Chapter 63: Brief Training with Adam

"Ahh…"

Yawning in the morning I began to wake myself up in the morning as I glanced at my makeshift bed I began to see Cinder on the other side of the room with her own bed asleep as I began to use my alchemy on my clothes.

Ah…

The power of instant clean clothes.

Heh.

Alchemy powers are bullshit useful.

Moving outside for a bit I began to check out the area ahead of me as I see a few members of the White Fang already up I waved my arm to them as they returned the gesture.

Seems like they have really taken a liking to me and Cinder for helping them out I hear words of gratitude from them as I glance around to see Adam leaning at the side of the Branch Leader as he looks at me.

He began to talk to me getting his weapon as he began to gesture towards me to follow, "Albus right. Let me rephrase my thanks for saving the Branch Leader's life and the Vice Branch Captain's. They made it alive and are getting better by the day."

Using my Ult. Eye I nodded my head as he told me was the truth seeing the background as I began to reply back, "Yeah. I'm really glad as well for their safety. And what happened when you guys left?"

"We took care of it."

That was all he said as his handy work was a massacre but…

Seeing the damages that these Human supremacists did attack and left them to die like that.

Nodding in understanding towards Adam I replied to him about his actions, "I see. Good then. The only good enemy is a dead enemy like those Human supremacists."

"Heh."

That seems to get a small laugh out of him as what I said is true because a good enemy is a dead enemy.

Adam then begins to talk to me with a grateful tone as he began to talk me about humans, "True. Those humans had it coming attacking our brothers and sisters like that. Glad you see it my way."

Now that is just a bit disturbing.

But rolling my eyes Adam then begins to continue away from the camp as he began to get his sword, "But enough talk. How about some light training with your swordsmanship? And you tell me more about that Breathing technique."

Welp.

Nodding my head, I needed the proper training and a pro in his area of expertise.

Walking into somewhere secluded in the Forever Falls I saw that we finally managed to find a place to train.

Once we got enough in the distance, I already draw my blade out as Adam motioned over to me as he spoke to me, "Now come. I need to see where exactly you stand in your swordsmanship. I'll be the judge of your skills."

Nodding at this I breathed into my lungs…

"Whew…"

Thunder Breathing First Form: Thunderclap and Flash!

Rushing towards Adam already focusing on improving my abilities as I made a quick swinging motion as the Thunder Alchemy activated at him he merely grabbed his hand on the handle of his blade readying to counter my blade or parry.

Rushing towards him with my quick strike I only blocked it as he absorbed the thunder produced from my Alchemy as we clashed between blades.

*Clang*

Sparks of metal between the two clashed as Adam absorbed the thunder's alchemy energy into his sword thanks to his semblance as he spoke, "Hmm… you have the power. But you're working behind it needs a lot of improvement. Like so!"

*Swoosh*

Shit!

He twirled his blade as he motioned my weight forward as I have my aura up as he began to slash at me.

Ack…!

*Swoosh*

*Crack*

"Ouch…!"

Feeling the pain of my front side of my body and the pain of my back cracking on the tree making it show the signs of damage as I get myself up as Adam speaks, "Good. You know the feeling of pain and decent Aura control. Could be better though."

Yeah, yeah I get it, you psychopath.

Standing up again taking up my stance again as I change up to another form of Thunder Breathing I began to feel my lungs on fire as I used Hamon to help my physical strength out here.

"Whew…"

Thunder Breathing Second Form: Rice Spirit!

*Shiii*

Using Second Form: Rice Spirit is when I release five arched slashes accompanied by lightning in quick succession but it certainly made Adam move when he saw them coming towards him as he blocked it using his Semblance absorbing the thunder alchemy strikes.

Perfect.

His distracted by all the flashy strikes as I began to use the next step.

"Whew…!"

Next, I heard Adam speaking to me a bit disappointed as he began to lecture me about the art of fighting, "Nice try kid. But I'm afraid this alone won't do against an experienced fighter you need to be creative – "

"Sixfold."

This technique was created by Zenitsu to be used as I took a page out of his book trying to move my swinging faster.

Sixfold - An extension of the Thunderclap and Flash technique created by Zenit. The user performs Thunderclap and Flash six times in quick succession while slightly augmenting the power and speed of his dashes.

But…

"Not bad…"

Adam fucking blocked all of my strikes with some trouble but soon managed to get himself together again as he managed to block all of those strikes each block becoming faster with each strike I did.

Backing away from the trained rebel leader I faced Adam dead in the eye as he began to lecture me about the form actually admiring it, "Have to say this Breathing is really useful stuff. Especially the slight change in strength with each strike… this could prove useful for the Fang future."

Agreeing with that I began to explain to Adam my original plans to teach the Faunus of this style among others, "Yeah I was originally planning to let the Faunus learn this Breathing Style when Ghira gave me the green light to enter Menagerie."

Adam nods at this as he next began to belittle my fighting style or my experience for that matter as he spoke, "I agree. But you lack actual combat experience. It's showing your still a greenhorn in fighting. With some time and effort on your end, you could become someone dangerous. But currently, you need to work on your body strength."

Sigh…

Hate to admit it but it's true.

Sheathing his sword away as I did the same Adam gestures to me to return to camp as he began to talk to me calmly, "We have a long day ahead with Camp. Plus, you need to send your friend… Cinder to Vale, didn't you? And I bet Blake is searching for us now how about we return back. We each have our own business, right?"

Right.

I still need to work on that Stealth Magic along with my Enhancement Magic plus I could use this time to train.

Plus, I have to get Cinder to Beacon as promised.

Agreeing with the Faunus I followed behind him as I have my own stuff needing to get done anyway.

While we walked down I replied to Adam if he doesn't mind me returning back here, "Say Adam you don't mind if I return here for a place of stay in Vale."

Adam thinks for a bit before he nods at me when he gave me his verbal reply to me, "Hmm… I guess we could. I mean you saved the Branch Leader so it shouldn't be a problem and we still have our deal to do. So I guess it's fine for so long as you're in Vale."

Smirking at that I have a free place to stay for my time in Vale.

With that, we both returned to camp as we have each of our worries to deal with as I now have to take Cinder to Vale.
