Chapter 31.1

The people in the ground were unable to distinguish between day and night due to the darkness and insect lights. However, the sky was already bright outside when they were sleeping.

The continuous torrential rain had finally stopped, giving the remaining water a chance to recede.

The Wujin Suspended Palace on the Great Rift Valley God's Road was almost completely washed over, leaving a thick black stain. The water on the eaves had not yet drained, and it dripped into a series of water curtains beside the corridor, creating a quiet atmosphere.

The bronze door at the end of the corridor suddenly creaked open, and two servants led a thin figure hurriedly towards Sinia's room.

"Ann, I've been up for a long time! I've been waiting for you to tell me a story!" Sinia was restless even lying on the bed, and she rolled twice with the quilt in her arms, almost breaking her petrified arm. She whispered to the female officer repeatedly.

The thin figure was Angel, the white rabbit boy brought back by Kevin. Sinia had told people that she did not like to be called by her full name, and so she only called him the first syllable of his name, "Ann," to save time and effort.

When she called him "Ann" for the first time, Angel's ears turned red, and he kept saying, "Don't, don't, that's a girl's name."

Unfortunately, Sinia, who was only four and a half years old, had some of the demeanor of her uncle when he was a child. The next day, she still only called him that, so Angel had no choice but to give in.

Since her arm had been petrified, Sinia could not go out and roll around on the floor. The courtiers obeyed Oswald's orders and watched over her from morning to night to prevent her from stumbling again.

It was a life-threatening thing for such a small child to be unable to go out, especially when Oswald was not around. She had no place to cry, no place to make trouble, and the difficulty of hanging herself was a bit beyond her IQ. She could only lie down obediently and accept her fate.

As a result, Angel had to run to the palace every day. Fortunately, Her Royal Highness Sinia had not developed any other hobbies for the time being except for listening to endless stories, so it was not difficult to serve her.

"I finished the book yesterday," Angel said. "What would you like to listen to today?"

Sinia glanced secretly at the door twice, and saw that the servant was standing respectfully at the door, not intending to come in and catch her. She then hurriedly took a book out from under her pillow.

The sneaky look of the small child was somewhat amusing, but Angel was too embarrassed to smile too obviously, and only pursed the corners of his mouth. He took the book from Sinia's hand and flipped through two pages.

Indeed, the book looked as if it had just been picked up from the trash. Angel turned the pages carefully, and in so doing, accidentally dislodged a few pieces of paper.

Angel: "..."

He held the pages of the book with a slightly panicked expression. "Your Highness, honestly, where did you find this book?" If it was an ancient book, and two pages were missing, he would not be able to afford to replace them even if he sold everything he owned!

Sinia lowered her voice and whispered secretly, "I stole it from my uncle's bookshelf last night."

Angel's hand shook.

Could the emperor's things be taken indiscriminately?

Sinia immediately became confident again. "But my uncle said that I can't take anything in his study except what is on the desk I can look at it casually! Besides, this book was just put there yesterday. Anyway, my uncle isn't here, so it doesn't matter if I use it for a day!"

"Yesterday?" Angel asked.

The matter of Oswald's travels was not to be spread outside, and only those who frequently traveled to and from the Xuan Palace were aware of it. Before he left, he made all the necessary arrangements, so the Priest's Academy, the Medical Official's Academy, and the three major military camps all operated as usual.

When Angel left the Hanging Palace yesterday, he happened to see the old man from the Priest's Academy trembling into the study. If he wasn't mistaken, the old man had probably put the book in the study. After all, he had heard the old man talking about giving the book to the emperor as a reference.

Angel could not stand up to the little girl, so he obediently pulled up a chair and sat down by the bed, and took a cursory glance at the broken book like an ancestor. "Your Highness, are you sure you want to listen to this? What is said in this book is all..."

How to dig the grave of a god...

At least the two pages he had flipped through were all about the period of Emperor Besseman, when a strange disease had spread in the palace.

There were missing pages, but intermittently mentioned many things that had happened in the tomb of the gods. However, the words were extremely exaggerated and distorted, and the tone did not seem to be describing a certain historical fact, but rather like writing a fairy tale.

Who knew if it was true or not?

After reading the book, Angel could not help but turn back to the front and look at the cover.

"What's the matter?" Sinia rolled unwillingly on the bed.

Seeing that Angel had not started for a long time, she could not help but tilt her head and pounce on him. "Why didn't you speak?"

Angel simply closed the cover. "Why doesn't this book even have a name?"

"It doesn't matter! What I listen to is the story, not the name." Sinya waved her small hand. "Tell me!"

"Okay. Then—then let's start with Emperor Besseman leading people into the tomb of God Phae." Angel read the book very quickly, and he knew the content almost by scanning it once. He raised his eyes and asked Sinia, "Do you know the tomb of God Phae?"

The little girl nodded, her black eyes crooked with a smile. "I know! Uncle said that the most powerful god in the old era is sleeping there!"

Angel pursed his lips and smiled, looked down at the pages of the book and said slowly, "The tomb of God Phae is located in the area of Baito Mountain, below the Immortal Waterfall. There is no sunlight and it is dark all year round. It is a good place to sleep forever."

"Why would it be a good place without the sun?" Sinia could not help but interrupt.

"Because there is no light to disturb, he can sleep for a long time without waking up." Angel replied, and continued to speak slowly.
