Chapter 29.2

Based on what Oswald knew about Kevin, he understood that if Kevin did not deny something directly, it meant that he had guessed correctly.

Many images suddenly flashed through the mind of the young emperor. He remembered the first time he saw Kevin, when Kevin was sitting lazily at the table drinking afternoon tea, and when Kevin would occasionally tell him rumors and stories he had heard from nowhere.

Although Oswald was reluctant to admit it, he had always been both extremely impatient with Kevin and attracted to a certain special temperament in him.

When he was younger, he had a serious rebellious mentality and was constantly at odds with himself. He did not want to think about the reasons for these emotions. However, as an adult, he had rarely had the opportunity to calm down and think about them. Now, he had an explanation for his feelings towards Kevin.

The so-called special temperament was probably a sense of calm that went beyond age and physiological boundaries. This type of temperament was too easy to arouse the instinctive worship of children. Just like when he was a child, he had an inexplicable worship of the once invincible God of Light after watching "The Divine History."

When Kevin came to Pach Manor, he was only seventeen or eighteen years old at most. He was supposed to be a new recruit who had just entered the reserve army and had never seen any battles. However, there was no trace of embarrassment or youthfulness in his gestures and mannerisms.

In the past, Oswald had only thought that Kevin was naturally sloppy and thick-skinned. He did not think there was anything wrong with this. However, now that he thought about it, something was not right.

No one is born with a fixed personality from birth. Personality is only shaped by experience and experience. How much experience and experience can a seventeen or eighteen-year-old have?

Oswald pondered for a long time without speaking.

Kevin looked up and his neck was sore. He lowered his head and rubbed the back of his neck. As soon as he punched twice, he saw Oswald suddenly take a step forward and squat down.

Oswald pressed Kevin's hand resting on the ground of the monument. He narrowed his shallow, almost transparent eyes and leaned in close, saying in a low voice, "How long have you lived..."

Kevin was taken aback.

The young emperor looked very oppressive at this moment. After he said this, he moved closer and lowered his voice. "I was thinking just now, when I first saw you, you had already entered the reserve legion. Since then, you have spent almost all of your time in the barracks. It is almost impossible to sneak into the tomb of God Phae without anyone knowing about it. So, when did you come in?"

Kevin was not used to being so close to people, so he subconsciously backed away a little. However, his back touched the thorn bushes entwined with vines.

Oswald stepped forward and pressed forward again. "When you came to Pach Manor, were you really only seventeen years old?"

His voice was so low that it was almost a whisper, and the tip of his nose was almost touching Kevin's.

After Oswald finished speaking the last few words, he realized that his tone was extremely calm, but his brain became more and more excited. He seemed to have never looked at Kevin like this before, up close and condescending.

This was not simply condescending in the sense of perspective.

On weekdays, the bastard who always made people's teeth itch was leaning against the cane. Because of the twisted angle of his waist and hips, a thin silhouette was outlined by the jacket. Confined in such a small place, he looked truly suppressed.

It would be fine if Kevin was usually docile and easy-going. However, this guy looked generous, but in reality he was thoroughly tough. And when he rarely calmed down and showed no expression, he had an extraordinarily indifferent and invulnerable temperament.

Such a hard-boned person occasionally reveals even a little bit of softening, which is indescribably attractive.

Amidst the inexplicable excitement, Oswald suddenly realized that he had long wanted to cause some trouble for the man in front of him, whether it was provocative sarcasm or harsh sarcasm, just to see such a special side of him.

Because no one else could see it!

The young emperor's eyes moved for a moment, and they fell under the tip of Kevin's nose. Then he lifted them up quickly and said slowly, "How many things... are you hiding on your body?"

After hearing this, Kevin turned his gaze to the side, not knowing what he was looking at.

Oswald frowned subconsciously and followed his gaze. Except for a bug lamp on the top of the monument and the darkness a little far away, there was nothing special.

When Oswald turned his eyes back, he found that Kevin had quickly returned to his calm and composed appearance. The bastard actually raised his hand and boldly patted his cheek, and said in a shameless impudent tone, "Guess."

Oswald: "..."

Just then, the giant beastman Dan led the little lion along the path. He yelled, "I knew you were feeling your way along the road, and I saw the bug lights in your hands. What the hell?"

Before he could finish his sentence, two people, one big and one small, froze in place.

Dan opened his mouth and looked blankly at Oswald, who was kneeling, and then at Kevin, who was pressed against the cane by his lap. He then covered Ben's eyes with a cover, turned around with the boy on the spot, and said in a monotone voice, "This kid can't see, he's blind."

Oswald: "..."

Kevin: "..."

Oswald stood up straight and stretched out his hand to pull up Fassbinder, whose center of gravity was not stable. Just when they were about to clarify a few words, the soft mud floor under their feet suddenly shook.
