Lyka

Lyka is arranging the books on the shelf. This book is what they use as a reference each year whenever they are planning a Schedule of Events. It is her second year as a secretary of the Student Government Organization while Stan it is his first year in being the President. She is quietly doing this while waiting for Luke and Stan who is in the Chairman's Office. Luke is Stan's Vice-President. When done, she starts keeping her things and Stan's. She heard a knock on the door. She opened it and saw Blake there.

"What?" she asked. "Stan and Luke are still in a meeting," she added

"It's alright. I am in a hurry too." Blake said "I just drop by to give you this." added and gave her the room key.

She immediately took it and placed it in her ID.

"I'll go ahead." Blake said, she just nodded "See you later. Bye." the last thing she said and went on her way to the Theater.

She went back to the table and stayed there to wait for Stan and Luke. Lyka is a simple ordinary girl. Unlike Blake, she doesn't have an interest in make-up or any girly stuff like ponytails or clips. She stands 5 feet and is the youngest. People regard her as a Lesbian because of the way she moves and acts, which is apparently an influence by Tammi and Tommy. She grew up playing with them since they are close neighbors. She adapted the way these boys acted. Not to mention the boys' Dad is her God-Father which makes their home her second home. She is comfortable in Tammi and Stan's company. And the two boys look after her at all times and they always make sure to bring her home safely every day. Stan or Tammi will walk her home every day after school.

The door opened at the Chairman's Office and the two boys went out of the room. They noticed the girl sleeping on the table. She is very cute when she sleeps. Luke smiled,

"Your girlfriend is tired," he said, He sneered at him

"Shut up." he said and go to Lyka to wake her up, he tapped her shoulder "Lyka," he whispered. The girl wakes up and looks at them

"You're done?" she asked, and the two nodded "Okay" she added and she immediately stand up grab her bag. Stan took her Laptop bag. Luke shakes his head

"You know what, if you two were not friends I would think you two are lovers," he said

"You're full of malice." as per Stan and they walked together out of the building. They are looking at Lyka who is stretching and yawning like she is really sleepy. They smiled.

"Let's grab a coffee." Stan said "While waiting for Blake and Tammi." he added

"Tammi will be late, it's the start of their training." she said not looking at him "Blake is in a meeting with the club so she will be late too," she added

"I see. So should we go home?" he asked, she nodded

"Yeah. I feel so sleepy," she said and looked back at him, their eyes met. He is always amazed by her beauty. With just one look, she can make his heartbeat. He nodded

"Alright." he said "Are you coming with us Luke?" he asked Luke who is beside him. The boy looked at him.

"No, you go first. I will wait for Sasha." the boy answered, he smiled ad looked at him with taunting eyes. "Yes. " Don't ask anymore, " the boy said with a blushing face.

"You update me, okay?" he said while doing a fist-bomb and trying to taunt the guy but Luke just answered with a smile. He then go and walked with Lyka.

Since Tammi is not around. He will walk her home. On the way, they talked about the closed-door meeting that they had with the Chairman. He left his bag inside the gate and it was picked up by Yaya Tising. He walked her home, and on the way, he noticed that Lyka looks so tired and sleepy.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm just a little tired," she answered, he looked at her she doesn't look okay.

"Then I suggest you not attend the meeting tomorrow since you already know the topic." he offered to her

"Are you sure? What if there is something that needs to take note of?" she asked

"Luke will do it in the meantime and then we'll talk about it when I go home," he said, she nodded

"Okay. I'll go home early tomorrow so I can rest early," she said

"Do you drink vitamins?" he asked again, she shakes her head

"No," she answered

"I have a lot at home. I will bring some tomorrow for you," he said, she looked at him

"So I can be strong as you? Sure." She said smiling at him

"Strong? Really?" he said trying not to be a bit sarcastic

"Do these vitamins of yours can make you handsome?" she asked again

"What?" he asked confusingly, she laughed and turns to him

"Because they said you are such a godly handsome boy. And they always asked me what is Stan's secret in having that handsome face? And I always answer how will I know ha ha ha" she said and laughed again and looked at him "So I assume if I drink your vitamins I should be pretty too, right?" she added, he shakes his head

"You're crazy." he said "But you know, you are already beautiful even without vitamins." he added and looked at her "You just need to act like a girl and you know maybe make yourself look like a girl." he added and put his arm on her shoulder "You always move and act like a guy and that confuses me sometimes," he said.

