Chapter 10: Gear Up

Chapter 10: Gear Up

~Albus POV~

Covering my Ultimate Eye up I didn't want to take any chances with the Supremacist people living here as I wander into a Supremacist village hating Faunus.

Fortunately, I managed to obtain some info from the memories of the souls that were in the Philosopher Stone of those people entering my head to recognize what exactly kind of world I live into a degree.

Granted they are blurry information but at least it did help me get situated in the understanding of Remnant work.

Surprisingly enough though it was very enlightening.

In the social media and entertainment industries, I see that they are somewhat lacking completely of entertainment.

Some social awareness of Grimm.

Some shows with barely what I call entertaining as talking about it.

Fuck even the novels and comics here are pretty much some old fairy tales as others are about Huntsman or Huntresses fighting impossible Grimm.

No imagination at all.

Concerning even if that's the case.

However, it did help me get an idea of starting up some books from my world here and perhaps get an anime adaptation with some ideas popping up.

Yeah.

I can certainly imagine it but I digress I got enough info to work off on but something weird here is the laws.

I give myself a fresh course in this world of polygamy being a thing here. And there is an actual reason for why and that's because of the lack of population in Remnant.

So yeah being in a post-apocalyptic world seriously does affect the economy of how many people are alive in this world. And because of this, it is implied it's ok to procreate at times with more branching family groups.

Since with the constant rise of Grimm attacks in villages or the rise of death rates of these attacks, it's sort of enforced as a GOOD thing to procreate or have multiple girls to have around.

Anyone could have a harem it's just the thing is though there aren't as many laws understanding them it's just the social norm here of being judged.

But the main one is because having more people in the world to fight Grimm is necessary but fortunately or not depending on who's looking at this one is about having a harem is that it's uncommon to happen because of religious kingdom ideology.

Vale is ok with it but just uncommon, Atlas not so much because of Faunus segregation laws, Mistral is iffy about those with humans and Faunus but in the same race ok, and Vacuo though really ok so long as your strong kind of deal.

Honestly weird but understandable at the same time.

Even some laws talk about Aura as well being awakened untraditionally in a legal sense which is really something I didn't think about here.

But they aren't enforced much on the legal side of things but for now I can ignore it for the time being.

Still, the info provided from them have been certainly been enlightening on how things have been progressing.

Entering inside the village it seems to be named Irlam Village.

Upon entering the village finally arriving as this village is located within the territory of the Anima forest area and is surrounded by multiple forests and large meadows.

The village itself exists out of many small houses, within the center of the village a house bigger than the others, which even carries its own flag symbol showing a family emblem on some of the people's homes.

There are multiple small bridges and roads that cross Irlam Village, the most notable one is the road to the rivers. There is also a small bridge that crosses to the other side of the forest that leads into a forest full of farm animals.

It looks like that in order to protect the villagers, they used some wooden tree spikes that functioned as a barrier, which prevented any Grimm from trespassing.

Quite a homey village if you don't consider the Supremacist fuckers in the village.

"Halt!"

"Identify yourself!"

Seeing the guards here I began to reply to them of the situation as I answered, "Just you're stranger wandering around. I came around to stop and supply myself for the night."

"Hmm…"

"What happened to your eye?"

Really?

Sigh…

I began to reply to the guard on duty with an obvious lie that is believable enough, "It's to keep my semblance from acting up. Don't want it causing trouble ya know?"

At that, the two talked to each other before nodding as they began to let me into their Irlam Village as I continue inside.

That was easy enough.

Now then what I need now is some supplies and with the Lien previously looted I could probably get some primary stuff I need.

A gun really has no purpose for what I have in mind though but with the Ultimate Eye might as well consider myself a sharpshooter with my eyes acting like a scope.

Also…

It really is handy to tell me a person's history and weakness at a glance.

I can see why Bradley was proud of this eye as it's a lot to take in but doable even under some clothes to make sure to hide it.

Hmm…

Maybe I can become an informant of some kind as a job thanks to my Ultimate Eye granting me the ability to see my enemy info and weakness.

But also there is another perk I have also found out using my Ultimate Eye is the mere fact that I can actually know what my enemy's semblance is before they even knew themselves.

Managed to figure that out with some nearby Huntsman in the area as I made a quick scan under my eyes to get enough info out of them and to my surprise they haven't figured out their Semblance yet.

But on ordinary people with their aura locked is no.

Might be the cause they don't have it unlocked yet but still good to know.

Could make a good profit out of this ability.

That kind of knowledge and payment would practically make anyone pay me top dollar to those that don't know their own semblances because it's a well-known fact for Huntsman that graduate that they don't know their semblances still continue their line of work.

Imagine if someone can merely just tell you your unknown power would be a boon to them to finally be known or in the group of superpowered individuals.

I know a few that could learn their semblances like Roman or Watts from the show that don't know their Semblances as it has been stated they fight without one because they don't know their own.

Could prove useful.

"Sir are you sure you want these?"

"Yeah, man just give me the paint, pens, and markers."

"I mean this is for kids and – "

"Look man do you want my Lien or not?"

"Meh. Lien is Lien I guess even if you are a teen."

"Oh, and an eye patch."

"Why?"

"Don't question a teenager's needs."

"Sure… weirdo."

Rolling my eyes at this I paid the guy my Lien I had left over to pay for some markers and paint for my alchemy markings for my right arm, "Yeah, yeah I get it, mister. I have my reasons why you guys are so nosey about it."

Raising his arms up as I handed him the Lien on the counter he replied honestly, "Nothing really! Just curious is all. Well, you got your stuff. Hope you do what you want and no vandalizing with them you hear!"

Raising my eyebrow at that the guy sighs as he gave me an explanation about as I never asked for one.

Weird guy.

Collecting the items in question I began to hurry for my hotel for the night after living in the woods and the dirt it gets tiring after a while and man, I missed getting a hot shower.

God knows how I missed one of those.

Like that, I got the stuff I needed to get from the store by handing him the Lien and made my way to a nearby place of stay.

Getting out of the store I proceeded to go inside a tavern and pay for the cheap food I need to fuel my belly.

*Munch*

*Munch*

God, I missed food so much.

I can totally understand Sanji's situation of having no food and Akame's need for meat.

I understand it now completely.

All is one, and one is all.

Continuing to eat the food until I was all but done as I would remember this feeling for a long while.

Shaking my head a bit and the materials I bought I began to think of some items needed for this to work and start creating some Alchemy symbols for me to use.

And some things to start thinking about for the future hopefully.
