Target Practice...

Meng Tian (the second blood carnage clone) was exploring the deep forests on land... and fortunately after so many days, he had his first encounter with a beast above the body forging realm. A Qi Condensation level beast was lying on its side on the top of a rock... it was a green snake which seemed to have just finished its hunt for the night and was just laying there digesting its food. However, never would it have imagined that a ruthless hunter was gazing at it with burning eyes looking as if it was a rare delicacy.

It was true that Meng Tian had not been able to find any beasts that had entered the qi condensation realm in all the time that he had spent in the forest area. So, when he caught sight of one, his inner self giggled like a little school boy out to taste his favorite ice-cream on a school day. As he was thinking about how to kill the green snake, he thought of trying out his elemental attacks... although he had no skills that were actually available in his skills column, he could still perform a fireball without sweating it. It's just that it would not be an efficient 'spell'...

So, he imagined an arrow in his mind and an fire arrow silently formed in his palm, gradually growing in size. It looked like it could lose its stability at any moment, however Meng Tian kept his full concentration on this flame arrow which attained stability after a certain amount of time. Once he did that, Meng Tian had no hesitation in unleashing the flame arrow towards the green snake,, however the attack did not go as expected.

As the flame arrow neared the snake, its momentum was too much and by the time it reached the target, it lost its structure and just blew up in front of it. Thankfully, the attack burst right in the face of the snake and the head blasted into smithereens. The snake was dead alright but its core was blasted off as well. It was not an ideal outcome that he might have anticipated. Nonetheless, Meng Tian was quite glad upon looking at his first kill using an elemental attack.

Only now did Meng Tian truly understand the power of his elemental attacks. It was unfortunate that there were no skills that he could obtain yet... so as to maximize his five elemental talents. As he was moving deeper into the forest area, of which he had no clue where he was going at all... he just kept moving in a singular direction without giving it much thought.

To be honest, all he wanted to find was how the hell did the humans come up with such intricate cultivation techniques and battle skills within such a short period of time. It was quite clear from the historical information that he got from reading about this world that the advent of cultivation phenomenon was the result of the spatial cracks formed due to the scientific investigations carried out a couple of decades back. So, it was safe to assume that there had to be other secrets he was unaware of. Now that he had a chance to explore and find out more by himself, because his clones were expensive and painful to make but strictly speaking are quite disposable... he sent a clone specifically for this job.

Hunting the beasts and collecting their cores, improving his combat techniques, collecting valuable herbs, and so on were just side tasks... while the main goal still remained... to find the real stuff that could broaden his horizons in this world. Honestly, with his increasing cultivation every passing day, it would not be long before he surpassed most of the elite families, sects in this world. So, what he wanted next was exploration and adventure... even though he hadn't found anything in the forests, doesn't mean he would never... so, he just kept moving forward.

To his surprise, this was the day where he could finally see some action. His spiritual sense was much stronger than anyone in his cultivation realm... as he was moving in the forest, he heard a lot of chatter about some things that made his blood burn with excitement. He never thought that there could be humans this deep in the forest area. But what he was most excited about was that the people he encountered, or more accurately listened to, were his enemies...

Lo and Behold it was the Green Devil Cult... a team of 10 Martial Warriors leading 25 Martial Soldiers had set up a camp in this region. And their goal was to ambush the district training camp which was about a week of travel from this location. Meng Tian did not understand why this cult was trying to attack the camp... this camp was just one of the nine hundred camps that are organized every year and ambushing it would not make much of an impact on the overall status of the country's strength.

However, Meng Tian imagined a scenario where all the nine hundred camps are attacked simultaneously... it would be a disaster, but he quickly discarded that idea as this so-called cult should not have such man-power to attack all of the camps at once with such force. If they did have such strength, the entire country would have long since fallen into a state of anarchy and annihilation. But Meng Tian was not one to disregard such things as one could never be sure of what might happen in such cases. Furthermore he did not have enough, or safe to say, any information on the dark forces targeting the current cultivation world.

Hence, the first step would be reconnaissance, in other words collecting information... although he did listen in on them some time before stating their intentions on attacking the district training camp in a couple of days, he was not entirely sure about their exact plan of action. So, he immediately used his perfect level Eye of the Devil skill to bewilder the minds of the martial soldiers closest to his location. The fragile minds of his enemies, who had no experience in dealing with spiritual attacks or skills, had no choice but to succumb to Meng Tian's devil eyes.

He counted a total of 35 targets and most of them were quietly sleeping in their tents... nobody could have imagined someone to ambush them during their operation which was supposed to start a week later and this far from the target location. So, there were only a couple of people gradually moving around the perimeter keeping an eye out for any threats nearby. Even then, there was no one that could stop Meng Tian in this entire bunch.

"Hey Brother, I need to take a leak. Be back in five." A Martial Soldier near the perimeter of the enemy camp said to his colleague guarding nearby.

"Sure man... Just don't take too much time. Otherwise, I would suspect you to be shagging there.. Hahaha..."

"Tsk... How vulgar.. F*ck off"

As he walked a couple of minutes into the forest, he suddenly stopped and took off his pants. He did not take off his underwear though... right afterwards, one could observe his crazy gaze filled with worship as he looked towards a tree a couple of meters away from him. A slow but serious voice sounded in his ears asking him about various information about their attack plans. Although Meng Tian did not get much information from him, he did get a gist of it. The earlier pants-off scenario was for any one of the Martial Warriors observing this area with their spiritual senses. No one would interest themselves in such a scene anyway.

Once he was done with his interrogation, the target as usual had no clue what had happened and returned to his post after a few minutes. Meng Tian however did not stop his movements as he slowly made his way into the deepest area of the enemy camp-site only to find a huge tent at the center. It was occupied by a Martial Warrior at the peak Foundation Establishment realm who was quietly taking a nap... and Meng Tian gradually used his powerful spiritual sense to create an illusion in his mind. It was like a dream where the target completely opened up his mind for Meng Tian to have a virtual walk through of sorts... He could peak at all the secrets of this guy who was thinking that he was talking to his superiors or someone at that level.

Meng Tian was done interrogating the leader of the enemy camp... although it was quite a special experience for him as well. His usage of this skill improved a lot... making the target think that he was in a dream was quite a new scenario for him. Anyway, he came out of the camp and started thinking about his next steps.

His clone's spiritual sense was powerful enough to control all of these targets... but he had other plans lingering in his mind. He also wanted to further test his elemental attacks... so he slowly flew up in the air and onto the top of their camp... his body already completely blended into the surrounding qi making it impossible for anyone below his cultivation level to even sense anything wrong about their surroundings, much less his whereabouts.

Meng Tian did not hesitate and flew up higher into the atmosphere, totally out of the scope of any spiritual sense in the enemy camp. Once he felt that he had reached a substantial height, he gradually started accumulating a lot of spiritual qi around his body. The runic scriptures on his chest started glowing a brilliant purple as the qi came rushing towards him... transforming into multiple attacks... including spears, arrows, bullets, knives, swords, balls, of all the five elements... fire, metal, water, wood, earth... it took a couple of minutes to actually form all these around his body.

If one was right up in the air watching Meng Tian perform this ungodly feat, they would witness a densely packed elemental storm gradually forming in the sky at the center of which were close to a hundred attacks of devastating magnitude... because Meng Tian was not controlling his attacks at all, unleashing his complete strength at once. When he felt satisfied with the dozens of dreadful arrows and such surrounding him, Meng Tian gave a wicked smile and sent all of these attacks down at once.
