Not A Date, Date. Betrayal.

She looked down.

"I didn't know what I was doing." She looked embarrassed.

"Caroline…..You are going to be an amazing mother," He told her, "I don't understand why won't you take the chance, and maybe the only chance….."

She stared into his eyes. They were so blue. He continued.

"To influence a young supernatural. So, why would you let go?" He asked. "Just because people are saying mean things, the people who aren't even going to be around after a little time?"

She understood what he was saying.

"Caroline...You can influence other people," He told her, "So, other people like us, don't turn …...well, like me!"

"You are not that bad, Klaus!" She told him.

"Really?" Klaus's eyes flashed.

"If you want!" She told him. '

"You know, Caroline…" He said, "If you need someone anytime…...I'll be there!"

She smiled, letting go of his arm.

"I know."

They were quiet for a few moments.

"Caroline," He started to ask. "I know you are having a hard time!"

"I know…" She groaned.

"Can I take you out to a fun evening?" He asked. "As a friend?"

"Oh…..Klaus!" She smiled for a second and then thought of the things she had heard from her friends in the past few weeks, "Thank you, but you know, I think it might make things worse for me!"

"Love…."

"Okay, How about I ask Stefan about this?" She told him, "If he agrees, then I will go."

Klaus laughed.

"Okay…"

Caroline took out her cell phone and dialed Stefan's number.

"Oh, hi!" She said,

"Oh, Hello, Caroline!" He replied. "How are you?"

"So…...I was going to jump off the Tower," She started to say.

"Wait, What?" Stefan was horrified. "You realize that it would...…"

"I know, I know…!" She interrupted. "But Klaus was there, and he saved me."

"That's great." He sighed in relief. "I don't know what the hell were you thinking?"

"And…." She ignored the last statement. "He wants to take me out…..just as friends."

"So…." He was surprised why she was asking him.

"I want to ask," She said, "Should I go?"

"I don't know….." He ran a hand through his hair, "Caroline…..I think you are having a bad time, Maybe, you should go!"

"But what about everyone...…" She asked.

"Caroline...." Stefan told her, "If they don't trust you, you shouldn't care what they say…...Go, have fun!"

"Okay, thanks!" She smiled. "You are a lifesaver, Stef!"

"Have a good time, Caroline!"

The phone clicked, and Caroline beamed.

"I passed!" She giggled.

"So, when do I pick you up?" Klaus asked her.

"How about seven o'clock?" She asked,

"I'll be there!"

Stefan turned off the phone, and threw it on the couch. He sat down on the couch. He was sad.

"Are you still on that blondie's side?" Damon Salvatore came inside the room and put the bottle down on the table, and poured himself a scotch.

"Damon, she is not lying!" Stefan picked up his own glass.

"Only you seem to think so!"

Damon smirked at him. "And you lost Elena because of her!"

"I didn't lose Elena!" Stefan gulped. "I am just trying to help Caroline, who is not lying and who needs our support."

"I am telling you, Little Brother!" Damon refilled his glass, "CareBear has gone over to the enemy, and she is just messing with you!"

"Really, Damon?" He asked. "The woman who is just the worst secret keeper ever! And, an extremely loyal person. she has gone over to the enemy?"

"You don't know, Stefan!" Damon was going out of the living room, and waving the bottle softly.

Stefan sighed, he hadn't talked to Elena in six days because of Caroline. And she knew it. Both of them spent the last week consoling each other, but Stefan knew that she deserved a night out, because she was suffering more.

But he was worried for Caroline. He didn't want Klaus to hurt her, and he wasn't so sure what Klaus would do.

He needed to make sure she was safe. Klaus was unreliable and Caroline was a person who believed too quickly.

She also loved quickly, and she got hurt quickly. She believed too quickly, and cared a lot. He couldn't let his friend go, she was the best friend he had after Lexi. And maybe the only one he would ever have now.

He made a decision, he got up and left the house. He was going to spy on Klaus and Caroline.

Klaus was standing outside the Forbes House, he heard Caroline's voice.

"Okay…..Mom!" Caroline shouted. "I am going out!"

"Okay….Honey!" Liz Forbes's voice was heard, "Come back before 11!"

"I will!"

The door opened and Caroline stepped outside, and she was wearing a beautiful black dress.

"You look...." Klaus was fishing for words, "Exquisite."

"Thank you!" She smiled like she hadn't smiled in days.

He handed her the flowers he was hiding behind his back.

"Thank you….." She smiled wider. "And I thought this wasn't a date!"

"It isn't!" He smiled. "There is no reason you can't bring flowers for an amazing woman!"

She took them.

"I love them."

Klaus offered her his arm, and she took it.

"Where are we going?" Caroline asked him.

Klaus took the name of her favorite restaurant.

"How did you know it's my favorite restaurant?" She asked.

"I took a survey from Stefan!" He laughed.

Klaus and Caroline were seated at a corner table in the restaurant. Caroline hadn't had this much fun since she, Bonnie and Elena had a slumber party a few weeks ago.

"That is so funny!" Caroline laughed loudly.

Klaus was telling her the most interesting story.

Stefan was sitting on a table, alone with a drink in his hand. He was looking directly at Caroline.

Caroline had just gone to the restroom, and she came back, and she saw something.

She was coming near Stefan.

"Uh-Oh!" Stefan got up from his chair. He was heading outside.

"STEFAN SALVATORE!" Caroline almost shouted, and he stopped.

"What are you doing here? Caroline hissed.

Caroline was going out, following Stefan while Klaus put several hundred dollar bills on the table, and followed them.

"Stefan!" Caroline pushed him in the corner. "What the hell were you doing?"

"Caroline....." he held his hands up. "I can explain!"

"How?" Caroline demanded. "How can you explain this!?!"

Caroline shouted.

"Easy, Love!" Klaus held her arms, "You are making a scene!"

She fought back to get her arms out of Klaus's grip.

"You don't have a say in this!?!" She pointed a finger at Klaus. She screamed. "This is between me and this traitor friend!"

She pushed Stefan back.

"Caroline…." Stefan started to say.

"I can't believe you, Stefan!" She started to go. "When you were the only person who believed me....or I thought that you did!"

Klaus was standing right beside her.

"Thank you, Klaus!" She smiled through tears, "I had an amazing evening!"

She was walking quickly in the opposite direction.

"Caroline….listen to me!!" Stefan rushed after her. "I was just trying to help. I am on your side, I am your friend, Care! I promise!"

"Some friend you are!" She shook her head, turning back to Stefan.

"Care….." He started to say. "I am just trying to help…."

"Haven't you done enough already?" Caroline threw her purse at him, it hit him in the chest, "Just….Just leave me alone!"

And she went away. He was upset.

"CAROLINE!!" He shouted again, and went after her.

Klaus picked up Caroline's purse from the floor, and went back to the house. He knew she wouldn't see him now….not tonight anyways.
