SHE IS NOT AS PRETTY AS YOU ARE

It was already late in the evening inside the Smith mansion, everybody was in their respective rooms, the only people that could be found moving around were the few workers who were busy doing their jobs. Inside Olivia's room, the atmosphere was quiet, Jason was busy reading the documents that was given to him earlier, while Olivia was busy with her phone, smiling and sometimes laughing as she was enjoying whatever it was she was viewing.

"Haha… no matter what you wear, Emily Jones, you will never be prettier than me." She said, scrolling through her Instagram feed with her stomach against the bed and her legs playing tag with each other.

"I think she is prettier than you." Jason commented as he flipped a page of the document, looking more serious than ever.

"What did you just say?" Olivia's voice echoed in the quiet room.

"You heard me." He replied, knowing fully well that she heard him.

"You think she is prettier?" Olivia asked as her mouth hung open as she repeated what he said.

"Yes, what's wrong with that?" He asked with his usual, blank expression on his face.

"Are you fucking kidding me, have you seen this bitch?" She adjusted her body on the bed as she sat up, facing him properly.

"I have seen a picture of her before and I think she is." He said casually.

"Liar." She spat out

"Mmm… you really think you are that pretty." Jason said, loud enough for her to hear in a calm yet steady tone.

"I don't think so, I am and you can't deny that." She said in a firm tone.

"Okay." He tore his gaze from hers and returned it to the documents.

"That's it, really? You are not going to tell me I'm pretty?" She said a little louder as she demanded an answer.

"Do you want me to?" He asked, not taking his eyes off the documents.

His question caused her to still for a moment." Why do I even care if he thinks I'm pretty or not, what nonsense is this, Olivia?" She scolded herself inwardly.

"No, save it. I don't care if you think I'm pretty or not." She returned to her previous position, trying to keep her cool.

"But you just asked if I wouldn't tell you that you were pretty also." He said, looking at her with so much calmness in his eyes.

"Just, shut up." She hissed at him, losing all the cool she just gathered a moment ago.

Moments ago, Jason saw how Olivia was having a good time scrolling through her phone while he was stuck, reading some documents which he eventually got bored of. He was in this situation because of her anyway so he decided to spoil the little fun she was having so that they can be even, and he found the best way to do so. But, his plan went far better than he thought, he actually enjoyed making her feel less prettier than Emily, it caused him to smile secretly behind his calm and all so serious look. He was obviously lying to her, she was way more prettier than Emily, even he had stated that fact before.

"Just because I said she is prettier doesn't mean she actually is, I chose to say that and it's your choice to believe it or not." He said, placing the documents on the table stool near his side of the bed.

"Oh, really…. Well that's the dumbest choice you've ever made." She replied.

"You are right. She is not as pretty as you are." He said and then he got off the bed and went towards the bathroom.

Olivia didn't realize that her lips had unknowingly curved up into a smile after hearing Jason's last statement 'She is not as pretty as you are.'

"I really don't see any reason as to why you are smiling." He did it again, he killed the fun again.

"You…asshole." She said as she took one of her fluffy pillows and then threw it at him, not missing her target.

He was already used to being called an asshole, Ryan called him that all the time. Thinking about Ryan, he remembered that he had not given him a call ever since he moved into the mansion. He could already imagine how Ryan would reach once he finally gives him a call.

Jason walked into the bathroom ignoring what Olivia did as though it didn't even touch him.

After a short while, he came out of the bathroom and returned back to the bed after picking up the pillow Olivia threw at him a while ago. He sat down on the bed, with his long legs crossed and his back against the headboard

"What's going to happen after the four months are over?" He asked, placing his entwined finger behind his head.

"We will get divorced of course, do you think I like the idea of actually being married?" She said casually

"Me neither." He replied shortly.

Jason wasn't really against the idea of being a married man, just that, he didn't expect it to be so soon and especially to Olivia. Getting married was not part of his plans at the moment, he still needed to sort some things out concerning his life before taking such a drastic decision but, here he was, married to Olivia even if it's of convenience, they were still recognized as a married couple in front of the law.

"Okay, if I may ask, what will happen after we get divorced?" He asked.

"I guess I'll remain a single bad bitch forever… Hahaha." She said jokingly but she was damn serious about it.

"What about your parents?" He asked another question, this time, out of concern for her parents, especially her mother who fully trusts him.

"I will just have to make them understand that we can't be together anymore." She answered as she also was concerned about her parents' reaction when they find out about it

"Mmm…Okay. Do you have the divorce papers already? I don't want there to be unnecessary problems when the time comes for us to go our separate ways." He said to her.

"I don't have them yet, but I will get them sooner or later." She assured him.

"Good." He replied shortly.

After their short conversation, both of them resumed their previous activities and maintained the usual quiet atmosphere.
