"Can I have a whiskey on the rocks?" I asked the man behind the bar. "Would you like a lemon with that?" questioned the bartender. "Sure, thank you," I agreed.

The room was starting to get filled with the sweetest melody.

When I turned around, I could see that Dean was holding Christal on the dancefloor. He held her close to his chest and their fingers were intertwined. Everything in me ached.

I watched them until the song was over. Every now and then our glances met, and it felt like the air was electric.

It was time to go into the dining hall. "Did you watch me dance with Jason?" asked Dani. I nodded. To be fair, I had caught a glimpse of them while I watched Dean. "Is he single?" I asked her.

"Yes, and he asked me to dance with him after dinner again," cheered Dani. I put on my best smile for her. The dinner was decadent, nothing but the best. We ate caviar and lobster.

Pete sat next to me and I was glad he did. He played sports on a very high level and still managed to get good grades. We often studied together and most of the time we traveled together as well. We came from the same city.

"Do you have a partner for the new project?" asked Pete. "Nope, not yet," I smiled. Pete normally just assumed we worked together, so I thought it was a strange question. I eyed him and he quicky caught on.

"I mean, you and Dean", croaked Pete. "From who did you hear that?!" I shot at him. "The two of you were pretty cozy before class, and during the break," stated Pete.

I thought about that… I guess we kind of were. "Ah," I mumbled. "I don't have a partner for the new project," I noted.

"Good," responded Pete, with obvious relieve. "How did your last game go?" I asked him. "We won of course," Pete smiled brightly. He had wavy brown hair, that fell just before his green eyes.

"Of course you did," I chuckled. A waiter came to ask what kind of desert we wanted. We had the choice between chocolate cake and vanilla ice-cream. "I don't know what to choose," I sheepishly said to the waiter.

Pete looked at me endearingly. "She will have chocolate cake and I will have vanilla ice-cream," Pete ordered on behalf of both of us. I eyed him. Pete gave me a goofy smile. "Don't worry, we will share," he grinned. "That way you can have both," said Pete.

"I would be completely lost without you," I claimed.

"Have you heard the last rumor?" Dani suddenly joined our conversation. I frowned and shook my head 'no'. Pete rolled his eyes, he always joked about her being so nosy.

"There is being said that there is an actual prince studying at our university," she cheered. "And I think it is true, because I have read it in a gossip magazine," Dani said pretty loud.

Pete did not seem convinced. "And who is he then?" retorted Pete. Dani raised both shoulders and sighed. "But I will find him, you bet I'll find him," announced Dani.

"I see a Cinderella story coming up," I laughed. "I am not about to kiss any frogs, so I have to think of a good scheme to find this prince," Dani seemed to think out loud. Others addressed her about the so called prince that was supposedly walking around our campus.

I was hardly interested in anything like that, and Pete obviously was not either. We went on to speak about his sports.

When the deserts came, we fed each other the deserts, and we made a sport out of getting the other dirty. I had smuched him with chocolate and because of him, my nose was now full of whip cream.

I jumped when I got tapped on my shoulders. I quickly turned around, but I already knew who it was. My eyes grew wide as he observed my dirty face. "Come," said Dean. His lips were pressed into a hard line.

I did not have time to clean my face, because he dragged me out of the dining hall, across the last hall we were in before, into the staircase.

We were completely alone.

Dean pinned me to the staircase wall. His body was pressed against mine, his hands were on both sides of my head. He looked like a wild animal.

He brought his face down, inches away from mine. My breathing spiked in my throat. We were both breathless.

"What are you doing?" said Dean, his voice raw with emotion.

"I don't understand," I whispered. Dean licked his lips and leaned in. I closed my eyes in response. But he did not kiss me.

Instead, he kissed the whip cream off my nose and tilted my chin up to look at my eyes.

"There," he started to say. His breath touched my skin, setting it on fire. "You have succeeded, you have me jealous," announced Dean. I gulped, finding it hard to breathe normal.

His lips were partly parted. "You are doing it again," said Dean with an almost pained expression. "I should just kiss you already," proposed Dean.

My heartbeat sped up to the point I thought I was going to faint. He leaned in closer, one of his hands dropped down from the wall to my left hip. His other hand stroke through my hair and then caressed my cheek. I leaned against his hand. His blue eyes seemed like the most precious diamonds.

He then cupped my face, placing his forehead against mine. He gently brush my nose against his and whispered, "You are incredibly beautiful, do you know that," and brought his lips to mine.

The kiss felt rich, yet soft. I felt him smile against my lips and I opened my eyes to look at him. He was looking at me too, with indeed, a huge grin on his face. His lips were still on mine and I brought my hands to his head, feeling his soft blond hair.

On cue, he started to deepen the kiss, by parting my lips. I felt like I was on flames. He started to insert his tongue, but before I could properly feel him, we heard a door open.

"Bro, I am sorry to interrupt this little affair right here, but you are called up to speech," said James from the dancehall door. Dean looked at me with one eye open. He was so incredibly edible. His lips were curled up into a smile

"Not now Jason," muttered Dean against my lips.

"Your father is here," announced Jason.

Dean sighed and unwillingly put a couple inches of space between us. He looked at me, like he was studying me, and slightly cocked his head to the left.

"Give me thirty seconds and I will be there," he told Jason, still holding my gaze. Jason closed the door and Dean had this mischievous grin on his face.

Before I could figure out what he was up to, he pinned me to the wall again with his hard length. He kissed me on the bare skin of my shoulder and then my neck. "Ah.." I moaned softly. He chuckled and then took the skin of my throat in his mouth.

He bit me softly and then sucked very hard. I all but melted in his hands. He looked at me with a smug expression as I stared at him, frozen in place.

"Dean," I said in shock. "What have you done, I mean… that's a mark that will remain visible for a while" I mumbled, touching my throat.

"Well, good," declared Dean. "That will teach him," he said and winked at me. "You can't be serious," I muttered as he guided me back. "Oh, yes I am," responded Dean.

There was no mistake that now everyone would know what we were up to. Everyone was quiet when we entered the dining hall and all eyes were on us.

Seeming not to give a darn about who was watching, he showed me back to my seat and playfully stroke the mark he created. It was now very obvious that he did not chose the spot he marked me by accident. It was placed so that Pete could immediately see it. It was a warning.

He branded me.

Dean was being wired up with a handsfree mic. I shifted in my seat uncomfortably. I felt so many eyes burning on me.

Dani elbowed me. "What was that all about?" asked Dani. I turned to her and thought of something to say. "Later," I offered. Dani did not seem to agree to that. "Your neck," whispered Dani, way too loud. The other girl next to her, which I did not recodnize, was now also intrigued.

"Are you an item now?" frowned the girl. She was a red-head and completely in style, she wore a deep red satin dress.

I felt that Pete was now shifting in his seat, probably also waiting for me to answer the question that was now being asked.

I swallowed.
