Ch 134: Victoria's Parents

As soon as Dr. Riley entered Mr. Collin's office after greeting Victoria. She took a seat across from him and his wife on the opposite couch.

Then Mr. Collin handed her a folder that was on the coffee table. "Victoria's medical history is all there for you to read over," he told Dr. Riley.

"Do we know how her mother died after childbirth at age sixteen?" Dr. Riley asked while flipping through the papers and read the name Melody several times.

Mr. Collin began to unravel. "It was written down as unknown but we all know better. Victoria's mother was driven mad from carrying an infant with psychic abilities. Her mother absorbed the gifts when carrying Victoria. She suffered from hallucinations and went into an institution once she was four months pregnant to keep her stabilized."

"What did her mother see?" asked Dr. Riley.

"Between ghosts and monsters that the human eye cannot see from other dimensions," answered Mr. Collin. "She foresaw that the baby she carried was going to be a powerful vampiress one day. She insisted vampires were real and what was taken for insanity was all but the truth."

"Even growing in the womb, Victoria was that power," Dr. Riley collected as Mr. Collin confirmed with a head gesture.

"After giving birth to her Victoria she passed away from shock because of Victoria's gifts," said Mr. Collin. "Victoria separating from her mother after birth is what killed her. The tether between Victoria's psychic powers leaving the mother was too much on her body and mind."

"And her father?" Dr. Riley asked after acknowledging what he said.

"A vampiress killed him," said Mrs. Collin. "Not a motorcycle accident. A different coven covered up his death."

"Do we know if Victoria has any other living relatives from either of her parents?" asked Dr. Riley.

"It has been confirmed that Victoria is the last living relative between both her parents," Mr. Collin confirmed.

"Thank goodness for that, or else Kai will kill anybody blood related to her," commented Mrs. Collin, and then she thought for a second.

"Which reminds me, how are we going to stop Kai from going after her professor?" asked Mrs. Collin. "Kai doesn't know she is going back to college and I can't keep the professor hidden forever. He goes back to work near the end of next month and Victoria is in his class."

Mr. Collin nodded to understand. "I marked the professor as one of us. Kai should respect my wishes."

"I hope so," Mrs. Collin sighed, sadly. "Kai just isn't the same anymore. It breaks my heart to see him so torn. And yet he's so blind to see Victoria is falling for him."

"Most of her heart still belongs to Orlando," Mr. Collin reminded his wife gently.

"It's a touchy situation," Dr. Riley said with saddened eyes. "But I know they'll pull through. Especially once he tells her the truth about our existence."

"I may have to interfere with that," Mr. Collin huffed, annoyed. "Kai still doesn't feel she's ready to know."

"He's always been so stubborn," chuckled Dr. Riley. "Having a vamp baby, he'll have to tell her."

"He certainly will," agreed Mrs. Collin to know her youngest offspring well.

"What about the Vampire Covenant?" asked Dr. Riley. "There is no way anybody will want Victoria turned into a vampiress with the power she'll hold because of that prophecy."

"I have an idea to deal with that encounter once they summon for an open discussion about her," said Mr. Collin. "And if I know Kai, he will do everything to protect Victoria. Even if that means taking her to another dimension to keep her safe."

"You can't allow him to leave," Mrs. Collin said, on the verge of tears. "I've only gotten him back after all this time. Adding that with my time with Victoria. If he leaves then we won't be together and I won't be able to watch my grandchildren grow."

"It's not to worry about," Mr. Collin kissed her head. "Kai can't leave since he doesn't have enough vamp babies born from his clan members that were born in our Coven."

"Sharlene is likely pregnant and Jack's other offspring is starting to wake up. Kai will only need two more vamp babies born in his clan. And we know it's only a matter of time before Victoria will be pregnant." Mrs. Collin said, stressing from her breaking heart.

"Sharlene might be pregnant?" Dr. Riley raised a brow.

Mr. Collin explained as he cradled his upset wife. "It's probable because Jack and Sharlene got themselves in a twine. Somebody drugged them with a lust spell last night and I believe they mated without realizing their actions."

"Oh, dear," Dr. Riley shook her head. "That's unfortunate but at least Jack is a responsible vampire. I know he'll step up and care for Sharlene and their offspring."

Mr. Collin agreed while he still comforts his wife as Dr. Riley tilts her head, smiling big. "If I'm not mistaken, I believe somebody else might be expecting a vamp baby."

Mrs. Collin dried her tears and lifted her head off her husband's shoulder. As Mr. Collin cocked his head confused. But before he could ask Dr. Riley what she meant, his cell phone rang.

He pulled it out of his pocket and answered. "Yes?" His eyes darkly widened. "Everyone down to the lobby! Rex and his clan tried to seize Victorian!"

Without further ado, Duncan and the other guardians hurried out the door with Mr. Collin as both vampiresses followed too.
