Chapter 331

"There is nowhere for you to go on this ship. You can not escape." General Vulen called out to the wolf as he walked in his direction. He was not going to allow the beast to leave.

Boom! Booom!

Vorbuk could hear the sounds of the pirate ship's attacks striking against the barriers. Without looking he knew that the others had come for him. It did not matter if they had come. The general would not allow him to go easily.

Where did that thing come from? General Vulen thought while looking at the three tailed fox riding on the back of the beast. From a glance he could tell the creature was unique and probably one of Kaiser's. The Kitsune race were small in number like the phoenix race but they could not hide their existence easily. This was due to the fact they had multiple tails.

Instinctively wanting to protect the child from General Vulen the wolf growled at the elf. He did not like the look in the general's eyes. General Vulen was debating on what he should do about the fox. If it belonged to Kaiser he could not simply put the fox at risk. It would be best to return it to the vampire when he was done dealing with the wolf.

"I will need to make sure she doesn't escape either or that guy might go crazy if she belongs to him." General Vulen considered it carefully. He did not like how the vampires treated other races but he did not intend to become enemies with Kaiser.

Vorbuk needed a way out of the situation. Vampires were circling around him to try and capture him again. Closing in on him slowly as he growled at them in warning. Trying his hardest the wolf tried to get his mana to react to his commands again. He tried to concentrate on it while keeping his guard up against the vampires.

Pzzzt! Pzzzzzzt! Pzzzt!

The magic collar around his neck started to spark. Making strange sounds as it started to glow a deep red the more Vorbuk forced his control over the mana. It was the collar reacting to his mana being forcibly accessed. He could feel a weak motion from his mana.

[ WARNING! ] [ WARNING! ] [ WARNING! ]

[ Suggesting to cease action. Host may put themselves at risk. ]

God's voice called out to him to turn back from his choice of action. However he could not put himself and the little fox at risk of being captured again. It was difficult for the others to catch up to him this far. If he was captured again he worried they might not be able to help him once again.

Crack!

A sudden crack appeared in the magic collar that was around the wolf's neck.

General Vulen began to panic as he saw the collar breaking down before him, shouting at the vampires around, "Get him back in the cage! NOW!"

"Yes, sir!" The vampires that were getting close to the wolf all agreed to the command in unison. They dashed forward with a speed that was difficult for the eye to follow. None of the vampires were as highly ranked as Aoki but vampires were still difficult to handle even on their own accord. Speed, tenacity, and terrifyingly good instincts in a fight were something they naturally had. It made them a dangerous race. A single vampire was enough to destroy an entire village on their own.

Leah held on to the wolf with her small paws as the beast charged at the elf, Vulen. His sharp fangs bared as he leapt up at him. She could hear the angry growl being bellowed from the beast. A small light flickered in her eyes as the little fox gripped the collar with her own teeth and began to pull at it roughly. She would help him break free...

"Neither of you will make it off this ship." General Vulen pulled out his sword and blocked the wolf's attack.

Clang!

The sword vibrated in his hands as the wolf's fangs clenched down onto the blade. Sharp nails from the beast digging against his chest as the wolf refused to let go. Warm blood seeped from the wolf's mouth as the sharp blade cut against the mouth of the beast.

Vorbuk flinched when he realized the little fox was trying to help him. The electrical current being set loose from the collar was shocking the small fox. He could not allow her to get hurt for his sake. She was still young and he needed to send her out quickly.

Loud creaking from the ships could be heard beneath a loud bang as the pirate ship collided against the vampire barriers that were placed up to protect the ship. Captain Cory was ramming his ship repeatedly against the barriers. The brute force was causing the vampires to struggle to keep their mana in check. A few of them coughed up blood as their barriers shattered from the mere force of impact.

THUD!

"Master~!" Ashley called out to Vorbuk as he landed on board General Vulen's ship. Calling out for the one he served with all his loyalty.

Prince Leo coughed as the vampire, Ashley, was still holding him with one arm after helping him jump ships. As a vampire, Ashley was more adapted to long distance jumps. Prince Leo was only a human and still had his limits when it came to parkour compared to races like the vampires.

"You can put me down now." Prince Leo spoke with discomfort.

Ashley had been so excited to see his master that he had completely forgotten about the prince until he spoke, "Ah."

Thud!

Ashley dropped the prince flat on his face. Prince Leo had landed face down on his stomach with his sword still clenched in his hand. Grunting from the fall as he struggled to quickly stand back up.

"Was that necessary?" Prince Leo asked with frustration and a throbbing pain in his head.

"You did ask him to put you down." Sebastian's voice could be heard as he landed on his own behind the two of them.

What race is he? I can not read this guy at all... Prince Leo thought to himself as he still felt uncomfortable around Sebastian. There was something about him that made him confused. Even if he used his rare ability to look at Sebastian's personal information. He had never been able to see anything when he looked at Sebastian. It was like the man had no information to give, as if he was a ghost to the world.

Sebastian looks perfectly human and yet he could jump ships with grace... How could he do something so easily like he was a different race all together? Even if he was at a higher level there should have been signs of his mana being used. How did he move without leaving a single trace of his mana?

"We do not have time for this," Ashley did not want to listen to either of them, "master is on this ship!"

All three of them had jumped ship for one reason alone. It was to save Vorbuk.

Ashley summoned his blood scythe and cut down a weaker vampire as it jumped at him. He was not going to waste his time with the two of them. As soon as they landed they had caught the attention of the vampires on board the ship. Those vampires were prepared to kill them.
