So, you are...Cat?

"Who's her? She looks a bit too shy. Do you know her?"

Betty grabbed Ayana's cup of coke subconsciously as she leaned over the table to analyse the suspicious figure. Never once in her life has she seen this woman, even though she has been working here for more than four years.

"Hmm.. suspicious indeed..." Betty muttered but Ayana hit her index finger on Betty's approaching forehead and hissed in disguise of a nervous smile.

"Keep quiet Betty. Haha! Please ignore her Cat. By the way, why did you called me? Is there any problem." Ayana raised herself from Betty's grip and jogged towards cat with a welcoming hug.

"Cat? Is this what she call herself? Or is Ayana the culprit here?" Betty started her muttering again as she closely watched those two getting so buddy-buddy with each other.

She's not jealous, definitely not, or so she believed.

The lady was pretty round figured and from the looks of it, and was way too much shy. Her head was hung low and her voice sounded more like a mouse squeaking in front of Ayana's lioness like voice. They were polar opposite yet so close. Betty couldn't believe her eyes.

"A..Ayana! You..you promised m..me you won't call me c..cat in public!" The lady stuttered as she noticed lasers projected at them from Betty's side through her gaze.

"Ah! I am really sorry! Please forgive me." Ayana accidentally hit the back of her head hard as soon as she realised her mistake and turned around to continue this conversation at the table.

"I..It's okay." The lady said while rubbing her other side of arm when suddenly a warm hand wrapped around her shoulders in an instant and before she even realised she was walking in the direction of their seats while being held in Ayana's grip.

"Ayana, yo.. your hands!" She spoke hesitantly to which Ayana gasped.

"Oh no! Do my armpits smell bad?" She stupidly force her nose to smell her own armpits but the lady stopped her in doing so as that wasn't the case.

"N..No! It's just that your f.. friend is here and it doesn't lo..look good when we're like this." Her stuttering increased as she began to lose confidence.

"So you feel uncomfortable when I am around you. Is that it?"

"N..No! Ofcourse not! That's- "

Pfft!

"Relax!"

Ayana instantly pulled Cat towards her with a small chuckle when she began to notice her friend was overthinking things again. Meanwhile, Betty was just staring at them with an awkward gaze. She even wondered if those two were dating but then she decided to wait and let them finish first.

"Didn't I told you to calm yourself down with a deep breath? Relax and just say it whatever that comes in your mind. Don't think too much okay?" She said with a broad grin when suddenly a soft cloud like hands rested on Ayana's rough hairy arm and patted twice.

"A.. Ayana?" Her voice was strangely trembling as she speaked.

"Yes?" But apparently Ayana didn't noticed a single hint from her, that is until she finally noticed the position they were in.

"Yo.. your hands. It's choking me."

"WHAT?!!!! I AM SO SORRY!!!!!!"

It didn't take two seconds for Ayana to jump away from her.

This wasn't their first time happening this since Ayana would always forget to keep a distance whenever she pressed her stone hard face against those fluffy cheeks of her. They were so soft and bouncy that Ayana couldn't resist the temptation of touching and pinching her on cheeks.

...

Seconds passed by and finally after a long round of apologies, the three parties finally came to a settlement. Ayana had already ordered a burger and coke for Cat, and was now patiently waiting for her to calm down. Betty on the other hand felt a bit awkward as it felt like she was stuck like a thorn between them.

"So, are you finally calm?" Ayana gently asked as she took a small piece from her burger, upon Cat's permission, to which the she also nodded and began to speak in her soft quivering voice.

"Yes. I am so sorry for causing so much drama." As expected, her timidness clearly displayed in her voice. But Ayana still hadn't given up on her. She immediately raised her voice in defence only to be silenced again by her savage friend.

"Hey! I told you it's not your fault-"

"Yeah. You're right. It's her's, so please, you don't need to feel so apologetic on her behalf."

Betty interrupted Ayana's speech as she was so tired from all this shit. Ofcourse Ayana revolted upon getting muted so quickly but Betty didn't gave her much attention as she was now more interested in this new fellow.

"By the way, I am Betty. Betty Perez from sales department." She said while raising her hand for a handshake with a poker face to which Cat also nervously raised her hands to properly introduce herself.

"M..My name's Catherine Wilson. I am from the Marketing department." She managed to say without much stuttering, which made her happy from inside.

"Oh! So you're Ayana's colleague then! No wonder I never saw you." Betty laughed as she poked at Ayana's pouted cheeks.

"Uh well, umm, we are often busy with the task so we don't get to m..meet employees from other de..departments." she said while repeatedly glancing at Ayana's pouted face.

Her nervousness was so obvious that Betty now understood it clearly why Ayana was behaving like that when she came here.

'Although it seems Ayana tried her best to muster courage within Catherine, but I guess she still has a long way to go. I wonder if she still doubts Ayana's intentions of helping her... Should I help her a bit? Well, I do have an idea in mind, and, it might just be my perfect chance to tease Ayana again."

Betty excused herself to hide her small chuckles while taking away the trash and returned with a very confident smirk spread across her face.

"Hey Catherine, have you ever seen a human octopus?" She bluntly asked to which Catherine naturally was taken aback. "N..no..."

Catherine was so stupefied that due to her stuttering she couldn't manage to say even a single word clearly, but as soon as she was able to control that Betty stopped her in doing so by immediately enacting her plan.

She quickly grabbed Ayana's face from the other side of the table and twisted her squished face at her.

"Whut?! whut ar u doin u idiut!" Ayana tried to free herself but as she was trying to say something her mouth would often end up making funny sounds, making her even more embarrassed.

As if this wasn't enough, Betty started mimicking her voice while pressing her cheeks hard to make the lips move accordingly. Catherine also tried to release Betty's strong grip from a distance but upon seeing Ayana's face matching with a funny cartoon figure she was used to be fan of back in childhood, she couldn't help but pinch herself secretly to stop her giggle.

She desperately tried to control her laughter but when Betty started to make those funny dad jokes she spontaneously burst out into laughter and a small drop of tear ooze out from the slit of her puffed eyes.

"Please, please stop!"

Surprisingly, as soon as she said those words they both stopped and sat silently to observe her.

"Ayana, her voice..."

"So melodic. Isn't it?"

They both looked at Catherine with a gentle smile and enjoyed how beautiful Catherine's laugh actually was.

Never once did Betty ever predicted how wonderful someone's laughter sound could be as she herself sounded more like a grown old man along with Ayana when they laughed. But Catherine, as her name suggested, she looked so pure and like an angelic maiden.

Not only she was as bright as snow white, her shoulder length wavy hazelnut hair, plumpy and soft skin, heavenly voice, she indeed looked like an angel descended from heaven.

But the only thing which Ayana wished, now Betty too, was to get rid of her under confidence. They could probably guess why and how Catherine ended up becoming so feeble and timid, and now that Betty has known the reason as well, being Ayana's best friend she also decided to help her friend's colleague.

"You look so beautiful when you laugh. Do you have a boyfriend?" Betty gleefully asked to which Catherine gasped as it made her knock back to consciousness.

Her face had suddenly gotten painted similar to the colour of her cardigan, which made Ayana's and Betty's turn to boisterously laugh.
