Chapter 9

With a "squeak," he opened, and walked inside.

A strong stench of rotten flesh engulfed his senses, and Victor subconsciously held his nose.

"Ugh! So many…" He spoke, looking at the randomly scattered dead bodies.

Ignoring, he walked forward towards the firs door that he assumed would lead to one of the rooms.

*Squeak*

As he stood at the door front, while observing the inside, he saw that everything was a mess. There were double beds and a table, but he did not notice anything important.

Checking one by one, he finally went inside the last room at the very back.

"This must be the captain's cabin…" He thought, noticing subtle differences from the other rooms.

It was big, with a large single bed, a closet, a big table and what appears to be a 'safe,' of some sort. Like the other rooms, this one was also in a mess, but there were a lot of papers on the table and the floor.

He walked to the table and looked at some of the documents. Finally discovering something important, his eyes lit up immediately.

It was a bulk of papers. A set of newspaper to be precise.

There were no damages but had little signs of getting aged. Meaning it was up to date when this ship got into their unfortunate situation.

Taking the papers, he first searched for a date.

"June of Sea Circle Calendar 1483!" He read.

Then, taking all what he knew so far into consideration, he tried to narrow down the timeline.

"Now must be somewhere between late 1483 and early 1484."

Victor smiled, finally getting some good information. After taking a moment, his eyes moved to the actual contents.

[[THE ROCKS PIRATES TERRORIZE THE WORLD!!]]

Chin-stroking, he dived into the memories of One Piece, particularly to events before the plot.

He spoke into the quite room, "hmm… The 'God Valley Incident' should be somewhere around 1486… Then the next big thing would be 'Edd War battle'… in another 12 years?" he asked himself, thinking about what he remembered regarding One Piece manga.

"It seems I have time to grow before the actual plot starts." He thought as his expression became more purposeful.

He then glanced at the rest of the scattered documents. There were many bounty posters, some document reports of certain pirate movements, and-

"Charts!"

"This should be the first half of the Grand Line. And this… It says, 'South-Blue.' Hmm… I'll keep these," saying, he carefully folded the nautical charts and turned around to walk back.

But before he reached the door, he again turned around, remembering that there was still something else he hadn't looked inside yet.

He walked to the wall and inspected the square, metal door.

"Who knows? There could even be a Devil-Fruit inside." Speaking to nobody, his hand went to the door handle.

*Clunch*

"What fucking luck. It's actually open!"

There were a few bundles of cash, and four rectangular envelops. His expression changed from excitement to disappointment, then to curiosity.

Disappointed because he did not find anything like a Devil-Fruit. But curious to find what's inside the safely stored envelops.

Ignoring the cash, he withdrew the four envelops and glanced at what was written on it.

His eyes widened, and his heart raced like a child who just got himself a new toy.

One read "Rokushiki Training Guide, by Admiral Zephyr."

The second one, "Dual Haki Training Manual, By Fleet Admiral Kong."

Third one, "Advanced Navigation and Integrating tools into the navigation plan, by World-Government Science Group."

The last one read, "Devil Fruit Encyclopedia."

With excitement and a little bit of hesitation, he carefully teared opened the envelops to find a thick set of papers in all of them.

"Jaya!" Victor called out.

[I'm here, sir]

"Scan these documents and see if you can process any of it!" Michael gave an order.

-Thirty minutes later.

"Did you get everything?" Michael asked.

[Affirmative. Would you like me to save them separately as four different projects?]

"Yes. Replace the term Haki with 'World Energy' on the two documents, 'Dual Haki Training Manual', and 'Rokushiki Training Guide.' Then try and see if you process any of them." Michael said after taking a moment to ponder.

The room went into silence as Victor waited quietly for Jaya to finished 'processing' the information.

-One minute later

"How long will it take for the data to be processed, Jaya?" Victor asked, feeling a little impatient.

[Approximately 76 hours, sir.]

"That long?" Victor asked with a bit of surprise in his expression.

[The skills here are very different and complex. I am running many muscle memory simulations to ensure none of these would bring harm to the physical body or the Saiyan blood line.

At the same time, I am crosschecking them for similarities with all the other combat skills and energy manipulation techniques I have in my database.

It is imperative that you practice any foreign skills or techniques, after I complete a full analysis.]

Victor became dumfounded. He never thought Jaya had such strict protocols when dealing with matters like these.

At the same time, he also became relieved. He felt reassured as he had such a resourceful support at his disposal.

"Yes. Of course mother. Please take your time." He responded with his mouth half agape.

Letting Jaya do its thing, Victor did another search of everything inside. He spends a good 30 minutes going through each room again, but to no avail, he came out with just the cash and four envelops he found inside the safe.

He stood on the deck, once again looking at the dead Vice Admiral, pondering about what he should do now.

"I should burry the bodies, at least as a good gesture for finding those precious manuals." He spoke to himself.

"Hmm… A sword that's not rusted?" Noticing some reflection from behind the body, Victor once again leaned down.

"Great! Another treasure." Victor exclaimed again. He felt that today was one of the luckiest days of his two lives.

The sword was simple, yet beautiful. Its tip was sharp and stunning. It has a blood-red hilt with a circular handguard. The blade curves slightly towards the end and has a slightly purple hamon with flame like patters.

"There isn't a single stain of rust on this. It should very likely be one of the famous swords." Victor thought and looked around to see if there's a sheath for it.

"Nothing?" He said silently.

Looking around a few times to find nothing, he sent the sword and what he found inside the safe to his MSD, before floating to the other side of the ship.

It took another half an hour to explore this part, but this time, Victor did not find anything useful.

He decided to stop and settle today's exploration. But before going back, he used energy balls to explode a hole near the backshore. A hole large enough to burry all the dead bodies.

Reluctantly, and by covering his full body in the nano suit, he carried all the bodies into the large hole before burning them all using his energy. He then concluded by pouring a lot of sand over to cover the hole completely.

Flying back to the crater, he decided to get some rest and form some sort of a plan, now that he knows where he's at.
