Kevin's distressful situation was where his hands remained tied behind his back, and he continuously rubbed them back and forth on a sharp stone. Suddenly, upon hearing the word "no," Kevin's hand slipped, causing the stretched vine to snap with a loud noise. Due to inertia, his palm collided with the sharp corner, creating a long laceration.
Notwithstanding the pain, Kevin remained composed and took a deep breath through his teeth. The officer present was already on edge, and when he heard Kevin's breath, he inquired with a wary expression, "What's wrong?"
Determined not to expose his weakness, Kevin laughed mirthlessly and maintained his hands-behind-the-back pose, saying, "Nothing's wrong. It's just that my hands are shaking."
Outside, there was a screeching noise like a massive object blowing up and generating a gust of wind. The whistling sound could be heard from afar, adding to the tension of the situation.
"Take them down! Take them down!! Don't let them in!!!"
In the chaotic scene where Kevin hears the dryads shouting frantically in an unfamiliar language, urging someone to take down the captives and surround them.
Amid the chaos, Kevin's wound on his palm miraculously heals in a flash, allowing him to quickly tear off the entangled cane. Despite the stiffness and discomfort in his wrist, he clicks his bones twice, allowing him to loosen his muscles.
The officer present was amazed and curious about Kevin's actions asking, "What are you doing?"
In response, Kevin remains calm and collected, explaining that he is merely stretching and adjusting his bones. He continues to reassure the officer, "Don't worry, I'll untie you later."
Meanwhile, Ben observes Kevin's movements keenly and tries to imitate him by twisting his wrist to replicate the same clicking sound.
But was stopped by the officer closest to him in a low voice: "Be careful, doing that can't guarantee you untie your hands!"
Kevin addressed Ban sternly, "It is not appropriate for children to imitate this techniques."
Despite the thorny vines, Kevin grabbed them directly and removed the leggings that were covering parts of his body. He then proceeded to clear himself of the vines.
The dryads were not all unintelligent. When they were locked up in the kitchen they removed all weapons from their bodies, leaving nothing for their captors.
To Kevin, it didn't matter if there was a guard outside of the door. He stood up and scanned the area, coming across a row of earthen jars filled with water beside a pile of stone statues on the wall. Without a word, he picked up two crock pots and threw water on the faces of the sleeping officers.
The cold water startled Nick and the others awake. Kevin threw away the earthen pots, walked over with a large horse, and proceeded to remove the vines from everyone's bodies.
Nick and the others were still a bit dazed and asked, "Where are we? Where are those bark monsters? Were there no guards when we were captured?"
Kevin held up an index finger to signal for quiet, pointed to the door and whispered, "I am listening for whoever is closing."
The loud voice of Giant Eagle Dan was approaching. "What's the matter with these tree branches rushing here with their wretched faces?! Is there anything in this thatched shed? Hey!" Yo - how dare you fucking shoot me with an arrow! Can't I slap you to death?!"
The dryads outside were blown around and unable to stand upright. The sound of metal swords clashing became faint in the sound of the wind, almost negligible. The sound of flapping wings followed, and something huge fell on the top of the kitchen, shaking the entire cave.
Everyone had just been released from their bonds and were still trying to move their limbs when they heard the sound. They looked up just in time to see debris fall on them.
The sound of a cold voice rang out again, saying "Be careful, don't bring down this place."
Everyone in the room was stunned.
Nick, with his face covered in plaster, said in disbelief, "Your Majesty? Was that the Emperor's voice just now? Did I hear correctly?!"
"That's right." Kevin patted his clothes, turned his head and said to the group, "We have also assisted the Emperor in his escape from the cave."
Everyone remained speechless. This was not something to be proud of.
Kevin then commanded, "What are you still covering? Let's go." and stomped out of the door.
