Ch 152: File for Divorce

Sunrise came fast when Orlando woke me up. Again Crystal lent me a pair of jean shorts and a black top to wear.

Together, Orlando and I were in the kitchen making breakfast. Sure we could've had the servants do this for us but Orlando offered to make everyone food and I decided to join him.

"Did you sleep well?" Orlando asked while he was flipping the pancakes.

"Surprisingly, I did," I giggled as I was cutting up some fruits.

"I'm glad to hear," said Orlando before he cracked some eggs to scramble them up.

He and I were going all out with making a good breakfast.

"I can't remember the last time we've cooked together," I giggled, not really sure why I brought that up.

But Orlando chuckled, "I think it was when I visited you in Egypt."

"I think you're right," I faced him with a bright soft smile and I got lost in those ocean blue eyes. "Ouch!"

I looked down and saw blood dripping from the side of my finger.

"Are you alright?" Orlando said quite worried as I turned on the sink and rinsed it.

I got so dazed in him that I forgot that I was cutting fruit.

"I cut my finger is all," I replied but Orlando turned off the burners and then came right to me and looked at the cut.

"Let me take care of this for you," he smiled and walked away.

He got the first aid kit from the top cabinet. Then he got a bandaid and bacitracin. He took my finger and dried it as blood was still beading down it. He wiped it up with gauze and then applied the bacitracin. It was a decent slice mark. I skinned my finger deep enough for it to break through.

Next, he wrapped the bandage on it and said. "Good as new."

I giggled as our eyes locked in a tight hold. He cupped around my face and I closed my eyes as our mouths leaned in. Just as fast, I pulled away to remember everything that's happened in such a short amount of time between us.

"We should eat," I said, doing my best not to crush him like I did last night.

Disappointed, Orlando gestured and we collected the food. Everybody else was here waiting to eat. Mr. Mill and Mrs. Mill and a lot of others weren't home from being on vacation.

"Mmm, this is pretty good," next to my right, Alejandro commented while he was eating.

"We've always been a good team when it came to cooking together," across the table from me, Orlando stated as he winked at me.

I giggled, "I can't disagree with you on that." Yet as I was eating I noticed my appetite was decreasing.

"Are you feeling ok, Victoria?" Crystal asked next to Orlando. "You don't seem to be very hungry."

"Ya, I'm just anxious to get going," I said sorta poking at my food.

Everyone looked at me with a concerned expression so I just took smaller bites and ate what I could. But if I'm being honest with myself here. I didn't feel right in my stomach. My nose was getting overly sensitive to odors and my breasts felt extremely sore. I kinda had a feeling I was getting ready to start my cycle.

"Hello, I am reporting that I lost my bank card," I told the bank clerk.

"Do you have any photo ID?" She asked and I kinda figured this will stop me from getting any money from my account.

"Unfortunately, I lost everything," I said truthfully as Crystal stood next to me. "Do you think you could just type my name Victoria Collin, it's in the system."

"Mrs. Collin," she looked up at me shocked and said as she typed a little faster. "Oh, yes here it is. Your new card has been waiting for pickup."

I think Crystal and I were both shocked to hear it was that simple.

"So my husband hasn't closed my account?" I questioned. "Since I lost my card and other information."

"Actually, your husband contacted us already and said to ready you a new one. We were told you'd be in to pick it up shortly," said the clerk lady.

I think Crystal and I both lost our jaws to our shoes. She stood up from her seat and went back. Then she returned with a new card in her hand.

"Here you go Mrs. Victoria Collin," she said. "You're all set to go."

"Thank you!"

Crystal and I dashed out of there and got in her car.

"I can't believe Kai did that," I stated as she backed up.

"Ya, he's clearly guilty," Crystal said as she pulled out on the road.

"Maybe but normally he is controlling," I shared. "But lately he has been less controlling like he was trying to change."

At the red light, Crystal shook her head in disagreement. "Yeah, it's called guilt. He's only making sure you don't catch on that he's having affairs behind your back. He's recently come home after dinner. Then he gives you everything to butter you up. That's all a good indication he's fooling around with other women."

"I guess so," I felt heartsick to this painful eye opener.

Yet, I wonder why since I don't love him. Perhaps I was starting to have stronger feelings for him whenever he started to lighten up on his strict ways. I thought he was changing but I guess I was wrong.

"Not to sound harsh Honey, but it sounds like he got bored with you in bed," Crystal lastly added and her statement was like shoving a dagger into my heart.

In a matter of minutes, we arrived at the courthouse. "I wanna file a divorce with my husband Kai Collin," I told the man at the front desk.

The man was shocked but then said, handing me some paperwork. "Fill this information out and we'll mail it to him."

Crystal and I both sat down and she helped me fill it out.

"Cheating!" Crystal was persistent. "Put that right there as to why you want a divorce. Don't forget to add control freak, manipulation..."

Crystal went on and on with multiple reasons to leave Kai. I kinda felt like she was going overboard. Afterward, I returned the forms, and then we left.

"Now it's time to go shopping!" Crystal cheered as she pulled out. "Just like old times!"

My eyes did a double take in the side mirror. I swear I saw Jack, Ace, and Rome on top of the roof of the courthouse when we pulled out. As we passed up the building I didn't see them. I must be losing my mind from stress.
