I was surprised when I saw my hand on Jada’s boob when I woke up. I removed it myself then glanced at her before getting out of bed.
She was sleeping peacefully and I don't want to wake her up. I’m fine with last night’s torture as long as I wake up with her lying next to me, it just feels good.
I went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast before brushing my teeth and washing my face. I put on my shirt and wore a pajama, then I sat on the chair by the foot of the bed.
I tried to move without making any noise as much as possible. I really don’t want to bother her sleep. I'll wait for her to wake up.
I’ve been sitting on the chair for about ten minutes when I heard a phone ringing. It was Jada’s phone, sitting on top of the side table.
She suddenly woke up as she hears it and quickly turned to the other side to grab the phone and answer the call. I’m not sure who she was talking to, but it doesn’t sound like it’s business.
"Hmm?... Yeah, I just woke up... Today? I'll try... Not sure where I am at the moment... Okay... Bye!"
That was all I heard from their conversation and I can't help but feel curious. I don’t have the guts to ask though, so I just let go of it.
Looking around for a few seconds, she stood up from the bed and smiled at me sweetly, as she saw me sitting on the chair. "Good morning," she greeted while stretching her arms out.
She was suddenly surprised when she realized that she was not wearing any shirt. She only has her bra on.
"Woah! Did something happen between us last night?" she asked in a panic. I was about to reply but she suddenly stood up straight, place her hand on her island, and starts feeling it. "Hmm. I'm not sore so I guess we didn’t do it," she blurted out while sighing in relief.
I was surprised to see what she did. ‘That was it? She woke up in another man’s bed and she’s fine as long as she wasn’t sore? Really Jadanela?’
She stood up, picked up her blouse, tied her hair in a bun then asked where the bathroom is. As far as I can remember she knows where exactly my bathroom is.
‘Why is she like this? she’s acting like an alien!’
When she came out of the bathroom, she took her phone and texted then she picked up her bag and walked straight to the door. She didn’t even bid me farewell.
"Wait, you’re leaving already?" I asked, almost running to close the distance between us.
She furrowed her brows as if confused as to why I was asking, “Yeah, are we doing anything?” she asked.
I was taken aback and wasn’t able to react right away. Then her face suddenly brightened as if she remembered something.
"Ah yeah, thank you for letting me sleepover," then she planted a kiss on my cheek before turning around to leave.
I was left dumbfounded. ‘What just happened? I'll bet our company she was sober when she did that to me last night. But why does it seem like nothing actually happened when I almost lose it wishing she can do it again to me?’
No matter what I do, I can’t comprehend. I can’t understand what exactly is going on with her. It’s like I don’t know her, at all.
I don’t know where the Jada, the love of my life, went to. The woman who just left is definitely not her.
That was a different person, a total stranger. I suddenly felt scared. Scared to know that this is how she’s been living her life. This is how she lived her life while in New York.
I walked towards the couched and plopped on it. If that is the case, then I don’t think I can accept it. I just can’t.

I was all smiles when I stepped out of his unit. Recalling his face last night, especially when I stopped giving him a head just when he was about to cum, can definitely give me a good laugh.
I already reached the parking lot when I realized I didn't bring my car with me. So I head out to the street to hail a cab.
I went straight home, not far from Lyken’s place, so I made it there in as short as twenty minutes. When I got there, I didn’t even have to unlock it. There are people inside and I wasn’t even surprised.
I know, because for sure, our friends weren’t able to sleep thinking about how I and Lyken are doing the whole night. Most especially my pink friends. I bet they're dying to hear the juicy detail.
Though I was already expecting them to be there, I was still surprised when I saw Kobe, Steve, and Robin too. All six of them are having coffee in my living room and they're all in their pajamas.
Well, not literally, but if you'll look at it, whoever hosted a pajama party will feel embarrassed. They all look like they were fresh from the bed.
"Good morning buddies!" smiling as I greet all of them.
Ada immediately approached me and pulled me toward the couch. "So what happened?" he asked right away, as soon as my butt came in contact with the couch.
"What happened where?" I asked innocently.
"Byotch! Don’t keep us hanging or I’ll pour this coffee over you!” Ada warned, his nostrils flaring as he held back his emotion. I just smiled sheepishly before leaning back.
"Come on Ja what happened?" Steve pried, I furrowed my brows at him, wondering when he became a gossipmonger.
"I spent the night at Lyken’s place," then I grinned.
They let out a sigh in unison, showing discontent after hearing what I said.
"And?" Ada asked again, obviously wanting more.
"What do you mean and? What do you guys expect? That we’ll be playing hide and seek the entire night? We went to his bedroom and I gave him a head! But… we weren’t able to finish because my head suddenly ached, so I stopped. Then we went to bed."
Kobe looked like he was almost ready to throw his mug at me. He would have done it if I didn’t turn to face him.
