A week has passed since Ilirielth met her new 'friend'. Except for having to eat monsters' corpses and the curse. She got nothing to complain about, her situation was much better than 2 months ago. No creature dared to wander to her new 'house'. Although Iliriendil didn't look that scary, the mountains of corpses he left behind definitely chased out the other monster. The only those who could come here were those giants but to them, Iliriendil was like a deity.
Staying with him for almost a week, she gradually got his characteristic. Her friends would definitely laugh at her if she said she could understand a monster. To her, Iliriendil didn't seem like a monster at all, he was just a short-tempered guy that had a bad habit of speaking too fast. He had abnormal hatred for someone who lied to him. But overall he was very reasonable, for a monster at least.
" Iliriendil, could we go outside?"
" Why?"
" What do you mean why? We've been here the whole week! Don't you want to get out of this place?"
" There was no reason. Here I had food and shelter."
' I don't want to eat that kind of food!' -cIlirielth wanted to scream
She got sick of eating those mutated monster corpses! The last corpse she ate was the fcking mistake of life, the disgusting Death Ostrich. The others were all rotted and uneatable for her. The fcking bird was so fcking big and the giants for some reason didn't come here in the past week to provide more supply. If she couldn't get Iliriendil out of this place she would have to eat the disgusting bird for at least one more week.
" Look Ilriendil, don't you want to get out of here? Just like I told you there was so much fun in the outside world!"
For the past week, she told him her stories about her country, about the outside world. Unlike what she was expected, he didn't seem to be impressed, about those. There was a sad look on his face.
" The outside world has nothing but sadness and horror, I would rather stay here."
" What? Have you ever gone outside? But didn't you say you lost your memory?"
" Just a feeling."
" Aghhh! Just go out with me please!"
Ilriendil became annoying. He reminded her of her old friend who was a mage. She was a big neet always stuck in her all room reading books and always said things like 'The outside world is scary, I'm better just stay here.'
" Why don't you just go for yourself?"
" There are too many monsters that are stronger than me here. If I go alone I would die!"
" Then stay."
" … No I'll go."
" Alone?'
" If I had to."
" …"
Ilirielth thought about it for a while. Her plan was to leave this place from the start. She couldn't stay here with Iliriendil. She would rather die than be stuck in this place forever.
" I guess this would be our farewell, sorry Iliriendil but I have to return to my home."
" …"
Ilirielth gave up on convincing Iliriendil, she just met him this week, and she had no right to force him to go with her or to protect her.
" Farewell then, good luck."
Dragging herself out of the big cave, she looked back, still hoping that he would change his mind. But there was no movement from him, Iliriendil was just standing and silently looking at her. She thought there was a glimpse of sadness on his face.
Ilirielth carefully moved while observing everything ahead of her. She regretted laughing at the Scout from her team before. Her team was always strong compared to the area they went to so scouting was pretty useless. For the first time in her life, she wish her class was not a Sword Master but a Scout. Although not tested it yet but she didn't think sword skill would have much use here when almost monsters were more than 2x faster and stronger than her. Her best chance was to level up and break the level 200 limit. But breaking the ascension limit would take years. It took Ilirielth 2 years to get from level 150 to 151, which was considered a very short amount of time, normal people were usually stuck at level 150 for the rest of their lives. Although Ilrielth always believe that she could break level 200 but at the moment she didn't have any faith in that.
Iliriendil gave her one of his tentacles. He said it would protect her from some monsters. it was tied to her right arm at the moment. On her way, she was detected by many monsters but all of them immediately ran away as their life depended on it.
" Iliriendil must have been pretty nasty with those kinds."
Ilirielth sighed she didn't know if she should be glad or nervous. Because the times they detected her increased the further she walked. It increased to almost 200 times she could have died had it not for the reputation of Iliriendil in the area. She knew she would eventually run into an ignorant one at this rate.
After moving for a while she ended up with two paths to choose again.
" What's the hell with this damm place? Why it's exactly like the escape dungeon game in the capital?"
She doubted that any demon in Mordox would know about a human's game. But this was not a coincidence, someone or something designed this place. First of all the place was too neat to be something made in nature and this was the third 2 paths to choose she encountered in the past month. This was not good news at all. The one who created this place must be a terrific being or else how could all these high-level monsters be captured here? There was no reason to rack her head about things she would not be able to know. She picked the left path.
She was led to a much larger area. The ceiling of this area was so high that it made the big mana crystals look like stars. Just how deep underground was this place? Just as Ilirielth was stunned by the scenery. Something flew on her head. Two big shadows seemed to be fighting with each other. Ilirielth immediately took cover under a large rock. The intense roars came from these beasts silent her rapid heart rate. One of the creatures crashed to the ground revealing the shape of its body. Long tails, big wings, obsidian skin. Ilirielth eyes wide opened, and her eyes were glued to the information display about the creature. Its race was " Dragon".
