial on it, towards me. 

"Yes, this is it." I grabbed it gently and pushed it into my palm. I inspected it slightly, watching the transparent orange liquid sloshing around. 

"Please be careful, it is the only current sample I have created right now."

''Don't worry, I'll be careful." I nodded towards her, seeing her worried eyes. 

I slipped it in into my space pocket softly and then closed it up after seeing it secured with no chance of shattering. 

I patted my hands as I look back to Tamayo again.

"Thank you...Thank you for doing this.." She bowed deeply to me. I know she wanted to get rid of Muzan since she got out of control and now I'm here to kill him. 

"No, it's okay, he deserves to be wiped off the face of this planet." I respond and a small grin spread on my face.

Today, is a nice day..
