CHAPTER TWENTY
With light steps and a bright smile on her face, Adrianna felt like skipping!
She is happy.
There is justice after all.
That is on the premise that you have to take action, work for it and grab it with your own hands.
If you wait for fate to make decisions for you, it would be a long time coming.
Some insidious people are cunning and slippery.
Your hair would first turn white and your bones would get cold even before justice can be served.
With a far away look, Adrianna stared vacantly at the darkness before her. Recalling unsavory memories.
With her red lips raised in a corner and her almond shaped eyes gleaming in the dark, Adrianna's enchanting beauty is greatly emphasized by the ethereal glow of the moon and the mysterious trees as her back drop.
With her shiny hair softly swaying with the wind, her skin glowing like stars, she is more of a goddess who came down from the skies to entice people.
But as an evil, hostile glint slowly crept into her eyes and a sinister smile taking shape on her full pouty lips, she morphed into an Asura waiting for the right time to unleash chaos and blood bath.
To those duplicitous people who damned her and her loved ones in her past life, don't think you can slither away like snakes and escape from her grasp.
She will leave no trace nor carcass for them to bury.
Thinking about her first offender, Adrianna halted in her tracks.
Then she released a breath full of regrets.
What a shame. It was just broken ribs.
Adrianna frowned.
She then looked over her shoulder as she hears the siren of ambulance getting louder.
Although the distance is quite far already, Adrianna still stared blankly at the place where people still gathered at the spot Mark collapsed.
She heard if the ribs are fractured it can pierce your lungs or your heart.
But that scumbag Mark doesn't have a heart!
Since he lack a heart, she fervently wish his lungs would be skewered by his ribs and be mangled into shreds like spaghetti strands!
That would be a pretty sight!
She just hope Mark would live long enough to enjoy the pain. She doesn't want him to die so easily.
No. No. No.
He wants him to suffer for eternity.
Death is too good for him.
He has to live and savor the taste of the kind of hell he brought to the lives of women who trusted him.
A trust he betrayed with no compunction.
What happened in there, she doesn't know. But one thing is for sure. Whatever disaster befell on that scumbag Mark, its retribution.
That jerk totally deserve it! And more!
Adrianna looked up at the skies.
It would have been much more perfect if lightning could also strike him and let him feel the pain of a thousand wasps stinging from within.
It would also be a welcome bonus if lightning strikes him then bam! He would have an epileptic fit while turning into a skeleton. Like what happens in the movies.
Adrianna let out a sigh of disappointment. So much for wishful thinking.
Leaving a snort of disdain at Mark's direction, Adrianna slowly dragged her feet to the back of the gymnasium.
Now she is faced with a dilemma.
Should she tell Steffie about what happened to Mark?
Gossip like this travels a trillion meters per second. Much more faster than the speed of light!
No doubt about it, this inexplicable incident would be the talk in the village even before she could fart!
Steffie will eventually hear what happened to her knight.
Her stupid best friend is much better than a hound!
She has this ridiculous system that would always detect the presence, direction or any news associated with Mark.
So this shit is impossible to hide from her.
What to do? She needs a damn plan.
She doesn't want this freaking incident to hasten her best friend's fall into hell!
