They left and Joel had to wait at duke's study. He looked at the map again. There were some figures placed on the map and Joel knew it was something related with the strategy. But all the figures were inside their kingdom. That was weird. Maybe they are about to gather people to attack a neighboring country? He was thinking hard about it when the door suddenly got opened. The duke entered.

"What happened to your face?" He looked worried and touched his cheek delicately.

"I got slapped by a jealous woman and hit by a suspicious man." Joel wasn't willing to talk about what happened in detail.

"Want me to deal with them?" That question surprised Joel.

"No your grace." For a moment he felt touched, it was a while since anyone would care about him.

"Was it because of Gerd?" His look was dark there was something in the duke's expression that made Joel scared.

"Well, partially but it's not his fault." Joel wanted to avoid this topic at all costs, he wasn't willing to explain the whole plan he has been smiting so carefully.

"Explain." That was a command, an order. Fuck no, what to do? Joel was lost for ideas what to say so he did the only thing he could to distract the duke, he kissed him. A little gentle kiss on the lips but it made the duke startled for a moment.

"Joel don't play with me, remember you started it." That was all the warning he got before his grace attacked his lips with his wet tongue.
