**Ch 313: Tyler's Negotiations

Everything he elucidated tallies all this up. On that last day I spoke to Tyler, I knew he was acting strange before my babies woke in my womb to forewarn me. Luckily Ivan was by my car, and he was able to explain the truth about Tyler even though I had doubted him at first.

Strange eerie silence chilled the whole cafe before I could say anything to him. Every person had gone quiet, and I peeked everywhere to notice they all stood or sat straight in a frozen stance. Several beats skipped in my heart to see Kai, his advisers, and his guardians surrounding the cafe. Kai's mind control gift is so strong that he has every human under his spell, yet he didn't look strained. Rather he appeared relaxed under the danger I found myself in.

"My bait worked, I see." Tyler ridiculed, narrowing his eyes at my husband.

"Again, you have some nerve, Tyler!" Kai retorted, appearing impassive, but I could tell by his eyes that he was outright livid and angst about my risked life.

"Indeed." Tyler stood from the seat. "I do."

"I will never give you what you want!" Kai growled, and Tyler mockingly laughed. Then he snapped his fingers, and his adviser, who stood behind my seat, yanked my hair and pulled me from the seat. Kai's red eyes darkly contracted as the vampire handed me over to Tyler. His fingers dug into the back of my neck. So I couldn't move from his side.

"All I want is your mate and thirty percent of your territories. Aside from you, everyone can keep their mates in your Coven. I'd say my terms are fairly reasonable, don't you think?" Tyler negotiated, and everyone was rather stunned to hear his excessive terms.

"Nothing about your negotiation is acceptable!" Kai bellowed. "You'll allow your allies to kill my mate if I hand her over to you!"

"Whatever my allies do to your mate isn't my concern. Nevertheless, if you give me what I want then there will be no war between our Covens. It will be our final peace treaty." Tyler vowed, however, Kai didn't take his word for it.

"I'm no fool!" Kai barked. "I know what you're planning—"

Tyler cut in. "Keep your land, and I'll only take your mate. Fair enough?"

Eerie silence stilled the cafe like a ghost was hauntingly crossing it. Kai's eyes gazed at me with such heart. Sure fact, he wasn't about to give in to Tyler's knavish trickery.

"Take my deal, and I vow nobody from my Coven will harass your females or offspring anymore." Tyler iced the cake with his illusive oath to convince Kai since he hadn't gotten a response.

"I won't!" Kai hissed his fangs, and Tyler sighed with dissatisfaction.

"Won't you take the ultimate sacrifice for your Coven by giving me your mate?" he harshly challenged him.

Kai growled balefully hoarse. "I won't fall for your ambush!"

"You'd risk war over giving me your mate?" Tyler manipulated as he angrily pinched his fingers into my skin.

"You won't wile me! You'll kill my mate and still make war with my Coven. You and your allies are aware if I turn my mate, then it will only be harder to conquer my Coven with the power Victoria will receive with her gifts!" Kai summed up Tyler's stratagem plan. Things were much clearer as to why these other Covens wanted me dead. I am a foretold prophecy in their vampiric predictions. Kai, once told me, I'll make his clan and Coven the most powerful of all of them.

Tyler growled before he abruptly threw me into Kai's muscular trunk. Hearing this loud hissing, I twist my head back to notice Tyler's complexion ripens brighter than a red cherry.

"This isn't over!" he roared, but before he would disappear with his clan. Tyler sliced his claws into the throat of this young man who stood diagonally near the booth we sat in. Blood squirts out of his jugular like a sprinkler watering the roses. Only it was his blood splattering all over the hardened wooden marble-colored floor, and on a few nearby square tables and chairs. Unaware of his fate, the young man's dead body plummeted to the floor as a denser amount of blood spewed from the gash wound on his throat. It wasn't until after that that Tyler and his clan left for Kai to mop up this bloody mess. Reality of what happened pulled my mind out of shock. And I was saddened for the young man Tyler killed with his wrath.

"Someone, take the body to the morgue to be cremated," Kai ordered in a rather seethed manner.

"Peroxide will clean up the blood stain," Glenn informed him, walking up to the dead body.

"Do whatever needs to be done," Kai merely whispered as he kept the other humans under his mind control gift.

"What does Tyler want?" I asked while his guardians were busy cleaning the cafe.

"His Coven has been wanting to take over my grandfather's Coven for some time now," Kai verified.

"For what?" I still dig for answers. "Over riches or land?"

Kai clarified. "To an older vampire, there is another thing more treasurable over riches and land. Tyler veiled the truth behind his words."

"And what would that be?" I pried to know. "If he didn't mean land, what does he want?"

"Females," Kai uttered one word.

"Excuse me?" I said confused, and Kai sighed.

"Tyler's Coven isn't after our land. They want our vampiresses because they're some of the strongest predators born," he refuted.

Ace added before I could speak. "Tyler's Coven will detain all the males, including the unborns and the infants from the Collin Coven. All the vampiresses, including the Royal females, will be forced to be breeders. So if Tyler's Coven were to succeed, Rose would lose me and our son."

"That's horrible." I frowned. "Why am I in the middle of this bargaining deal?"

"Likely because his allies want you dead. His Headmaster must've made a deal with their allies to kill you. Then in return, their allies will help Tyler's Coven to take us down once and for all."

"Everything is clean." A guardian interrupted us before another word could be spoken. Kai released the folks from his mind. For a second, everyone looked fogged, but no one thought too much about it. Instead, they carried on with whatever it was they were doing as we walked out of there. After I retrieved my handbag, Kai drove us home. Back in our room, he drew me a bubble bath to help me relax. Nothing more was said about Tyler, even though I had more questions. Kai was done talking about the matter and only wanted me to unwind from all of it.