She smiled hearing what Stan said. She always receives this kind of observation but hearing it in Stan's mouth she felt different.

"It's just, I don't know how to do that." she said and smiled at him "So you need to bear with me," she said

"I can do that. But if you want a boyfriend or a partner on JS Prom you need to work it out and start now," he said, she stopped

"We are included?" she asked, Stan, smiled

"Of course we're junior," he answered

"Then I think I shouldn't join," she said

"Why?" he asked

"Well, first, I don't have a dress for that kind of occasion. Second, I don't dance. And third, I don't think Tatay will allow me." she said. He felt sad and shakes his head

"Don't worry, we will help you. And JS Prom will happen in February so we have ample time to talk to Amang," he assured her.

She smiled and pictured herself wearing a gown that she never tried before. She looked at him with a distressed look.

"What?" he asked.

She just shook her head. He stopped and looked at her. He held her face and

"You are beautiful Lyka." he said "Whatever you wear that day will look perfect on you. I presume you will be much prettier than Blake." he added "So don't think too much. We are here for you," he said, she nodded and smiled. He held her hand and started to walk again.

She stares at Stan who held her hand while he is walking her home. Her heart is thumping so hard. This is the first time that she felt this way toward Stan. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. BUT I LIKE IT she told to herself.

When they reached her house, she invited Stan inside but he refuses as it is getting darker already and he needs to walk back home. Her father saw him and invited him in for a snack but he again politely refused so her mom gave him Turon instead. (Turon is fried sweet crispy banana rolls). He said thanks and bid farewell. From the distance, he saw Blake go down from the tricycle. She waved at him.

"Lyka's home?" she asked shouting, he thumbs up to answer her. The girl nodded and went inside. When he arrived home he immediately went upstairs to take a bath.

Lyka sits on her bed thinking about everything Stan said. She stand up and looked in the mirror. She took their picture on the table and compare herself to Blake. She posed just like her. Fixed her hair and smiled just like her. HMMM LYKA YOU NEED TO WORK HARD she said and stared at Blake's photo YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL she said admiring her friend's beautiful face. BLINK! A sudden notification in her phone, she smiled when she saw Blake's name on the screen.

"Hi pretty." Blakes message

"Hello, beauty. You're home?" she replied

"Just got home. I saw Stan coming home. He sent you?" Blake replied

"Yup, since Tammi is not around," she replied

"For sure, he will be tired every day," Blake replied

"As long as he is happy, I'm for it," she replied

"By the way, do you think Tammi will agree to represent our section for this coming Nutrition Month?" Blake replied

"I doubt. Tammi never liked joining those contests," she replied

"I know. It's just, last year it was me and Stan who represents the class. We need a new face for this year." Blake replied

"Tammi will not join, I guarantee that," she replied

"Why?" Blake replied

"Have you seen a monkey join a beauty contest?" she asked jokingly

"Bully! Ha ha ha but seriously can you help me convince Tammi, please" Blake pleaded

"Fine, I'll help you." she agreed finally. "And I will bring bananas during the event ha ha ha," she said while laughing

"You're crazy, don't you ever do that ha ha ha ha" Blake responded.

She can't stop laughing and that is when she hears her mother call her for dinner

"Talk to you later, my Mom is calling me for dinner." she texted

"Okay eat well," Blake replied. She placed her phone on the table and went to the dining room.
