Chapter 86

Bredret's body bellowed a deep rumbling growl. It was as if thunder was rolling within the walls of the temple.

"Bredret, I suggest you use caution while we are-" Daryl tried to calm the man down but before he could finish his words the snake had launched forward at Bredret.

Instead of avoiding the incoming attack from the giant snake Bredret reached out with his bare hands and caught it by the fangs with his arms stretched out wide. Inhaling heavily and slowly Bredret's lungs light afire. As he exhaled into the mouth of the undead snake in his grasp a blazing inferno burst forth cooking the snake from the inside.

The snake shook violently as it tried to escape Bredret's grasp. A loud howling hiss echoing throughout the vast area. The missing body parts of the snake that were originally purple fire had been overlapped with the flame of the dragon being poured through it. Once the snake escaped the grasp of the man it trembled and hissed violently. Its flames returning to its purple hue.

Bredret's body released a loud bellowing roar as his eyes began to glow a bright gold.

"Bredret! What did I just warn you-" Daryl shouted as everyone covered and squinted their eyes with their hands to see what was going on.

But Daryl's pleas did not register for Bredret to comprehend. Before anyone had time to react Bredret's dragon form had transformed.

The temple of Iemis exploded with a rain of dirt, gold, and white marble bricks for miles around. A massive red dragon crawling out from the ruins of what was once a beautiful temple with a giant undead snake latched onto his neck with its fangs. Everyone who had been in the same room were carefully trying to take shelter under the large dragon so that they would not be smashed by the falling marble. The only one who had no worry for the situation was Bredret.

Bredret's front legs grasp a tight hold onto the snake and tore it from his body. Slamming the snake to the ground as the dragons blood dripped to the ground from where he had been bitten. A fiery inferno began to form within his mouth as Bredret opened wide. Shooting forth to scorch the earth and snake below.

The snake squirmed and shot forth as it tried to wrap around and strangle the dragon. Dragon's nails sunk into the charred undead body of the snake. His mighty jaws opening wide and sinking down into the skull of the snake. Tighter Bredret's fangs sunk down the more frantic the snake was to escape.

In the end the snake was no match against the strength of Bredret, a dragon.

He bellowed a loud roar into the air as Bredret's wings spread wide. In the distance he could sense something troubling.

"There is the scent of another." Bredret's voice echoed loud and strong all around them as he turned his massive head in the direction of the others.

"Another undead beast?" Leo asked. He had regained some strength in his body but he was still very worn out.

"Yes. This one is different though.." Bredret's throat echoed a loud growl that said he was ready to tear into whatever it was.

Vorbuk remembered Chynir had mentioned that the clone was not the only one involved. There was another that was already on his way to the capital. Glancing up at Leo he was certain he had the same thought cross his mind as well.

"Let's go. Quickly." Leo said as he started to climb onto the dragon with everyone else following up from behind.

When did I become a carriage? Bredret thought to himself as he realized everyone had acted without a question towards his opinion.

"If you fall off its not my problem. Solve it on your own accord." Bredret said sternly as he shot into air as soon as everyone was on his back.

I doubt he would actually let someone... But before Vorbuk could finish his thought he caught the look on Daryl's face that said Bredret was being serious.

Bredret's body was massive but his speed was quick. Among the dragons he was not considered the lord of the skies for nothing. Even among the dragons he was one of the quickest fliers known. It only took him a matter of minutes to catch up to the scent of the other undead creature that was drawing his attention.

In the sky flying above the capital was an undead wyvern. The wyvern was not something that bothered Bredret. It was the scent of death pouring off of the man riding it. The man's body was built entirely of black colored bone. There was no skin on his body and his head was a black skull. Patches of purple flames were seeping out from his body. No clothing covered the man as he was wearing nothing but a loin cloth.

He was one of Chynir's servants.

The Undead King.

"Bredret.. can you make him grounded?" Vorbuk asked the dragon beneath them.

He thought that if they could make The Undead King bound to the ground it would give them more of an advantage against him. The only problem for them was the wyvern that helped him become air born. It would make things too complicated during a fight. Wyvern was the one they had to deal with first and Bredret was the best option to deal with it.

"Of course." Bredret responded.

Without hesitation the dragons jaws opened wide as his body shot towards the Undead King. Clasping his wyvern's neck within his sharp fangs. Bredret's claws reaching out and grasping the wings of the wyvern so that it could no longer remain air bound. As the wyvern tried to struggle free all of them went tumbling down towards the ground below at a drastic speed.

"Bredret you crazy son of-!!!!" someone shouted but nobody knew who because everyone was holding on to Bredret as tightly as they could.

As they all descended Bredret's wings bent backwards in order to shield everyone from what was about to happen. He did not quite like allowing others to use him for moving around. Though Bredret was not cold blooded enough to cause harm to those close to him. If it was a stranger, however, he would've left their fate entirely to themselves to solve.

He could see the ground closing in quickly. Glancing around in order to quickly grasp his bearings on the surroundings around them. It seemed The Undead King had already been above Cista's capital when they had caught up with him.

Detouring to avoid the capital would take more time for him to move the wyvern while dealing with its struggling attempt to escape his grasp.

BOOOMMMMM!

Within the center of Cista's Capital Bredret's body had completely body slammed the wyvern into the ground. Bricks and dirt were raining all around the capital as citizens ran for shelter. Some even screamed as they ran to escape the dragons.

He was not entirely careless about body slamming the wyvern straight down into the center of Cista's capital, Bredret had aimed for a low populated place to crash.. At least that was what he thought about himself.
