Ch 80: Red Jelly Frozen Cake

I just allowed him to lead us away to the dance floor. He positions our bodies and footing properly for a graceful dance that you would see among Royal families. I didn't even know Kai knew how to dance like this, I thought, as I followed his lead when he dipped me.

It was seemingly romantic and even more passionate when he planted his lips on mine to kiss me for a minute. Till he straightened our bent posture and danced us in slow circles. My eyes lit up like stars to feel Kai maybe did love me.

Eh, I'm more than likely overthinking this once again. Possessive behavior isn't love! Love is what Orlando and I had for one another, I internally corrected myself in a scolding way.

Before I saw his smile fade faintly like he knew I was thinking about Orlando. Nevertheless, he remained quiet and only kissed me tenderly again.

Soon to join us were my bridesmaids and his best men. Then others were welcomed to join us on the dance floor.

Kai and I even got cut in by his niece who wanted to dance with her Uncle Kai. So I danced with her dad Chester.

"You look, beautiful little sis," he kissed my cheek like any loving big brother.

"Thank you," I said and peeked over at Kai dancing with Coraline. "She is such a cutie."

Chester beamed, saying. "She's beautiful like her mother Zoey."

I couldn't disagree with that one since Coraline did look so much like Zoey. Then their two sons look a lot like Chester and Kai from being brothers.

Then Chester shared with me. "And she has Uncle Kai's spoiled temperament."

Chester and I couldn't stop laughing as I saw Kai peeking at us. I knew by his smirk he certainly heard us poking fun of him. While he dances with his four-year-old niece Coraline. I must admit, Kai seems to do well with kids.

After our dance, Alice wonderland-style teacup plates were brought out with many cakes. Including the main wedding cake, I picked and other cakes, I chose. Somebody even painted ceramic bride and groom replicas of me and Kai on top of the cake. The glass dolls looked dead on like us! This was certainly a charitable keepsake.

Dinner was even served and displayed beautifully. With fancy glass plates and utensils that matched the teacup plates. Kai and I cut our cake together while pictures were being taken.

"So are we throwing cake into each other's faces?" I teasingly asked him.

Kai could only give me this quite charming half-smile. "No, we will keep things clean for now."

I wasn't anticipating him to say that. And what really had me wondering was the flirty wink he gave me when he beguiled his breathtaking words on that 'for now' part. He's likely thinking about something else. I could only imagine today will be the night I lose my virginity.

As quickly as that steamy image came into my head, I pushed it aside.

"Are you okay, Victoria?" Mia came up to get a piece of cake when she asked me.

"Is it getting hot in here or it is just me," I said waving my hand in front of my face.

As I heard Rome's obnoxious laughter coming from behind me. "I'm sure things will only get hotter on your honeymoon!" Rome said standing next to Kai and a few other buddies. Altogether they laughed absurdly and immaturely!

"You guys are so perverted!" Mia stood up for me. "It's a beautiful wedding and that's the only thing you're thinking about?"

"If we aren't thinking about sex. Then we're likely thinking about feeding." Said this one attractive man. All of a sudden everyone's eyes gaped, including the man that said it.

"Feeding?" I questioned his statement by repeating that one word.

"Jack, you are so gross!" Mia laughed but her laugh sounded fake and awkward like she was covering up something. As everyone else sorta joined in with a seemingly fake chuckle.

"Oh, yeah, I meant feeding on the breasts," Jack said so slyly, but I had a feeling he meant something else.

But what?...

"Forget, I even asked!" I said just wanting to end this weird conversation.

Kai took my hand. "Let's go eat at the table." He seemed to be quick with getting me away from his buddies.

"You have some pretty weird friends," I told him when he pulled out my chair for me to sit on.

"You'll get used to them," Kai replied çhuckling and then he sat down with this red jelly frozen cake. It looked a lot like frozen blood with icing over the top of it.

"That's a strange-looking piece of cake you have there." I couldn't help but comment on it.

I mean who wouldn't make a comment if you saw a cake that looked like frozen blood over icing?

Kai sorta veered his eyes my way telling me "Yes, it's a unique type of cake."

I watched as he took a bite and started to chew it up. His agate eyes seem to glow the second he tasted it. Then he seemed to savor the flavor in his mouth. Officially, this was the first time I've ever seen Kai put any food in his mouth.

"Can I try some?"

Coughs! Coughs!

"Ohh!" I quickly patted his back from him, choking on it when I asked him. When I went to reach for his drink, he quickly grabbed it before I could reach it. He yelped some of it down while I still rubbed his back.

"Are you ok, Kai?"

"Uhmm!" He coughs again and clears his throat before speaking. "Y-yeah, it just went down the wrong tube."

"Let me get you some water." I went to stand but he stopped me by pushing my knee down.

"No need, my love," he reassured with a bright smile casting at me like a lit candle. "I'm fine."

"Ok." I relaxed back in my seat and asked again. "Do you care if I try a piece of your cake?"

Kai kept that shining smile when telling me. "You won't like it, my love. So I wouldn't suggest it for you."

I sorta shrugged my shoulders and looked up to see a lot of people were diving to the dessert table to get a piece of that red frozen jelly cake. Fewer people seemed to care for the white vanilla cake wedding, the strawberry, tiramisu, chocolate, marble, or the lemon cake, I had Mrs. Collin order.

I tried to get a variety of cake flavors for the wedding. This way everyone could pick what they like but it looks like everyone picked the cake that looked like frozen blood.

Something else I noticed about the large crowd before us. Not too many people seemed to be interested in eating the food. A decent amount grabbed some food but still fewer were interested in eating. Well, I'm sure they'll be hungry later.
