A Wolf In The City

I stood in my wolf form staring at the fragile body of Valerie in front of me. I had to believe that she was really standing there. How? When did she get back?

I was still shocked by her appearance when I heard my wolf let out a happy howl. Just as intended, Valerie turned her head to hear where the howling sound was coming from, but I was still behind the woods.

She walked away from the balcony and moved towards the driveway, her eyes roaming everywhere.

"What are you doing?" I said to my wolf when I was Valerie coming closer to the woods like she was being summoned.

"I'm trying to check if the mate's bond is still here. Gladly it is, she wasn't touched by the scum Prince." Fuzzy Gray replied and I couldn't help but feel relieved. Thankfully, I didn't even have to go to Vidin, and she was already here…untouched.
