Chapter 64.2

Oswald stumbled and fell again, his paws scraping against the ground. He wiped his face with his paw, smearing the dirt across his fur. He looked up at Kevin's white neck, now clear of any blemishes.

The image of Kevin clutching his neck in the cramped cabin flashed through Oswald's mind. Kevin's eyes were closed, and the phoenix totem was flashing before him.

And what about him, kissing the God of Light in that confined space, gnawing on his neck, and pressing him against the wall of the ship?

He closed his eyes and tried to block out the images, but they were too vivid. He would never forget what he had done.

This world has a funny way of seeking revenge on those who killed their father.

Kevin saw Sirius moving his wings out of the corner of his eye and thought he had finally come to life.

So he let go of his mental grip, only to realize that the good-for-nothing was missing something and fell straight into the sea once again.

But then he realized something. Sirius was missing something. His wings were moving, but they were not flapping. They were just dangling there, useless.

In anger, the God of Light lifted Sirius with a huge force and flung him up and down like a rag doll.

Oswald: "..." Great, I even put the God of Light on the flagpole.

Oswald's past was unbearable to look back upon, but he was experiencing it vividly today. Every memory was like a knife plunged into his heart, leaving him feeling like a hedgehog with knives stuck in his chest.

He felt like he was being torn apart. He wanted to scream, but no sound would come out. He wanted to run, but he could not move. He was trapped, with the memories circling around him like vultures.

Kevin rolled his eyes inwardly. He held the silly dog's furry ears in the void, picked him up, and shook him.

He spoke in a low voice, "Are you wearing clothes all over your body? Have you lost all your courage? If you're so desperate, I'll settle the score with you now. After all, destroying everything in sight is just a matter of moving my fingers. I wouldn't mind helping you blow up one more place."

Oswald said nothing.

The familiar formula and taste of Kevin's threat did not change, even if he had become a god.

Kevin's threat was like a poison, seeping into the Emperor's soul and poisoning his mind.

His Majesty the Emperor was drenched with sea water and threatened once again. Finally, he flew back up, expressionless, although his posture remained a little disoriented.

Melo's voice continued as Kevin turned his attention back to him. "I'm honored to see you again after your return to the godhead and departure from the mortal world. I miss the thousands of years spent with you, but unfortunately...there is not much time left for our reunion."

"I've been preparing for this reunion for a long time. Your Highness, do you want to see your old friend again?" Melo asked, with a soft, gentle ending.

Kevin frowned, "Old friend?"

Melo sighed softly, "I knew it, you still think of them. I also...miss them very much."

"I believe you are aware that Feisa's ship will not return, and the exit from Mirror Island remains on the island. Sending these individuals back is not an option at the moment, so why not take the opportunity to reunite with old acquaintances," Melo's voice softened.

As soon as his words finished, the sea floor was covered in dark clouds, and bursts of purple and white lightning struck the water's surface. The waves rose up like mountains, and the wind howled like a banshee.

A massive wave split in two, propelling the wooden boat filled with people forward. The boat was tossed and turned like a leaf in a storm, and the people clung to the sides for dear life.

With a loud bang, the top of the wooden boat crashed into the edge of the icy island.

Crystalline ice seemed to come alive, freezing and coating the bow of the ship with startling speed. The ice spread rapidly, enveloping the entire vessel, including its mast and sails. The boat appeared to have fused with the island, becoming a permanent fixture of the landscape.

Everyone onboard was stunned silence, unable to comprehend what they were witnessing. They had never seen anything like it before. The ice was so clear and pure that it seemed to glow in the sunlight. It was as if the boat had been encased in a frozen dream.

The icy temperature soon jolted them back to reality. They realized that they were stranded on this strange island, with no way to escape. They would have to find a way to survive in this frozen wasteland, or they would surely perish.

Kevin, with a frigid expression and half-closed eyes, flicked Angel's forehead with his hand.

White mist instantly evaporated from Angel's body and dispersed into the surrounding air.

Melo's soothing voice echoed to everyone present on the wind with his gentle smile. "Welcome to the purest place in the world, my dear ones."

As soon as his words faded, the island was enveloped in a silence so profound that it seemed to echo. The birds stopped singing, the wind ceased to blow, and even the waves seemed to hush.

Kevin jumped from the top of the mast, landing with a thud on the ground. He strode towards the crowd, his face expressionless.

Without turning his head, he placed the unconscious Angel behind a tall and sturdy man.

"Take care of him," he instructed. Then, with lowered eyes, he silently uttered a word.

A warm and inviting light enveloped everyone, like the gentle sun of winter.

"Stay close to me," Kevin turned to them, his expression serious. "The exit lies ahead, and once there, focus on escaping. Don't worry about anything else."

He knew the path to the exit from Mirror Island, as Feisa had brought them here many times before. But he also knew that Melo had meticulously planned their arrival and would be waiting for them with his "old friend."

Kevin had no fear, for this was what he desired. It had been dragging on for far too long, and it was time for ultimate reckoning.
