Another thing was, what was he really evolving into? This question had been on his mind ever since that day the academy interrogated him and asked if he was a vampire or noy yet the reply he gave them seemed to have satisfied them enough to let him go, the academy he knew wouldn't have allowed him to leave that easily.

So what did he answer? Was he truly a vampire or something else entirely? At first, he assumed he was, after all, he could drink human blood and even use blood related abilities and skills.

But then if he wasn't a vampire, why could he drink human blood or use blood related ability or skill? Then he remembered the notifications he got just after his evolution that he was a halfling, this meant he was no longer a human or assuming a vampire.
