"Alright follow me then" I replied. As the girl slowly followed him he thought (I know I don't have too many emotions but still the first time killing someone should still have an impact on me… Could it be the Roses' negative effect? I don't know if that should be considered convenient or scary.) "Uh Mister?" The girl behind him asked hesitantly. "What is it?" Stewart asked. "Um I forgot to introduce myself earlier, my name Luna, what's your name mister? Luna asked hesitantly. "You can call me Mr.Fair for now" I answer with a smile while thinking (Luna huh just that name makes me want her to be a Apothecary but there are 2 problems with that 1. The primordial moon and 2. I do not want to become enemies with the sanguines, I can't change pathways but I can make her a seer, spectator or some other pathway with a semi-complete formula from the book. All this is only under the condition that she is trustworthy, that still needs to be tested.)
As they were walking down the streets Stewart heard a growling sound behind him "You hungry?" He asked as he looked at the girl who answered slightly embarrassed "Yes… I haven't eaten since yesterday morning." Stewart nodded and walked toward a nearby food stall and bought 2 desi pies and 2 sweet ice tea for exactly 1 soli. As they were eating they walked down the street while Luna told her story. "My family used to be quite wealthy and my parents were happily married but yesterday a bunch of people barged into my house with only me and my mom at home then we saw my dad who was all bloody and was being dragged by the men that's when me and my mom found out he was a member of a gang. After that we were tied up and brought into a cell where they used me to threaten my parents," At this point Luna started crying Stewart just patted her back trying to comfort her. "When my dad regained some strength he made an opening for me and mom to get away but my mom was caught later but she created enough time for me to escape but she was shot" At this point Luna's tears have run dry.
(everything she said makes logical sense which means 1. She is telling the truth and she could be trusted or 2. There is someone from the spectator pathway in the gang or trying to get something from me). Stewart came to these two conclusions after pondering for a while. At this point they have already reached the store, after they entered Luna was surprised to see so many well crafted items on display. "Go upstairs, get yourself washed up and you can sleep in the armchair for now" I ordered. After Luna left Stewart sat down behind the counter in Sherlock Holmes' signature position and started thinking about the pros and cons of helping this girl. (On one hand having an assistant is pretty nice both for running the shop and for battling with other beyonders, but on the other hand I don't know anything about her other than what she has told me and those could all be fake for all I know.)
As he was thinking he took out the revolver that he picked up and inspected it (This is a pistol commonly used by pirates, guess that's not too surprising seeing that this is a port city, pirates probably come here a lot) He thought. He took the other stairs and headed toward the basement where he first transmigrated. In the basement there was a giant furnace and all kinds of tools for melting moulding and colouring. Stewart decided he was going to carry on what the original owner did. (I need a way of making money, and it seems the original owner's memory and muscle memory so making a new decoration shouldn't be a problem right?) I thought (How hard could it be?)
One hour later
(Seems I still lack experience huh) I thought while looking at the blob of colored glass in front of me. (Huh wonder what that girl luna is doing now that I look at the clock I've already been down here for an hour.) Stewart went up the stairs to the second floor and went to the guest room where he saw a little girl curled up on the armchair. He picked up a blanket and threw it on her. (She must be tired from adrenaline built up from running and hiding all day) He thought while slightly smiling. (Oh right I almost forgot what I went outside to do today. I wanted to buy some mystical materials for talismans.) After leaving the house Stewart remembered this isn't Backlund or Tingen so he had no idea of any beyonders, gatherings or market. So he went back inside and downstairs again wanting to try making something else.
One more hour later
This time He finally made something, a simple golden apple but he succeeded. Put the apple where all the glass that has yet to be put on display were stored, then he went upstairs and sat on the chair behind the desk. But what he didn't know was that Luna was sneaking up behind him.
