Making A Friend

Yuki slowly began her training and was making some progress in her flash step but not enough to write home about. As for her taijutsu and ninjutsu, she was making very good progress. In her previous life, her elder sister trained her in how to fight in hand to hand combat, so it was just taking what she learned then and applying it to her current training.

After a week of training and lazing around the house in her off time, Jiraiya said she had learned enough to defend herself, and now she could go outside and explore the village. Unlike her old world, where someone her age would not be able to leave the yard, Konoha was completely different. It was like a safe haven where kids could run the streets without worrying about anything and could just be kids.

Although mentally, Yuki was not a kid, she still wished to walk around and check out the village. She had only been down the same street and had been wanting to explore a bit of her new surroundings.

As Yuki walked the streets, she found the air to be very fresh. She really had not noticed it until now but compared to the air of her home world, this world's air was free of pollutants. Although there was technology, they only used the bare necessities. So there were no towering factories or anything like that that had huge smoke stacks that she knew about anyway.

Feeling relaxed as she explored, she came to a side area near a park when she heard the sounds of someone crying. Yuki frowned slightly because she could tell the sounds were from a girl. Being someone who could not keep her nose out of other business due to her wanting to be a hero, she followed the sounds to a large tree and behind that large tree was a young girl with short blue hair sitting on the ground, hugging her knees with her head buried into them.

When Yuki looked at the girl and saw the bruises on her exposed skin, her brow furrowed and wondered who could hit such a small girl. 'Rukia, is there any kind of healing, kido?'

Kido, also known as demon arts, was like ninjutsu but a shinigami form of power. It was not easy to master, and even Yuki was having issues with it, but she could not stand here and let this young girl be covered in bruises. They were so dark and deep looking that she knew they had to hurt. 'There is chiyudou, and the most basic form of it is quite easy. Even children can use it with a bit of practice.'

'Please teach me….' Yuki wanted to help this girl. The girl was so defenseless that she had not even noticed that Yuki had been standing next to her the entire time.

'Since it mainly looks like bruises, you can use yawarakai seppun. Concentrate your soul power into the tip of your fingers and slowly massage the bruised areas. This is as basic as it gets when it comes to chiyudou.' Rukia explained lightly.

Yuki nodded as she knelt down next to the girl. She did not reach out to start trying to heal the girl. She did not wish to scare her. Instead, she sat next to her. It was only then that the little girl around the same age as Yuki noticed the presence of a person next to her. She raised her tear filled eyes and looked at Yuki with a confused expression and blushed cheeks.

Yuki smiled at the girl and asked: "My name is Yuki. What's yours?"

"Hi-Hi-Hinata…." The girl fumbled her words as she spoke.

"Hinata, huh? Very pretty name. You have very pretty eyes. You should not allow them to be sullied by tears." Yuki reached out and wiped the tears from Hinata's eyes causing Hinata to stare at her in a daze. "I know we just met, but if you have something bothering you, you can talk to me. I would like to become friends. What do you think?"

"Yo-You want to be fri-friends with me?" Hinata asked, unsure of why this girl she just met would want to be friends with a person like her. She has always been told she was useless, and even her own father treated her indifferently. Hinata lowered her head as she spoke softly: "But I am useless…"

Yuki had to take a deep breath. She wanted to know what person would tell a small child they were useless. This was just…. Yuki's rage began to boil. A serious expression formed on Yuki's face as she yelled out: "No one is useless! I do not know who told you such a thing, but that person is definitely an idiot!"

Hinata's eyes went wide hearing Yuki call her own father an idiot. But what surprised her more was that a person she did not know actually said she was not useless. She really did not know how to feel about this.

Yuki thought for a moment before standing up. "Hinata, come with me."

Yuki reached out her hand as she smiled at Hinata, who was staring at her in a daze. Hinata did not know how to really react, but after a moment's hesitation, she reached out her hand and let Yuki pull her up and lead her away.

After the two left, Naruto just so happened to be walking by on his way to get some ramen. His eyes wandered over to the large tree, and felt like he was missing something but quickly shook his head as he continued forward.

At this time, Hinata was still in a daze as Yuki pulled her along. Yuki wanted to heal Hinata's wounds but also wanted her to understand that being useless was the last thing she was. Yuki did not stop and brought Hinata directly to her house, where Jiraiya was sitting outside reading a book. He looked up to see Yuki walking in with a Hyuga girl and raised an eyebrow. "Hmm? Isn't the disinherited Hyuga girl?"
