Let's go to the party!

"Ahem!"

A well-dressed lady seated in the corner cleared her throat as she noticed her man of the dreams staring at hands of another woman holding his assistant's.

It was very wierd as if Eric didn't liked their contact. Even though his face was expressionless like always, Sebastian could feel his stares dagger hole at him. He immediately unleashed his hands from Ayana's grasp and gestured towards the lady at corner.

"Ah yes! You might not know her, but she's the youngest daughter of K&L Corporation. Ms. Scarlett Avenue." His lips slipped the worst introduction ever possible.

"Oh! Please forgive our rudeness ma'am. It's an honour to meet you as well." Betty gasped as she realised her mistake. She immediately shook hands with Sebastian and followed to do the same with Ms. Avenue as well.

But Scarlett still hadn't forgiven the fact that they ignored her nonetheless how Sebastian introduced her. She wanted to slap away her hands but she couldn't afford to show her dark side to Eric. She smiled forcefully with a wrinkled nose and shook her hands with Betty for a brief moment.

Ayana was also done introducing herself to Sebastian, so she moved forward to Scarlett. But to her surprise, she was already done with the greetings now. Her gaze were locked at Sebastian and Eric as if the girls didn't even existed.

Everyone noticed Scarlett's behaviour and was quite disappointed at her, but they still couldn't bring themselves to bring it up due to their own reasons. Among them, Ayana felt humiliated the most, but being in front of her company's boss, she had to be on her best behaviour at all cost.

"Umm, if you could excuse us then.." Betty hesitantly said as she looked at Ayana from the corner of her eyes.

It was a nice opportunity to get on good sides of their boss, but considering the state of mind Ayana was in, it was rather difficult to predict the outcome.

"Are you leaving already?" Surprisingly, Eric casually asked.

"Ah yes, there's a beach party being held outside and I've already bought it's ticket. So we need to go before it gets too late. Besides, we don't want to disturb you, right Ayana?"

"Wha-?! Yes! Yes. We must leave. Thank you so much for sharing some of your precious time with us." Though a bit surprised from Betty's another shocking announcement, she somehow managed to calm down her anxiety. But someone was very glad to hear that.

"Oh! We must've been holding you. You may go and enjoy your party" Scarlett said finally relieved that she could now get rid of those thorns out of her way.

Betty and Ayana bowed respectfully and were about to leave when suddenly Eric stood up from his seat and hold Scarlett hands in his.

"Would you like to join the party too?" He asked Scarlett in his melodious voice. Sebastian and girls flinched for a second, but considering they had nothing to do with it, the girls continued to march towards the exit.

Ayana could only get a glimpse of them looking at each other with a broad smile on Scarlett's pretty face. Unfortunately, she couldn't get to see Eric's as only the backside of his head was visible.

'I wonder if he's smiling as well, just like her...' she was soon dragged away by Betty out of the restaurant.

Meanwhile, Scarlett was blushed all red. It was for the first time, Eric made a move by himself! She was so happy that her wild imagination started running again. How could she resist his offer when he asks in such a seductive voice?! It was an aphrodisiac in itself!

"Yes!" Without any further a do, she clinged to Eric's arm like a snake and agreed to leave.

'Just imagine how wonderful it would be! First we'll party and have some drinks together, then we'll take a stroll alone at the shore with crashing waves. His hands will be around my waist as we would praise the beautiful scenery when suddenly we'll stop in the middle and kyaa!! A kiss!'

Scarlett's smile lit bright just upon the thought of doing so. Her face was like an open book which anybody could read easily.

'I am afraid where this is heading to.' Sebastian sighed as he looked at this ridiculous drama in front of him. No matter how you look at it, Scarlett was being completely fooled by Eric.

How could she fall into his traps despite being so obvious. Is she the same person who's infamous for keeping a harem since highschool years? It might be hard to believe but could it be she has really fallen for him? Love is blind afterall...

The strings were getting more tangled.

Sebastian struggled to somehow get a pass from event manger as the tickets were all sold out. He definitely disagreed with all this chaos happening. What's the use of sticking to someone who's not gonna be yours anyways? Both sides are already in a relationship, so why continue this meaningless game until it gets too late?!

His mind was fed up from all these thoughts. No matter how he looked at it, this game was soon going to turn into an unrequited love drama, yet his boss denied it with an escalating confidence.

"Does he not know how love works?" He mumbled while staring at the couple from a distance. As expected, Scarlett was trying her best to cling on him but Eric repelled her like same pole of two magnets. His gaze were fixed upon the crowd looking for a certain someone, someone who Sebastian definitely knew.

"What took you so long?" He was greeted by the same old grumpy voice filled with annoyance.

"Yeah, My legs have been hurting since I came here. Don't tell me you were slacking off all this time. Ouch!" Scarlett said as she purposely moaned holding her ankle. Unfortunately, her overdramatic trick was too cringe to even watch. We are in soap operas or what?! The boys wondered.

"I apologise sir and ma'am. The tickets were out of stock so I had to contact event manager to make an extra pass exclusively for us." Sebastian said with a poker face while hiding his anger and frustration from the cold assh*le and b*tchy boss in front of him.

"Still, you usually don't take that much time."

Eric said teasingly as he noticed traces of anger on Sebastian's fake smile but Scarlett interrupted in between of their conversation again.

"Anyways we're getting late just by standing here. Should we go Eric?" She complained while grabbing his arms but Eric slid it off. He was very irritated now and seriously wanted to smack her hands this time, but he refrained since it would lead to another series of trouble.

"Yes." He said with averted gaze.
