Taking Sia's advice, I set out to find a Baboon that could teach me how to wield Kiri so that I could survive in this world. Infront of me was a tribe of apes that were all twice my size, they had fur that looked like armor, they were more humanoid than the ones I've seen on earth, in the middle of the gathering was a giant Baboon sitting in a cross-legged position as if it were meditating, it had the green and red energy that I saw the Gorilla defeat the snake with a while back.
"Come out," said the meditating ape.
It knows I'm here? This could be dangerous so I take my shank out and hide it behind my back.
"State your purpose human."
"I want to learn Kiri," I responded.
"How strange," said the ape, bewhildered, "I did not think you humans would learn of Kiri so quickly."
"My guide told me, what of it?"
"So you have a guide? Well your guide must have told you have to take a test, correct?"
"Yes, what is the test?"
The weakest looking of the group walks foward with a ball.
"Touch it."
Oh so it's the classic apptitude test, huh? I touch it and a surge of pain hits me, I let go.
"You've failed."
"How was I supposed to know it'd hurt? Give me a second chance."
"Fine, since you were chosen to have a guide I'll give you another chance, but if you fail my tribe will rip you to shreds."
I touch the ball and immediatly the pain settles back in, I don't let go this time tho, I feel like something is entering my body, like when you drink water and you feel it go down your throat.
'Is this Kiri?' If so then I should be able to guide it somewhere and in most cases in novels the place where energy goes is in your abdomen. I guide the energy to my lower abdomen and it still hurts, if it's not there then where? I let the energy go and I faintly feel it go towards my heart, there it is, I guide it to my heart and the pain fades as my heart fills with energy, it does make sense though, I mean your heart is constantly producing blood and sending throught your body, why would it not produce Kiri? Anyways, after my heart is filled to the brim with energy the pain subsides and the baboon takes the ball back.
"You've passed, from now on you will live here with the tribe, lessons start tommorow."
I've done it, starting tommorow I'll learn how to harness this energy and I'll finally start kicking some ass.
