CHAPTER 48

Sam couldn't take his eyes off the ring, worried that he might have misunderstood it.  In front of him, Lucia was still engrossed in her drink, she didn't care that she was so drunk that she almost lost consciousness of it.

"That bastard… killed my son," she whispered, "That damn bastard, killed my son."

Since then, she'd been babbling like that, while Sam just let her go and accompanied her to drink.  He was sure that what Lucia was talking about right now was the memory of her previous life. It made her even more curious about the memory that Lucia remembered.

When he realized he was reincarnated, he sometimes felt strange and felt empty.  There was no one he could talk to to complain about what was going on.  That's why he often shut himself in and finally adapted well after struggling so hard.
