Chapter 48.2

"I have seen you. Why are you backing away?" Kevin said, two steps from turning the corner of the stone wall. He was afraid that Oswald would turn and run away on impulse, so he bluffed him first.

Oswald seemed to believe him. The enormous figure paused and did not continue to retreat.

Kevin took the opportunity to stride around the stone wall, saying as he went, "Are you afraid that the meat is too thick and I will kill you...?"

The second half of the sentence was swallowed before he could voice it, for Kevin finally saw Oswald's animal form: SIRIUS.

Kevin's eyes widened in surprise. Before him stood a gigantic Sirius, its entire body a pristine white. The fur was fluffy and soft, and the transparent eyes shone with a cold and piercing light.

When the beast gazed down at him from its lofty position, Kevin felt a sense of indifference and ferocity. Its appearance and temperament were very similar to the snow wolves of the Mogao Icefield, but it was even more lonely.

Kevin was speechless for a moment. He had never seen such a beautiful and majestic beast before. He felt as if he had been struck in his aesthetic G-spot. He could only sigh in his heart: "This kid really knows how to change his appearance!"

Kevin's sudden appearance clearly took Oswald by surprise. The giant beastman, who was already a little restless, was now even more agitated by Kevin's silence.

Oswald squinted his eyes and lowered his neck slightly, his back arched in an attacking posture. The muscle lines of his body became more prominent with his movements, appearing smooth and powerful.

Oswald let out two low growls from the bottom of his throat, and then rushed forward. The huge beast leaped up and cast a large shadow over Kevin's head. It seemed that he had truly fallen into the tradition of the first transformation of the giant beastman.

Kevin's pupils shrank suddenly, and he subconsciously reached for the dagger at his waist. However, the moment his finger touched the pattern on the handle, he realized who the attacking beast was. He had to change his mind halfway and abandon the idea of hand-to-hand combat with short knives.

After all, such indecision slowed down his counterattack, leaving him at a disadvantage in the blink of an eye.

The Sirius pounced with great speed, and Kevin did not even have time to move his fingers from the handle of the knife before he felt the huge paws of the monster clamp down on his throat.

Immediately afterwards, the entire body of the Sirius pressed down.

Kevin, who was almost crushed to death, was blinded and felt as if the whole world was collapsing on him. The fluffy white fur of the Sirius took the opportunity to smudge his head and face, and some of it even almost went into his mouth.

When he finally regained his senses from the dizziness, he found that the heroic beast was lying on his body, and the claws on his throat had retracted their sharp blade-like tips, leaving only a soft lump of fur.

Kevin: "..."

He felt as if he had been forced into a giant plush sleeping bag, with only his head barely showing. This was not a bad experience in itself, but what was frightening was that the sleeping bag had been crushed by several boulders by unscrupulous merchants, and he was suffocating to death.

It was an itchy and uncomfortable feeling, and he would rather die than live like this...

This is really severe.

It was extremely unbearable!

His Excellency Kevin Fassbender, who has endured various challenges, has never been afraid of such "discomfort".

Stay strong.

But he is ticklish...

After all, throughout history, there hasn't been anyone who is idle enough and has the audacity to scratch their itch, right?

"Are you conscious?" Kevin asked with difficulty.

He tried to maintain a serious expression, but the unbearable tickling caused his face to distort slightly.

Sirius, firmly perched on his body, awkwardly folded its wings, lowered its head, and stared at him for a long moment with predatory eyes.

Suddenly, it said, "Do you think I would behave like those newly born? Can't control myself after a few years and go crazy?"

Kevin was taken aback. "Can you speak human language like this?"

This question was rather blasphemous, leaving Oswald speechless. He snorted disdainfully, deep in his throat, and said, "It's likely due to my mixed blood."

Now pressed to the ground, Kevin realized that the series of uncontrollable beastly behavior displayed by the person in front of him were all intentional.

Sirius once again lowered its head, with its nose almost touching Kevin's. Oswald's voice resonated lowly from within his chest, reaching Kevin's ears. "What do I look like now?"

Kevin: "..."

"Move your head a little and I'll tell you," Kevin responded with an annoyed glare. "Actually, it would be best if you could move your entire body away."

Oswald didn't obediently listen. His transparent eyes locked onto Kevin's and he said, "No, I can see a faint reflection in your eyes."

"There are plenty of puddles on the ground. If you want to see your reflection, choose a larger one. If you keep staring at me like this, I might just stab you!" Kevin was nearly overwhelmed, his words emerging slowly and with force, but the man on top of him continued to feign ignorance, as if he couldn't comprehend human language.