Honey’s eyes narrowed at me, while Robin and Steve shook their head. Of course, the pinks have the most exaggerated reaction. They can’t be beaten at that.
“You byotch! That would hurt! You’re a sadist!” Bambi exclaimed as he sit next to me.
I was about to stand up to go to my bedroom but Bambi pulled me down again to sit between him and Honey. There’s nothing I can do so I chose not to refuse.
"Jada, can you please be honest with me?" Honey asked in a serious tone.
"Of course, you're my BFF," I responded to her truthfully.
"With what you're doing, with how much you've changed in a span of what, three years? Two and a half? Has Lyken done something to you that resulted in these?" her expression remained serious.
I looked up, pretending to be pondering on her question. But in reality, the answer to that question is off-limits. As I said, I'd rather keep what I’ve seen to myself.
"As far as I can remember, no, he didn’t do anything. All I know is that I got scared of that party. I can’t help but think that every time he goes out and parties hard, he ends up doing something stupid. When I saw that it was already 10:30 in the evening and you haven’t texted me yet that he already left, I got really anxious. Usually, when he parties past 10 PM, that means he lost track of time. That means he's drunk and he's lost control of himself. I got scared that the next day, one of you will tell me that he did something again so I decided to just leave. Because I realized that I won’t be able to accept another bad news about him after the first three," I explained lengthily and full of lies.
All six of them let out a heavy sigh. They all looked like they were relieved of something after I explained things to them.
I was thankful that they bought the lie I sold. But I felt sorry for Honey. It's unfair to not trust her, especially when it comes to this.
Then again, I know that whatever I will tell her, Kobe will find out about it. For sure, Kobe will ask, and I'm not yet ready to answer anyone’s questions.
"So, you guys okay? Can I breathe normally again?” I jest, looking at each one of them.
"You know what Ja? I like the changes I see in you. You became friendlier, less shy and your personality became bubblier. I like all that except you've gone wild," Robin commented as he shakes his head after saying the last part.
"Wow, Rob! Judgmental? Wild? Like a pig? Wild boar?!" I asked and laughed as I find myself too corny, but they all smiled as well.
"Nevermind!" he spat before throwing a pillow at me.
After that, they started talking between themselves. Something not related to either me or Lyken and I felt relieved.
I laid down on the couch, resting my head on Ada’s lap. I was in that position when my phone rang and Bambi handed it over to me.
I checked on the caller's ID, quickly stood up, and walked towards the kitchen when I saw who was calling. I was standing not far from them so I’m sure they’ll hear me.
"Hello, Mama Vane?" She’s the freelance talent scout who looks for models that will participate in an event.
After answering the call, I even heard someone sigh, disappointed. Whoever that was, he or she is probably expecting it was Lyken.
I looked at Honey, furrowing my brows with a thumbs up but she responded with a thumbs down. I got the message and I passed it onto the person on the other line.
After the call, I went back to the couch, sitting next to Ada with my feet up. I started checking my inbox for any important messages that I might have missed, fortunately, there’s none.
“You got a gig byotch?” Ada asked as I plopped down the couch. I nodded at him before turning my attention to the TV.
“Where will it be held?” Bambi asked after coming out of the bathroom.
“Europe,” I answered. In my peripheral view, I saw Steve and Robin look at each other.
“When are you leaving?” Honey followed up.
“In two weeks. I’m leaving on a Friday,” but that’s not true.
I deliberately gave them the wrong information regarding my departure because I felt like there was something about their questions. It smells fishy.
Whatever it is they’re planning, I can’t let it happen so they can’t know the actual details of my departure. I can’t fall into their trap.
They all nodded slowly after hearing what I said and that confirmed my hunch that they are indeed planning something. Good thing I’m quick at sensing that.
“By the way Honey, why aren’t you coming?” I asked as I suddenly remembered her response earlier. Kobe reached out for her hand and they both shook their heads at me. “Why?” I repeated when they didn’t give any explanation.
They looked at each other then Honey placed a hand over her stomach. My eyes widened in surprise. “Seriously?” screaming as I stood up.
They both suddenly laughed. Knowing it was a prank, I rolled my eyes at them, smirked then plopped down the couch.
"Dream on, you two" I snapped at them.
"I don’t want her to do modeling anymore,” Kobe pouted. “Our company’s stable now, so I guess it’s okay if she stops working. Besides, I want her for my eyes only," he finished, kissing the back of Honey’s hand.
"Ahhhh. How sweet..." I teased.
To be honest, I’m happy for them, especially for my best friend. I know how much she loves Kobe. That’s why out of all her relationships, Kobe lasted the longest.
And it’s the same for Kobe, of course. Throughout the years, he’s shown love and care for my sister-from-another-mother.
"What about you? When are you reconciling with Lyken?" Robin piped in, leaning closer to me.
I pushed his face away with my hand, “Next question please,” I responded, smirking at my friend.
They all laughed and I did too. But in my head, I was already strangling the person next to me.
