[Kill Module Unlocked]

Meng Tian was perplexed by these red windows and his expression grew solemn. A formless blood red shadow appeared in his consciousness space and looked at his Soul with its cold and brutal eyes. The red pupils looked like they could swallow him at once, but at this moment, his white soul trembled a little and a holy light came out of it, to surround the shadow.

It could not resist at all and was completely locked in by the white light. Meng Tian's Soul then beckoned the caged shadow, opened its mouth and swallowed it whole in one gulp. There was no resistance at all from the red shadow. Once his Soul swallowed it, Meng Tian's pupils turned blood red for a moment before going back to normal.

Another red window popped up showing the emergence of a new skill.

"Is this going to be a new skill... I wonder what it does? Kill Module... Kill Points... Fuck it, I have no information about any of them. I will have to check them out later..."

Although it felt like a lot of time had passed, it had only been a couple of seconds after the knife was lodged into the dead man's throat. Meng Tian stored the dead body and the car into his consciousness space and checked to see if there was anything left on the road.

Once he was sure that there were no clues that could lead back to him, he simply walked back into the forest. The two Martial Apprentices never left the range of his spiritual sense. They were searching foe Meng Tian inside the woods, and had no idea that their young master was already dead... And Death was slowly creeping up on them.

The two men dressed completely in black were very cautious and looked a lot more experienced that their young master. They made sure to keep a close eye on the surroundings while searching for their target. Even after about fifteen minutes of searching, they could not find any tracks of their target. So, they decided to go back to the car and inform their young master.

But just as they turned around, they saw a man completely covered in black just like them. Only his deep blue eyes were visible from the outside. He was staring at them very keenly and they were instantly mesmerized. The two men could not take their eyes away from him. Meng Tian walked up and knocked out one of them.

He then asked in a deep voice, "Who are you? Why are you targeting the boy? I will ask the same questions to the other guy as well. If I see any discrepancies, you will have no need to breathe again."

This man was already entranced by the Perfect level Eye of Charm skill and had no way to get out of its effects. He was completely obedient to Meng Tian's commands. But Meng Tian did not want to take any chances, hence the cautious approach.

"I am Number Two, Vice-Captain of the forty-seventh squad of the Green Devil Cult. Two days ago, there was a planned kidnap attempt of a kid from the park near Xianchu High School. Our squad was assigned to complete the job and after a week full of preparations, we were ready to move."

"But that day, because of the student named Meng Tian, our plan had to be postponed. Our Captain got pissed by the sudden turn of events but he ignored the slight change in plans. However, the son of one of the higher ups was with the captain when this information was relayed."

"Young Master Diao ordered the squad captain to just kill the high school boy. And after scouting for two days, we did not find any information that could suggest he had any kind of backing. So, we made a move today to kill him. A normal high school boy going missing should not be a big deal at all."

Meng Tian's eyes flashed with rage as this incident was just because of the whims of some random young master. He felt that it was a good thing that he killed that guy first. And regarding the kid that was supposed to be kidnapped, he was not bothered at all.

But suddenly, he remembered the words of his Master, "...protect humanity from the calamities they face, even in the face of death."

"Sigh... What business does your young master have in this city? Who is his father and what is the level of his cultivation? And who is the kid that you wanted to kidnap?"

"I don't exactly know why Young Master Diao came to Xianchu City. But I did overhear him speaking to the squad captain about some kind of a plan involving the kidnapped child. Young Master Diao's father is a high level official of the Green Devil Cult. I have heard that he is probably already a Martial General."

"We have already kidnapped the little girl this evening and sent her over to our city headquarters nearby. She is apparently the daughter of some high-level official of the country. The little girl named Lin Baozhai, lives with her mother and the security around her is pretty much non-existent. She might be born out of wed-lock or something."

Meng Tian stood there silently for a few seconds and asked, "Tell me the route to your headquarters where the the little girl is kept. And, what are the power levels of the people stationed there?"

He wanted to stay true to the words left by his Master... Although, he would probably surpass his Master in a short amount of time, that did not mean he would neglect the teachings. After listening to the information about the enemy headquarters, Meng Tian knocked this guy out and woke up the other one to repeat the process.

However, since the second guy was the so called 'captain' of his squad, he had more information. Turns out that even Young Master Diao did not have a clue about why they had to kidnap this little girl. He was just there to oversee the job on his father's commands.

When he was finished with getting the information from them, Meng Tian did not even blink before plunging two knives into their throats.

Meng Tian was about to put the two dead bodies into his consciousness space, but he suddenly saw a black storage ring on one of the captain's fingers. He was ecstatic to find such a thing and immediately took it off of the dead body. For the sake of safety, he did not try to bind it.

He then checked the other two dead bodies and found one more storage ring with the dead young master. He put everything inside the consciousness space and slowly started to fly. He even activated his perfect level Breath Concealment skill just in case.

"My consciousness space is completely isolated from the outside world. Not even my Master could detect it. So, it should be safe if I open up the storage rings inside there."

He was flying a little slowly but he would reach their covert headquarters deep in the mountain area in about ten minutes. During this fly time, his Soul was not idle as it took two drops of Meng Tian's blood into the consciousness space and used it to bind the two rings which was quite easy.

There were actually no surprises at all... No traps... nothing with respect to binding the rings. He looked inside the two rings and found quite a lot of things inside. Inside the young master's ring, there were a number of spare clothes that looked like uniforms, hundreds of colorless crystal like objects, couple of medicine bottles, and a skill book.

Inside the squad captain's ring, there were similar items but in smaller amounts... However, there was an old parchment with strange runic markings on it. Meng Tian was already a level 4 Rune Master but still could not figure out the meaning of those runes. Hence, he concluded that this parchment should be quite an old one with some kind of secret techniques or the like.

Meng Tian had many doubts regarding such things as the parchment should be very ancient due to how much tattered it was. But humanity only started cultivation a couple of decades ago. He did not dwell deep into the issue though, as he himself was not from this world...
