CHAPTER 6

The beautiful sound of birds chirping and the breeze that blew through the gap in the wooden booth where Lucia lay was able to build it. Slowly, Lucia opened her eyes, she massaged her forehead which was still feeling dizzy.

She glanced around the narrow and shabby room. Her eyes narrowed sharply when she saw that one arm was attached to the handcuffs on the pillar of the house, not to mention the pain in her stomach that experienced a sudden contraction. Lucia held her breath slowly, going in and out to the rhythm of the fake contractions slowly fading away.

She tried to recall what had happened earlier, but strangely she only remembered how far she had fallen asleep in the car with her husband—Ethan. However, where is her husband? Lucia's mind continued to wonder.

"Ethan!" she shouted with the last remaining strength. Lucia kept calling out her husband's name, but the result was still the same.

Finally, Lucia's voice was almost gone, and she was even coughing because the thirst started to attack her. She felt the dryness in her throat, not to mention the current hunger pangs. In her confusion, Lucia sobbed at the thought of something terrible happening to her husband.

The sun was rising higher, and Lucia was getting tired and weak. She reached into the jacket she was wearing, hoping that Maria wouldn't forget to put a snack in her pocket.

Luckily, Lucia found some Energy Bars there, she immediately ate the snacks to increase her already low blood sugar for the fetus's survival in her womb.

"Hold on, honey ..." she whispered.

Rubbing her bulging belly, the fetus immediately moved slowly as if to erase Lucia's nervousness. The woman sobbed again, she was still confused about what had happened to her. Where's Ethan? How did she get here? Who did all this?

A few questions kept dancing in her mind, but sadly no one answered except time.

It was getting late, one by one the food she had was gone. She reached into another pocket again, hoping there was something else she could eat. However, suddenly her hand caught something, her eyes stared in disbelief when she saw the ring that the older woman had given her that afternoon. It has been thrown away.

"Th-this!" she screamed.

She threw the object back, but strangely, it was attached to her ring finger. Lucia trembled in fear, she tried to open the ring but it stuck even tighter.

Finally, she stopped the effort when she heard the sound of approaching footsteps. Getting out of here right away was much more important—she thought.

"Help!" Lucia screamed for help with all her might, her heart feeling relieved as the sound of the footsteps drew closer to her. As if the Almighty had answered her prayer, Lucia squealed with joy when she saw who had come and opened the door for her.

Ethan stood proudly beside her. Rose was also staring expressionlessly at her. "Ethan... Rose! Finally... help me, someone is trying to hurt me."

Her hopes were dashed when Ethan just stood there, laughing at her. "Gosh, this idiot is still so naive," he sneered.

"H-honey, w-what do you mean?" Lucia trembled, her hopes had collapsed especially when Rose—her best friend also just chuckled while looking at her with a condescending look.

"Gosh, Lucia... you can still think naively in a situation like this and then pretend you don't know and ask what we mean?"

Not knowing, Lucia was trying to deny it. From the start she received a surprise, to be honest her little heart was suspicious, only because the love that blinded her made Lucia deny it with all her might.

"Why would you do this to me?! Rose, you're my best friend... then you, Ethan... why?" softly.

Rose approached the limp body, then kicked Lucia in the stomach. Suddenly, the woman winced in pain holding incomparable pain.

"I hate being a supporting character, I want to be the main character. I have a handsome husband who is also rich. Besides, Ethan doesn't love you anymore, you idiot!"

Lucia groaned in pain, blood was pouring from her birth canal, moreover, the baby continued to struggle and cause waves of significant contractions. However, that didn't make Ethan and Rose's hearts move, the cruel man kicked Lucia's stomach instead, kicking her flesh and blood.

As if watching something interesting, Ethan and Rose instead sat in the doorway watching how tormented Lucia endured the waves of significant contractions. Meanwhile, they were showing their affection right before Lucia, who was almost dying.

"D-damn! You barbarians!" Lucia's eyes reddened, and her chest rumbled when she saw the two savage humans were even more engrossed in making out in front of her.

Seeing that Lucia could still control herself, Rose got up again and kicked Lucia's stomach and body. As the woman groaned in pain, Rose returned to her naked lover and waited to be satisfied.

Lucia was getting weaker, blood was pouring from her birth canal. The body and the heart and feelings are also numb, especially when suddenly the fetal movement weakens and finally stops moving. She was crying, she couldn't hold it anymore.

At the threshold of her consciousness, she saw the two humans struggling in front of her near-dying corpse. She hated that her ears could still hear their sighs and moans.

Finally, she heard the sound of their footsteps approaching, then suddenly something stabbed right in her heart. "Hey!" she shouted with the last remaining strength.

Lucia felt something pull out until she finally saw what she had thought impossible. Maybe this is what is called the spirit—the mind. She saw how the condition of her own body was so pathetic with blood-covered everywhere. At the same time, the two humans are now busy pouring something and then throwing a lit wooden match. Instantly, the fire grabbed and scorched the building.

Lucia wept when she saw the flames almost touching her body, but there was nothing she could do but cry by her side.

Finally, a flash of bright light behind the fire opened wide. At first he thought it might be time for her to leave, but how surprised she was when she saw a familiar older woman.

"Y-you! That mistress... ah who are you?!"

The woman smiled broadly, then approached Lucia's spirit. "Isn't there something much more important than that?"

"W-what?"

"Are you going to let this injustice go unpunished?"

Lucia shook her head quickly. "No! Of course not. But, what should I do."

"Because of your kindness, I'll give you one more chance."

The woman drew closer, then her palms covered Lucia's eyes. She whispered something that sounded like magic, then suddenly Lucia felt something suck her into a vacuum that was like a current.

"Aaaahhh!"

Lucia forced her eyes open, but there was something strange there.

"W-where am I?!" she screamed.

When looking around. She was sleeping on the bed, it was her bed, she knew very well about it. However, strangely enough it wasn't the bed she and Ethan were using in her and Ethan's room.

Lucia ran outside, trying to figure out what was really going on. However, her steps stopped when she passed a mirror. She gaped in disbelief, looking at her own reflection.

"A-actually, what happened?!"
